FWIW.....New bacon just posted.
Since this thread is new, I'll take a moment to reiterate the expedience of twitter build broadcasts. I'm not highly reliable at posting new builds on xda. Its sorta hit and miss with me. But every build announces immediately on twitter, so that's the fastest way to know when its time to crackflash.
Plus.... I'm a twitter whore.... so follow NAO!!
New build should include the merged theme engine. Hoping it turns out nice!
Enjoy!

Seriously bro? Half our group post roms for devices that we don't personally own. You going to close all our threads too?
It might be not recommended but let the peoples decide for themself if they want to test.
If a recall correctly, ALL roms posted on ALL threads by ALL dev who own the said device show clearly he same disclaimer about the fact they're not responsible.....so excuse me but i don't see any diffrence here : i'm a grownup and i WANT this rom ! Besides i've already tested a dozain of Makelegs's builds, and my tab runs flawlessly.
So dear moderator, thank you for being concerned about my device, and being worried about my decisions, but i don't need your help here.
Close all of protek's cm builds, cm, aokp, virtuous and almost every other dev's threads too.... If you go through a lot of these other threads, the devs tell you in advance that they don't own that particular device so updates would be stretched out.... So if the mods want to enforce the rules, do it right.
Annnnnnd.....we're BACK!!!
Probably be a day or so before i get another build going. Hopefully by then I'll have my own tf101 to break. Guess i should start figuring out root/recovery stuff.
Carry on discussing, please. Sounds like some minor bugs exist, but not aware of anything major.

Gonna give this a shot, love your cm7.
Edit: OK been running this last night and today, only a couple things to report. Using it stock kernel etc I didn't change anything. Wifi calling FC constantly, had to freeze it to shut it up. Wifi ap froze the phone, had to battery pull. Getting a lot of keyboard lag. Rom ran great when it first installed, but now the keyboard lag won't go away even after reboot. Having a hard time getting google sync on 4g, sometimes does sometimes doesn't, wifi is working fine.
Overall very nice rom especially considering no tweaks really done, runs very well.

Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
If you take a look at CM's site, you'll see that their development hasn't advanced any, as far as what's been released, since May 11th. So, I'm sure that once CM releases an update, Euroskank will update based off new source code.

Work around for proper signal bars.
EpicRIL extends SamsungRIL and just transforms some incoming data fro\m the modem so AOSP signal strength can portray it correctly. See commit by Uberpinguin here

Things I have noticed in nightly 6-24 vs beta 4....

So... Are these builds continuously building on the official release - fixing or adding to that build? I ask because the official release is working so good but these builds might make it even better!
TIA,

As devs add code to git hub it is automatically built into the nightly by a build server with no interaction from the devs. We as users of the nightlys help make it better by reporting bugs as they happen. Bugs will happen as the code added is often untested because it is so new. If you don't want any new bugs, use CM7 stable.

And another one four hours later!!
So, I have been working on a custom rom for the skyrocket. Its starting with the base of aokp and I am going to add my own tweaks and additions. Looking for options or ideas of what to add into the rom as well.
Name of the rom is Android Arrow

aokp unofficial?
Is this going to be in place of the unofficial aokp port you did for our skyrocket? The aokp Rom you put up is by far the best I have used. If this will use aokp as the base I'll be a tester. Lastly will this be a slimmer Rom or a feature filled one? Keep up the great work you give noobs like me a reason to try harder.
Whichever way he goes, you can guarantee it will be a DD. Love all that you have brought to us Toyes. As well as all the other great devs and helpful members we have here. Thanks for making my rocket the envy.

I had a weird thought, you need a custom battery icon. Like an arrow inside a circle pointing at the current percentile. That would quite frankly be epic. So far no problems on the ROM. Have yet to test calls, needing phone right now so the Sim is on my captivate while I am on call. I will try stuff and see what happens. You rock toyes

Anyone noticing that the Back key doesn't work in the latest (8-8) nightly? The navbar one and using LMT, neither one works. The 8-08 build on my toro is working fine though.
Edit: NM, it seems that it was somehow related to freezing the AOSP keyboard with TiBu, but not having set up Swiftkey yet. Once I set up Swiftkey, everything was back to normal. Odd.

Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're describing....but I would assume that any Settings related fc is likely the result of the reorganize commit which is more of a WIP than usual. I haven't personally found it too irritating, but I haven't had much time to play in settings on anything, lately.
If that pick is harshing anyone's gig, lemme know, and I can drop a single build without it for folks to use for setup purposes, because I'm not sure how long that cherry will take for them to dial it in, and of course I'm gonna keep picking it. That's what I do!
Just lemme know.

For me it isn't a problem, I love to test every build, just wondering because if it wasn't a known bug, in the next build it can be fixed

No problem mate. Picks are alright as long as the rom boots, lol.
Anyway, can you tell me what blobs you are using? I built from Google's binaries and the rom doesn't boot

I already use this on my TF300T and I might try it on my N7 Good job!

Ubuntu Touch Developer Preview
== NOTE ==
The d2vzw port of Ubuntu Touch is very much a work in progress. Beyond that, it is also a Developer Preview. What this means for you... I'm not quite ready to release an image for starters. Once I do release it, there will likely be a number of things that only partially work, or don't work at all. Regardless, you will be flashing this ROM at your own risk. I am in no way responsible if it eats your cat, burns down your house, bricks your phone, or any other such nonsense.

Why post a thread if the port isn't done yet?
Two reasons... first off, it gives me a more imperative reason to actually finish it. Second, because it helps me determine who's interested, what kind of reception it will get, and (hopefully) find others who are able to help... I'm a bit out of my league here!
== Thanks ==
I have a feeling the list will get longer, but so far... Thanks to Mark and everyone over at Canonical for bringing us Ubuntu Touch in the first place, and thanks to everyone in the #ubuntu-touch channel on Freenode for their help so far... We're making progress!
reserved... just in case
Good luck I hope you finish it.

Simply put, Ubuntu Touch is a Canonical-backed project to bring Ubuntu to mobile devices. They released the developer preview last week with official support for four devices... Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. As usual, the development community has been in overdrive and we already have unofficial builds for a dozen or so other devices. For more info on Ubuntu Touch, feel free to take a look around the official wiki.
I'm very interested in this... I love Ubuntu and use it almost everyday on my PC! Id totally flash this on my phone if its stable / has all the features working that a phone needs... wifi and networking and such.
HOLY ****!
I can honestly say I haven't been this excited for something in a long ass time.
I will gladly test everything out without a problem.
I know how to code in C# and I know a little bit of C++
I also dual boot a few Linux OS's on my computer and have been for the past two years.
If you need any help please ask!
ubuntu! on my phone! yes! finally! ive been watching for a d2vzw port for ubuntu touch....

I'll tell you right now that this won't be a daily driver yet. Even once I get a successful/complete build released, this is still a Developer Preview. It's not really designed for everyday use. That said, hopefully we'll have predominantly all functionality supported fairly quickly, and this is really a stepping stone to a build process for once it's fully stable.

exactly! Even if it's gonna by awhile for daily use, it's a start and a stepping stone like you said!
Will definitely be watching and willing to test! Good luck!

Thanks for the work man. Hope to see this up and running soon!! I've been waiting for some Phonbuntu action for a LONG time!!
Is it not in beta yet? I thought it was officially released. All of the core apps are done being developed; It's just a matter of getting networking working. Once you get it up and running would you mind posting the /device/samsung/d2-common, /device/samsung/d2vzw, and /kernel/samsung/d2 folders to github so I could get it running on the d2att and hopefully help out with getting wi-fi working? theoretically i should be able to get wifi working it's just i need a working base and after dank101 dropped his port there hasn't been anyone working on a release yet. Thanks and good luck! if you need any help let me know i might be able to help out.
Awesome.
I will watching this thread like a hawk.
I have no experience with porting, but if there is anything I can do to help just let me know. I am happy to beta test for you as well.
I look forward to the finished project, and wish you much luck along the way!
