no chance of ics yet
just stock hc 3.2
by the way, it doesnt have the spanish lang.
will be having Portuguese language of Brazil in this rom?
Any way to get just the modem and that doesn't require flashing the whole rom?
yes, you can flash only the modem.. just find my other post in this section.. there i put the modem.bin for flashing with odin.
and for portuguese, flash any rom with that lang and then flash the modem.bin on the phone section of odin . that will do the job.
good luck

Okay thanks, but what about going back to original modem, you wouldn't also happen to have the modem file for 2100mhz on you would you?

yes, its the full rom but without spanish..just thai and english.. and korean =)
and no, i dont have the modem for that =(
I'm sorry for being slow about this.
But, I have rooted my P6200L and installed the busybox. Then one day buSybox updated and messed with my superuser and wifi settings, seems like the only way to recover from this is by flashing a new rom and I can't find any other rom like the one my P6200L uses (Baseband version: P6200LVJKL4 | Build number:HT85B.VJLA3 P6200LVJLA3).
So, is it possible to flash using only this file? Or do I need all the PIT, BOOTLOADER, PDA, PHONE and CSC files?
And, sorry again, but this file goes to PHONE, right?

As I said lots of time, only XXKL7 (better EUKL1XXKL7 builds) has a whole language pack instead of other builds. I'm about to get it fixed by export EU language pack from EUKL7 and let we all install 'em maybe by recovery
So even people from Italy, Spain, German, France etc (where Euro crisis is killing us ) can flash ROMs from other builds and get their own language pack

How is the battery life for 2.3.6. Display alone or continue video play can it more than 5 hour?
Well, DXKJ2 is a stock rom. I sent my sgs+ for repair at Samsung center a few weeks ago and they upgrade this rom to my phone. Don't felt any diff frm my previous DXKG2 rom.

Hey guys! Anyone gotten a recent firmware update?
Been using my Note 10.1 for 2 weeks now. I'm rooted (but on stock ROM) so I know I couldn't install the update.
Currently with a HK set with build N8000ZSALG7 (baseband N8000XXLGA)
Technically if I wanna apply the update, I would have to flash stock recovery? I downloaded it off zedomax's tutorial. Its the same for any region right? *Noob alert
Appreciate any help! Thanks!
One X to rule them all
Ok I flashed the stock recovery and updated the firmware successfully.
Bad news is its not JB (duh). The good news is it brings a few small improvements we saw in the recent India JB leak.
First and foremost, the irritating keyboard pop up upon exiting an app opened from a folder on homescreen is gone!!
And I found some small changes to s note
- s note widget is now added
- scroll bar in s note (but no more collapsing of the toolbars for fullscreen! Horrid)
- new book covers
- new landscape note
Unfortunately, the new split screens hasn't been included and mini apps stay the same. Bummer. Also, no airplay for the s pen in gallery and video player.
Other than these, I haven't found anything else. More to come from Samsung I hope! Really wish they would bring back the fullscreen mode in s note though.
UPDATE: PDF import into S Note seems to work ok now

Sorry for the late reply. I only rooted my Note using Zedomax's CWM method (Method 2 if im not wrong). Didnt flash any other roms as i wanted the chinese input keyboard found only in asian roms. I am not sure if you can just change firmware to another region. Most of the roms are based on the EU stock roms.
In order to update, I had to flash back the stock recovery (apparently available online and universal) since it was in CWM recovery after rooting. This will enable any official OTA update.
Any form of flashing rom will result in wiping of data/settings. You need to use titanium backup after rooting. Rooting (flashing CWM and SuperSU) will not cause any data wipe.
Hope that helps.

Hello guys, im the developer of Samsung Galaxy S / S2 / S3 CSC.
Recently i bought S4 and was wondering if the app is working on it. Today i rooted my phone and found out that Root mode is working so you can give it a try: here is a link for the play store version (which is free): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector
Probably most of you know what CSC is. But i`ll try to explain it for novice users:
CSC is customer sales code, this is something that samsung uses to brand their phones. After you flash a custom rom there is a big chance that your csc will be changed and it may not be correct even after flashing stock rom. Here comes the app, you can use it to change the csc to your region specific. Why do you need this: Warranty service, if kies is unable to update your phone (ota updates not working too).
Many people says that the app is not working or smth like that. This is not true. The app only invokes the built-in interface samsung uses, and nothing more, it does not flash csc-s. Also we have found out that it is working only with stock recoveries. All newer samsung devices require root mode (4.0+ android version).
And to end: It wont work on your HTC device
Please test the app and tell me if it is working on your rom.
Edit: I finally added support for MEA roms and newer roms for note2/galaxy s3, etc...give it a try
Tested firmware and confirmed working:

But there are some changes to the Modem part in MEA (I think) because the program does nothing to the Phone!
If you flash ME2 Modem on MEA ROM then CSC Changer works (or at least I've been reading here in the forum that it does)

Guys, correct if i am wrong but I understand that the CSC is your location, and that the other two codes also relate to different versions of phone and modem. CSC versions are (mostly) like phones, you can use a I9100OLBLPB CSC for an I9100XWLPM ROM. You can even mix CSCs from different devices, ie a N7000OLBLR2 CSC on a I9100XWLPM firmware (I have personally tested). Their versions must be the same or very close, ie an Android 4.0.3 CSC can be used on a 4.0.4 firmware.
However, iirc you can't use an Android 2.3.6 CSC for an Android 4.0.3 ROM, and vice versa.

hi amorylo,
first of all, how ever roms you will try you cannot use them. Because i also had same problem and was unable to use a single custom rom.
But then i read somewhere about firmware package which absolutely solved my problem.
Actually it is problem in your rom's firmware package version. I had stock rom firmware version ending with something like LM2 like that which was the latest update for my rom firmware. But i read somewhere that this version have some issues and bugs. so i flashed low level firmware package ending with LK1. which was lower version of my rom firmware. And that perfectly solved my problem and currently i am enjoying my custom rom
So you have to find higher or lower version of your stock rom's firmware package and have to flash it using odin. Hope it will solve your problem.
