[Q] Nexus S i9025 - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've seen a few references to metal backplates for Nexus S i9025 'phones.
These I have never heard of. Are these similar to the 9020/9023 models?
MvG,
F.

Well, the Galaxy Nexus is the i9250, so maybe what you have seen is only a typo.

Has to be a mistake, because I just noticed the back cover would never fit a 9020.
Shame.
Link below in case anyone ever wanted one for the 9250.
http://cellularworkshops.ecrater.com/p/13858187/samsung-galaxy-nexus-i9025-titanium

In the link it self it says Samsung galaxy nexus.
Edit. And everything on the page states Galaxy nexus....

[Q] samsung galaxy s tablet for tmous?

Just came back from tmobile and i asked the owner of the store if the unreleased samsung galaxy s tablet will come to tmous?!?!? he said yes... I was like really?
im just wondering if anyones heard this from another source i have done a seach and i heard verizon was getting a galaxy s tablet as well but to my understanding its just a rumor but who knows it So back to my question has anyone heard this aswell?
Edit: confirmed link is here --->http://press.t-mobile.com/articles/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-tmobile
too bad they didnt give an exact release date lol

fail verizon fail!

Just heard that verizon has officially passed up on carrying the galaxy s 2. What a **** move, it was going to be my next phone. I guess sammy didn't want to add 4g so they passed. At least that's what i read just now on neowin. God im ticked!
Fine with me. I will not touch another Samsung phone after the epic fail with the Galaxy 1 series (I had the ATT Captivate).

Yep, it's a good phone. Galaxy s1 series issues were mostly the file system's fault. They went with ext4 on the s2, not the crappy RFS hacked up crap they used to use.
Well hopefully the nexus prime is coming then.
OP needs to calm down though, he'll start scaring people

They're going to have an s2, just not call it one.

lol looking at that picture I can see why Samsung is getting the ever living sh*t sued out of them. Wow! Never really thought the overall look was similar to the Jesus-phone but now I do 100%.
as long as i can get one and it looks like the gs2 ill be happy. but knowing verizon it will look totally different.

GPS was horrible on the Galaxy 1 series and glancing over at the Galaxy II thread, there still are GPS issues.

True, forgot about that. At least the driver for GPS is opensource in the S2, so potentially it could be fixed by the community if it's not a hardware issue itself.

its not a widespread issue either. no different than the gps issues with aosp roms. besides i never had any issues on my epic4g or ns4g....well minus sprint's crappy service & signal.

He's on the rag. Ignore it, anyone with a .sig larger than the message is full of themselves.
Vzw probably passed on the sgs2 becuase they are getting the nexus prime made by Samsung. Why carry both phones, it doesn't make sense, if the prime is everything it is supposed to be no one will want the sgs2.

It sucks that Verizon decided against the GSII. I am ready to move on from the Thunderbolt. I don't think the Bionic will be quite on par, but who knows....
Oh well, hopefully they'll get the Nexus Prime.
My sgs2 actually saved me from being a rom addict lol. Since I got it I didn't feel the need of custom roms. Stock gs2 rom its perfectly fast... I have the phone for about 3 months and still running stock ...phone is sick.... I hope the t mobile or sprint version comes with the exynos CPU.....

I've heard that several times now-- basically every "premium" android phone that's come down the pipes from them

[Q] Should I get the SGS2?

I'm not sure if this is the right section, but it seemed like it.
Anyway, I have an HTC Inspire and I've been thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy S 2, but I'm not sure if I should get it, or if I should wait until I can get an LTE phone. What do you think?

You could get the Galaxy Note instead
You could also wait for the Nexus Prime
Forever living in my Galaxy Ace using XDA App
There's no doubt the Galaxy SII is an awesome phone.. And while my vote would be to pick one up, the Nexus Prime is around the corner like EmoBoiix3 mentioned.
Then again if you keep waiting for the next phone to be released you'll be waiting forever.
Is the Galaxy Note a phone or tablet?? It said it was like 5.3 inches or something like that...
And will the Nexus Prime or the Galaxy Note be on AT&T?

The Galaxy Note is a big phone .
I'm not sure about the American operators though .
Forever living in my Galaxy Ace using XDA App
I read somewhere that it would be coming to America on AT&T 3G/4G bands...How far away is the Note and the Nexus Prime? Also, do you think 450 shipped is a good price for the GS2? I'm not sure if it is, because if I wait a little while, the price will probably go down a good amount.

which phone is best ?????

Samsung galaxy S2
Samsung galaxy Note
Samsung galaxy Nexus
Of those, I'd get the note. I'm not fond of android but that screen is nice.

This would be my last choice. The current ICS version is plagued with issues, I'd wait til Samsung takes it and fixes it's shortcomings.

It isn't allowing the CPU to sleep, Verizon users are having serious signal issues, some users aren't getting multi-touch, also the fact that the gs2 is smoother thanks to Sammy's work on it. The only amazing thing ICS really brought was the ability for devs to build across phones and tablets more easily. GB was just as well off.

Actually it wasn't a signal issue with Verizon phones. The cpu sleep issue is fixed, and the multi touch doesn't affect everyone, and has also been fixed with the software update...but ok. I would hardly call that "plagued".
completely agree with u
it had some launch issues but now 99% has been fixed so go for galaxy nexus
do NOT get galaxy s 2 because number 3 is around the corner (March hopefully)
nokia lumia 800
what about htc sensation?
By software, Galaxy Nexus
By hardware, i THINK it's the Galaxy S II
I prefer the Xperia Play though,
And maybe you would want to wait on the Xperia S
(Yes. I'm a Sony loving guy )
Out of those 3 choices I'd say the Galaxy Nexus solely because its running stock Android and will get official Android updates first.
As for the issues, meh I dont care coz I dont even own the phone.

I'd have suggested the same, but I didn't want to be called a troll. The 900 looks even better though... Crazy stuff.

Actually it is not trolling. You can't argue that the hardware is not old technology. And my opinion on the software is in line with the majority of this forum. Trolling would be going into the WP7 forums and starting threads praising android.

Keyboard cover for original S6 NOT edge+?

Hi, when the intriguing keyboard cover for the s6 edge plus was announced, the posts mentionned that it would come out for the plain s6. The cover is on the s6e+ Samsung accessories website, but cannot find it for the s6. I really want this keyboard on a not enormous phone, anyone knows about this? Typing this message from my Galaxy Relay 4g!!
Thanks

Back to the date released Note5/S6e+, HK Samsung said there will be one for S6/S6E later but no time schedule provided yet. Since Note5/S6e+ just out for like two weeks.......... it is too early to say we'll never have that keyboard.
Any news about this? There's a lot of hype for physical qwertys!

The SlimType cover turns your Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge into a QWERTY smartphone
http://www.phonearena.com/news/The-SlimType-cover-turns-your-Samsung-Galaxy-S6-or-S6-edge-into-a-QWERTY-smartphone_id77299
This new hardware might be able to help you but still not as good as the Samsung one because it wants you to sit down to use it?
