[Q] Unlock Omnia W for installing xap??

i've got a question dat how can i install some xap which i'm having on my pc..i am having samsung omnia w running mango..i dnt have a single penny so tell me a method which dose not require money..i'm frm india..so does the students developer program work in india??

It would work...but i am not sure, my Omnia W will come next week so I haven't tried!

Need Interop Unloack
You need to interop Unlock and wp7 root tools to to install xap i guess.
once you update to newer firmware the unlock just don;t work. dont update to 7.10.8107.

You've got the latest update. So there is no successful interop unlock available for 8107 or later yet. Only way is to go for Dev unlock spending $99 with which you can sideload upto 10 apps. If you don't wish to spend $$, you can student unlock your phone, using which you can sideload 3 apps. Google for tips n tricks for students unlock.

You could unlock your phone using WindowsBreak if you revert the firmware update (either roll back the update using Zune's backup, or re-flash an older stock ROM)

Try getting verified as a student at http://dreamspark.com
At that point, sign up for an App Hub account. http://create.msdn.com
If you were successfully verified, you should be able to select the 'student' option when you sign up and get a free account. That's what I did, but I am in the U.S., so I'm not sure if it is different.

try to see if your university has something with microsoft here in brazil most of them have!

Unlock I535 Canada help

I like in Canada and i'm with TELUS... anyway i bought this phone on ebay and it was 150 dollars great deal... I have always just bough an unlock key without issue but i guess this model i535 is different ( damn you verizon)/
I just want to unlock it so i will be able to use my local Telus...
the phone is running 4.42 and kernel 3.4.0
if someone could please let me know the EASEIST way to unlock this - I have never rooted a phone before but have to learn some how! is there no other way to unlock this than rooted it?

It should be sim unlocked out of the box. Have you stuck a sim in the phone and tried to add Telus APNs?
The only root exploit available for the VRUDNE1 4.4.2 OTA is to use Towelroot. There is no bootloader unlock available for this OTA which means there is no chance for AOSP nor downgrading the firmware to anything prior to 4.4.2. Safestrap is available but you would only be able to dual boot another VRUDNE1 based rom, nothing else.

Of course it didn't, the sim card would belong to the previous owners phone number etc. You need a sim from your carrier with your info, phone number etc. See my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58582227

Remove simlock

Hi xda, it's been a while since I've been here and looking around has me scratching my head a little.
Anyway I have just purchased a galaxy s6 from eBay foolishly thinking it would be easy to remove the simlock but after a little reading I'm beginning to think I may have made a mistake. I'm not sure what network the phone is locked to as I have not yet received it and the listing states in the title O2 but the description says Vodafone, all I know is the model begins G920F. I thought maybe rooting and flashing a stock firmware would remove the simlock but after reading it looks like this is not the case. I then read also about "tripping knox" which sounds like something I don't want to be doing.
Root is probably something I will be looking to do in the future but not essential right now but I would be very grateful if somebody could tell me the best way to go about putting my virgin sim in this phone.

I thought the 920F is the facotry unlocked international version so any sim would work.
When are you receiving this? Where are you trying to make this work.

Most European providers don't simlock, so you will most likely just have a provider rom, they are easy to replace with a generic stock rom

He is sending the phone out first class tomorrow so I'll report back after I have received it. I'll be using it in the UK, hopefully I'll get lucky and just be able to use it as soon as I get it. Thanks for the replies people.

Try buying an unlock code from one of the many reputable online unlockers.

I am also in the same boat. I bought samsung galaxy s6 sm-g920f model from malaysia and now when I insert indian sim its say its locked and asking for unlock code. I am just worried now. i am thinking if i can flash stock indian firmware sm-g920i to realease the lock.

Well I received the phone today and it seems I don't have to worry about the simlock as it's a bloody counterfeit!!! Grrrrrrrrrr, in the middle of a dispute atm but hopefully I'll receive a refund. Anybody that wants to help please see this thread...

Hey guys! Before I start I just want to thank everyone who even reads this thread. Hopefully we can all benefit from this thread.
Now onto my question. I have a Lumia 640 LTE that I bought prepaid from Newegg a couple months ago when they were very cheap. I wanted to get the developer preview but it wasn't compatible so I found Build 10240 here . Now I want to go back to Windows Phone 8.1 of T-Mobile but i'm not sure how.
My questions is:
1. How exactly do I get back to Lumia 640 LTE T-Mobile Windows Version 8.1? (I don't care what I have to install or how difficult it is...I just want to get back to the old version )
2. Will I still get the OTA update whenever it will be coming?
3. What is the product code (or where to find it) for Lumia 640 LTE T-Mobile so I can get the ROM on NaviFirm+ (which I have used in the past)?
