I've never owned an HTC phone that I didn't get a bootloop on. How do you get out of a bootloop if you can't do a battery pull?

Hi I'm new to android that's why I wanted to ask the members here, I just want to know how come everytime I tried to restart my phone by pushing the power button and selecting restart phone it will not restart instead it will turn the phone off and I have to manually push the power button to turn it back on again. I'm using 100% stock sensation updated to the latest ota tmobile phone.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that is happening to. I wonder if it is because I am using the chichitec battery instead of the stock one. Been too lazy to change out batteries to find out if I am right or wrong.

Me Im not using any after market battery, my phone is pure stock and very few apps installed.

OK so when I open an app and click the back button to exit out it sticks. It doesn't let me do anything for about 30 seconds unless I lock it and unlock it. It did this with stock kernel pre-root and post-root didn't do it very often, with netarchy it did it more frequently and with matrix it does it every app I open. Can anybody shed some light on this please!

I have. Ive tried miui, oxygen, cm7 and nightlies, kings rom, deck, stock odexed and deodexed I've tried so many and they all have the same issue. Trust me as soon as I find a new rom I flash it to review it for my blog

im having the SAME issue and its getting annoying. i should have just kept my original NXS but instead my techs ordered me a new one because she ripped my esn sticker off the back. now my replacement has this ****ing issue and its annoying! its almost as if the phone thinks the button is being pressed (back light on only the back button goes off...phone is not functional until it comes back, which can be any given time, sometime the button just tweaks out and flashes on and off for a given time) ugh...wtf is going on

I found that flashing matrix kernel minimizes the issue.

Does anyone know how to get the volume buttons to wake the device? The power button is quite a reach and isn't the easiest button to press. I tried widget locker but it didn't work.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Use miui locker it allows the volume buttons to wake it... I've been using that since my sensation started having power button issues..
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
doesn't work due to deep sleep
I'm interested on this too

I've done some searching, got other answers. But my power button doesn't allow me to turn my phone off and takes forever to wake my screen up. I got a replacement cover and same problem. Any ideas?

Maybe it's a hardware fault. Does it also happen when the phones not in the cover
