Is anyone playing games like modern combat 3 or GTA 3 on there HTC one s I'm curious because I'm coming from g2x and I don't think my purchased games will work here, any solutions?
Both run well and smooth on my 1S. If you purchased them in googleplaystore they are downloadable for free in your "my apps" section.
(I'm on a dutch tmo 1S (international version?) but I highly doubt there is any difference regarding this)
Though there are quite some games it wont run on my device (for now). Like certain Gameloft games and the Sims.
The only reason it won't run some Gameloft games is because they won't make them download compatible. GTA3 works fine, much better than on the g2x and n64oid is smooth as butter for me.

The t mobile version doesn't have a lot of gameloft games like modern combat 3 or asphalt 6,I bought them when i had an amaze and now i cant play them

You know I was wondering the same thing because a phone as powerful as this really should be able to run any game on the market, yet here we are. Kind of mad I can't play any Modern Combat game online. And yea the audio on GTA is a little off for me as we when I don't use a headset.
I wanted to play let's golf 3 bit it is incompatible with my device. Love that game.

I'm guessing it because of the snapdragon S4 chip... I was happy i could download real racing 2 on my One S because i couldn't on the Amaze and now I get an error... (the one game I thought I could kill time with playing until they made more games compatible with it)Need some good games ASAP, anyone know a Link where we can download the apk, or great games that can pass the time?
I've been playing the PlayStation 1 emulator while I wait for games to be compatible. Sucks to have an awesome device for gaming but you can't play the high end stuff.

I can't play games that use the accelerometer.. The direction is wrong. Anyone else with this problem?
Edit: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't . Not all games have the option to calibrate the accelerometer

Same Question
It's something up with EA's servers not recognizing the device if you're on stock ROM.
If you install a custom rom, it may work. I was able to download Dead Space and Real Racing 2 running the TrickDroid rom, but couldn't on stock. Got that same error.
Dead Space crashes to homescreen when the 3D inits though, Real Racing 2 seems to work just fine, however.
edit: Using my purchased installer .apk from Gameloft when I had the G2, Modern Combat 2 installs, downloads, and at least gets into the main menu (which uses the engine for background). I assume the game itself works.

and i haven't try to test any HD games yet beside this one..

It can't play Gameloft games. They 'are not supported on your phone' according to Gameloft.
Please give me 1 or 2 link to download some HD games which our Sensation can play..

Some Gameloft games are released for the Sensation. I'm playing Let's Golf 2 HD.
I had troubles trying to get their site to link my account with having a Sensation to see what games were available. I was only successful by going to wapshop.gameloft.com from my phone.
Ive played GT Racing HD, The Settlers HD, Asphalt6 HD, Fast and Furious 5 HD, Assassins Creed, Cordy, Hawx, Reckless Racing and a few others.
They all worked fine, though Fast Five has an issue with resolution on the menu screen only and Settlers HD isn't full screen throughout the game.
It's just a matter of time for gameloft to make all compatible

Buy them from the android marketplace and not from the gameloft site. If you buy from gameloft you can only do a one time install. So if you get a new phone later you're screwed. If you buy through the marketplace you can download as many times as you want. Plus if the game doesn't work you can always get a refund if you're fast enough.

How does it handle these games? Is the gameplay smooth or is it a little jerky? I'm tempted to get rid of my vibrant for a sensation and want to make sure it can play games as smooth as my galaxyS.

Just copy the .apk and save it on the computer should work tho.. But yeah marked would be easier but can't find the games there...

I've tried that from my vibrant to my droid x and get an error. When you buy from the website I think it uses some sort of license tied to that phone + phone number.

Hmmm alright Kinda rubbish by gameloft then.. If u buy something it's yours and you should be able to do whatever u want with it.. (so HTC unlock the damn bootloader!)
I got it... I swicted from galaxy s to sensation but seems some of HD games in galaxy s can't play on my sensation. Anyways thz for the replies... Will try another HD game...

Has anyone noticed that almost no new hd games are compatible with the sensation? For example, when I go try to find the asphalt 6 apk file multiple sites say it is incompatible with the sensation. Also, how do I download.apk files in the default browser instead of html files?

change the .html to .apk after you download and then install
I can tell you that Asphalt 6 is looking VERY nice on this phone

Asphalt 6 and Rainbow 6 look very nice on my device. Still can't get Fruit Ninja to play correctly. I believe it's a resolution issue though

Buy the games that are supported for this phone and they will work fine. they have eight so far thats for the sensation , If you bought games for a different device in the past they will sent you a link to download them for your current device and if they don't have a certain game you can get something else our wait

i went to the download section and it showed me the games u have bought but wouldnt work. it would download the mytouch 4g version. i sent an email but no response.
i do remember when i had called gameloft the said i can call and get my games on a new phone. that was a while back though so ill try calling again.

correct, because this phone is definitely powerful enough. THe phone comes with a HD game already. NOVA1. It plays great.
If you dont mind asking what version of Modern Combat 2 is for the sensation ?

i just finished calling them and they sent me all of the games i previously bought except the ones that i havent seen in their site though.
edit: the version they sent me is 1.0.1
My problem is that I wasn't sent invoices for all of the games I purchased through their website. I also have been given free games Eternal Legacy and Lets Golf 2 by them because NOVA doesn't work on the SGS Gingerbread firmware.

GT racing is for free on the gameloft website, just click on the "samsung galaxy S2" when they ask for what kind of device you have (I got the game using a download link by SMS) the game works perfectly on my HTC sensation XE with stock rom (much better graphics then asphalt 6 in my opinion)

Might just be the version I have - it has quite ugly graphics and runs poorly.
Modern Combat 2 however looks very sharp and is smooth.
try "apparatus" fantastic physics game, like "the incredible machine" aka "TIM" if you ever played that

You should Try Aftermath (zombie survival shooter) and Dead Space.

I had order and chaos working with sense. Switched to cm7 using faux kernel and it says can't run on this device ...want to download 9mm, but will probably be the same ...any idea for a fix?

I didnt had any issue either, i just dont like them and they are not worth the money. They just look cheap to me, even the HD games. The graphics is ok, but thats all.
If you want racing, go need for speed. if you want shooter, try shadowgun, dead space etc...

If I get Gameloft from market it usually tells me afterwards ....with sense it order and chaos played but now doesn't with cm 7 ...I did get shadow gun as suggested and its pretty good

So I noticed earlier today that my HTC One X was lagging while playing Rope and Fly 3. I don't usually play games too much, but was waiting for class to start and deciding to play it. You could see some lag while playing this game, and this is a fairly simple game that does not require much.
Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't tried to play another game because I don't use my phone for games much. I was just curious if this was happening to anyone else

My HOXL runs great while playing games. It runs Dead Trigger on High Graphics easily. Which I have to say looks awesome. Most likely your choppy performance is the apps fault itself.

If you are on a stock ROM, the HOX goes into power-saving mode (1 core, 1Ghz IIRC) when the battery is low (below 40% IIRC).
Was your battery low?
Running N.O.V.A. 3 better than my Nexus 7.

Yea haha, sorry bout that. As far as ROM I am running Clean Rom 4.5. Battery was above 60% I'm sure. I will download another game and test it out.
I get lag on stock, unrooted (ugh) 2.2 while playing Temple Run. My AT&T Galaxy S2 never had this issue, nor does my underclocked/undervolted Galaxy Nexus. So no, OP, you're not the only one who has lag with games.

No lag what-so-ever while playing Temple Run. Have even played RipTide GP, Real Racing2, and Asphalt7 and have experienced no lag worth considering. On RipTide Gp with the resolution all the way up I noticed a slight bit of lag if you get the water to splash just right so that a lot of water drops can be seen (if you know what I mean), but that was so little it wasn't worth thinking about.
Yeah, absolutely no lag during temple run. Don't play games on my phone but from the one take I play for 12 minutes per week....no lag. Had an sgs2 too.
