If you have a Micro SD Card USB Adapter install Mini Tool Wizard Partition Home. The first partition need be FAT32 Primary then the second partition ext4 Primary.
He isn't talking about sd card...he's talking of system...

If you are compiling a new kernel, you have to change file in the kernel-architecture, there is e.g. a arm/configs with the special *defconf-file (enable: ext4=y). Then you have to add a mount-command to init.rc resp. init.goldfish.rc (in boot.img) for a correct booting of system and data-partition (stl12 and 13). Here in the forum is a thread "how to compile a kernel" or so, see there.

I was using link2sd since long and everything was working fine but I dont know something went wrong yesterday now whenever I try create any link to sd it says
Cant create coz system is read only. Can you guys plz help me to overcome this problem

1st don't post thread like this in development section ...2nd regarding your problem I know what u have done wrong ....u tried to integrate update to system which changed ur file system or messed up ur file system ....now d things u have to do if u have taken any backup of ur rom previously then restore it ...ur problem will be solved .....and remember don't ever try to integrate update to system ....Google play got updat now and then ...don't try to integrate this update or any system app update ...best of luck

And you just need to do a clean install of the same rom...

I am using ungaze script to increase memory right now. Just download the zip files and place them accordingly from the link below. It makes your ext partition your internal memory.

Download ungaze.zip
Download root explorer
Extract both files using root explorer, they will go to sd card/extracted
copy files and paste them like this
02ungaze_init -> /system/etc/init.d ,
busybox_d2sd -> /system/xbin,
and e2fsck -> /system/bin
Hold each after pasting to see the options
Go to permissions and change as shown in the link in previous post.
Do this after a clean flashof rom and backup all your data too.

Stock kernel won't work. hello guys ......i am new to XDA....here i found a thread about galaxy pocket custom rom where i found the non officially released CWM for pocket.Just to experiment i flashed Galaxy y's creeds rom and chobits rom in galaxy pocket....and WOW ! it didnt soft brick my phone and started as normal.....but then i find the phone isnt mounting neither internal nor external sd and some bug in lock scrn but evrything else is fine ....then i flashed ddlf2 stock firmware using odin....and since everything is working fine.....any solution to this sd card problem so that i can use galaxy y's rom in galaxy pocket??????? thanxx :angel:

hey....me too i ported miui rom for galaxy y in my galaxy pocket.......everything works fine.....except sd card and sim card......i tried to backup and mount....but didnt work....

Just try to replace the "sdcard" file in the bin folder (system/bin) with the galaxy pocket "sdcard" file and replace the vold.fstab, vold.conf in the system/etc with the galaxy pocket have.. I have test it in unoficial cm7 for pocket by adnan that first can't read sd card but it just can read internal storage after I try.... I not test it on other galaxy y rom.. so, try it.

Sorry I forget to give this..
Its just simple.. We just need to replace the file "sdcard" and "vold" in system/bin and replace "vold.fstab" and "vold.conf" too with sgp has.. then its can be read the sdcard.. I have try it on jellyblast v3 its work but in task manager the internal readed as external and the external doesn't readed.. but you can view your external data normally in sdcard/external_sd
So, need to fix it.
And about your question, yes you can do it but I think you just use an update package...

Hi saw ur system partition increase post but since new member can't post there. I'm using stock Rom v2 if I wana increase my app partition only to install more third party apps then pls provide same zip kinda files to increase app partition or suggest similar way because I'm not convinced with any custom Rom yet as all seem to be very buggy also pls suggest a gud custom Rom with gud ui n best battery backup. Digyvijaykumar123 has given shortcut for increasing system partition similarly provide zip files to increase app partition pls

hi one last doubt so if we use the above link and increase the system partition to 1gb or 880mb or 507gb still the app partition will be increased to only 1.8gb or it will be according to the size of the system partition zip file pls explain ??

dude if he can solve your problem then why not ask him to :| ask him to tell you how to increase app partition to 2.3gb.. problem solved.... problem is i dont know of the method...maybe its changing the ebr values a bit more but since i dont know the exact thing.... i dont want to give suggestions as it might brick your device

use 880MB partition method by digyvijaykumar123 & the Pure Xperia Custom ROM( partition not required) by pintothakur007.. i dont feel any bugs now & the bugs i felt was cleared... it has good battery backup & performance & UI... hopes i help u...

did you try it?? was it successful??
Flash stock rom v3 using sp tool and install cwm... Then flash any partition by digvijay kumar..recommended 1gb and 880 mb... And then flash miui rom for a110q..this rom is beautiful and good battery backup....
