Yes, I did it... and by the way, it has Suomi...
Best Froyo Rom Till now. Fast enough, GPS works, no bloadware. Only booting takes long time about 1-2 minutes.
Yeah rom runs well, best so far by a mile.

New is the version 2.2.1 instead of 2.2 (see history of the page)
Otherwise i don't know what is difference
This isn't new it is the same .sbf that my ROM is based on

No, no fixes. I did flash over 2.34 though if that makes a difference.
Mods could delete this topic as long as this rom isnt new, so ppl wont spend time here.
Well, I don't know if it's new are not but I do know that it's fully working unlike the last one I tried. I'm a happy guy. Yesterday I thought I had a bricked Defy(thanks to Sorensiim for his McGyver trick) and today I have a fully functional Froyo Defy.
ROM is rooted
3G works
Camera/Flash works
Google apps and market work
For those interisted I went from a clean install of 2.34. Did a wipe. Installed the new(?) chinese froyo 2.2.1 ROM. Wiped again. And all is well.
In this rom, is there a bootloader file?
Maybe there is a unlocked bootloader because some one said he could flash all the time all now?
Which Language is inside?
COuld we go back to stock rom?

In rom copy d/l, select the .fls file in the CP bin field, leave the AP bin field blank and allow it to flash the file. That's the so-called standard procedure, didn't try it though.

Any idea on how to just flash the .fls file? i dont want to flash teh whole kdz and go through process of rooting and reinstalling CW etc.
Installed the kdz file, it works BUT...........
NO market (theres a different market and you can't get the normal one to work)
CONTACTS become chinese????????????
The signal bar stays white (no change in colour from white to green) like it was in froyo (is that all that was causing the GC issues?)

Root it and install CWM then flash any of the GB Roms available on the forum.
this will fix all the above issues.
Your APN Settings have not been set that's why you have no data connection.
You could try and install google apps if you haven't already to fix market.

hi amorylo,
first of all, how ever roms you will try you cannot use them. Because i also had same problem and was unable to use a single custom rom.
But then i read somewhere about firmware package which absolutely solved my problem.
Actually it is problem in your rom's firmware package version. I had stock rom firmware version ending with something like LM2 like that which was the latest update for my rom firmware. But i read somewhere that this version have some issues and bugs. so i flashed low level firmware package ending with LK1. which was lower version of my rom firmware. And that perfectly solved my problem and currently i am enjoying my custom rom
So you have to find higher or lower version of your stock rom's firmware package and have to flash it using odin. Hope it will solve your problem.

What do you mean by baseband not changing? I am confused. I mean you just have to flash another version of baseband. Try flashing ZCLM2/ZCLE2 etc. Tell me exact what problem you are facing.

You are doing it wrong buddy! First you are uploading HOME.tar everywhere.
There are three files in firmware package, PDA.tar, CSC.tar, MODEM.tar.
Upload in respective ODIN files space,
PDA.tar.md5-->PDA,
MODEM.tar.md5-->phone,
CSC.tar.md5-->CSC
LEAVE BOOTLOADER EMPTY!
And as LS.xD said, you install OFFICIAL FIRMWARE PACKAGE! Also you can install firmwares of different countries.
In the End, Don't Give Up! :good:
