My battery meter almost never goes down... started doing this after flashing BAMF remix, then i reflashed..no dice. Sometimes ill see it drop by 2-3 percent at a time.. sometimes 1%, after like 30 minutes or so, but with constant usage and 4G on this shouldn't be possible.. Could my voltages actually be getting me better battery?
Here is all I use, running Bamf CF 2.0 kernel (ignore my signature)
368 750
768 875
1024 1000
Also rebooting drains about 3-12% of battery at time... give or take.

The same thing is happening to some people, including me, in this thread:
losing about 5-10% battery on reboot
Someone suggested bump charging and wiping battery stats, but that hasn't fixed the problem for me.
i've had similar problems with mine and my reboots usually drop me 5-10%,, which is rediculous!
I refuse to bump charge, and I have calibrated twice in the past two days

Why would you refuse to bump charge?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Yea I heard bump charging can hurt your battery if you do it to much or more than once and every time you flash a new rom and kernel battery stats get thrown off anyways for a couple of charges

Heres what I do and it doesnt seem to drop percentage after reboot like that and read wierd or hang but when I flash a rom or kernel in CWR I clear battery stats like 3 times then charge phone completely with it off
I use imoseyens lean kernel and been very happy with battery performance and it reading right

I don't think the kernel would cause it to read wrong..and I thought you were supposed to charge the phone fully before wiping it?

When I reboot and lose 10% or so it seems to catch back up. If I look at the graph there will be a big drop from the reboot then it will seemingly use no power for the for a long time then continue to decrease at at normal rate.

any time I check my battery use, camera and gallery are taking anywhere from 10 - 30% of battery but they have no data when you click on them. Any idea why?

I noticed this as well but I'm still getting great battery life. Maybe it's a problem with how the ROM is reading battery usage. Is your battery draining rapidly?
No

Must be a GB only issue, because they never show up in the list on the 2.2 version.
Can anyone look at these screenshots and advise me on how I can get better performance from my battery? I just flashed SkyICS (latest version) hoping to get better performance from my battery, but it doesn't seem to help. This is with what I would consider medium to heavy usage. I used my phone most of the day to browse the web and check facebook.
Any ideas?
Yeah a bigger battery and some fairy dust

That's with an extended battery....
Bro heavy users like you and me can only get by by keeping a charger on hand undervolting underclocking
Edit: but 4.0 rom's don't have custom kernels yet
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
Looks like the screen has been on for at least 4 hours. All you can really do is underclock it and freeze all the stuff you don't use.
Guess I will research how to underclock.... any good starting points?

I prefer no frills cpu. It will report the wrong settings when the toast pops up, but if you check cpu spy you will see it's working
Here's a couple basic and obvious tips and you might already know this, but no one has mentioned it yet in this thread so...
Turn wifi off when there are no wifi networks to join, but I've heard not to let it sleep when you are wifi connected.
Leave bluetooth and gps off when not using it. I don't let allow any of google's location services to run in the background myself. Not sure how well that helps the battery though.
Some people say leaving off autobrightness turned off will help battery life and some say leaving it turned on is better for battery performance. I'm not sure who is right but you might try it both ways and see if one is better for you.
I've tried most of those things and they don't seem to help.
I'm in an area with lte but coverage is spotty at work. Could that be what is mainly killing the battery?

88% after 41 minutes of checking facebook and Google Reader? Is that normal? On wifi I should add...

There is no normal, everyone has different setups, different apps, and different lifestyles. If you're saying the screen has been on for 41 minutes, that seems ok.
Thanks for the help everyone. I guess I'll just keep chargers handy

Although your intentions aren't meant to be a best of thread it is... no one can really judge a ROM Based on YOUR use...
So you need to try it out on your own and check battery help thread it will help a lot...

i've had my 727 for about a year now with multiple flashes. if in deep sleep, battery life is VERY good, i'm talking 2-4% attrition an hour tops. but under usage, 15 minutes will drop me 7-10% depending on what i'm doing. does anyone have this same issue?

I get 1% an hour deep sleep, sometimes less, but I don't background sync so...
also my best was 1 day 5 hours with over 3 hours screen on time on LTE only

Sounds about right for me then. There is definitely some battery capacity loss as it drains a bit faster than a year ago.
i leave LTE on at all times, brightness between low and auto, and my total screen time will be around 1.5-2 hours max.

the only way to get above 2 hours onscreen time is to heavily under volt, -75mV or above if u can. if you aren't already, you're missing out. Battery gains for no performance loss.

thanks for the reply Icenight89. i've never done this before, just played with governor settings under performance.
do you recommend setcpu or voltage control?

I just wanted to say that I installed TFQ Lightning zap kernel on top of vincoms SUPERLITE, and used his recommended underclock / undervolt / governor / io settings. I will report back in a few days once I've had a few runs with this setting.
super lite is a good, stable ROM, no bells and whistles, only what u need for a dd. lightning kernel is stable, and I recommend either voltage control or incredicontrol.

Im using Mohans latest Embryo 6.1 and tried both of the voltage controls you referred to and incdredicontrol gave me messages that stated there was a conflict with the kernel. I Installed voltage control but it appears the minimum I can set it is 192 mhz which is the same settings in the performance tweeks portion of the rom. I read earlier that it could be taken as low as 75. Any idea what I might be overlooking.

This is what you need
Default Maintenance Build
After talking with Scott about some Infuse issues there was only one memory related change between 4.2.2 and 4.3.x. I was advised to remove this change and rebuild and test. Myself and a couple others have been running this build for the last few days and it seems to me that there is definitely an improvement.
BeanStalk-4.3.1015-20131104-infuse4g.zip - 177.07 MB
There are no new Beanstalk features in this build, it is basically the same one you are running now with the one memory related change but I would still do a full wipe before flashing.
Thanks to Scott for the advice, don't forget to show your love to scott.hart.bti and donate to his diaper fund.
.....almost forgot, I put CWM v6.0.4.4 in this build

Sry to say this but i have downloaded the package that you mentioned in above message and now using this.but basic problem is 1)it takes around 3 hour to fully charge when data network is off and it drains 15-20% prr hour in ideal condition.
2) keyboard crash happens
3) sometime back button cant work.i have to switch off and on the phone.
