[Q] Dedicated Camera Button - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Hello i wanted to ask if i can force the power button to take pictures when i push it once instead of clicking on the screen.
i don't want to the power button to lose it's original behavior, i mean when i hold it for long enough it will still show the Shut down and REBOOT etc.. options.
i tried the one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916154, but i all i can find is MENU & BACK.
is there a way?
thank you.

Try using Razodroid rom.. It has got the feature u opt to have..

There is already a hack available for stock roms by wilfredcool007 in the dev section...
And most of the stock based custom roms already use his mod...
And all cm7 also have this option...
And it behaves as shutter key only in the camera app...nowhere else...

(Q) screen shot?

Which rom do i need to do screen shots? Or is it just something I have to flash or install
Sent from my Google Nexus S using xda premium
If you're rooted, there's an app called ShootMe that lets you take screenshots pretty easily. No need to flash a different ROM. Unfortunately the developer removed it from the Market, but I'm sure you can find the apk flying around the internet somewhere.
If you cannot find it, pm me

I'm running an miui.us 1.10.21 but if I flash a cm7 thoes roms have it built in where you can just like push or hold a button (power ect...)
Sent from my Google Nexus S using xda premium
this may seem like a crap answer. but if you can wait for 2 months, ICS will have native screenshot capibility
You can also do it without rooting. App is called No Root Screenshot It. But it's not very easy en takes a long time to actually take a screenshot.

MIUI has a screen capture feature built-in.
I don't use MIUI myself but Google tells me the shortcut is:
Screen Shot: Press "Menu" key and "Volume Down" key at the same time to print a screen. The printed image is saved in the directory of MIUI in the sd card.
I don't know which alteration you're using but if that doesn't work, ask the developer of the ROM or check his changelog and see which command combo works.

[Q] MIUI4G3 v4 Longpress search + USB

I got two questions about the MIUI4G3 v4 rom. First, is it possible that longpressing the menu buttom becomes search again and second, my phone doesnt recognize it when I connect him trough usb. Though I can still just (dual-)mount him with Root Toolbox like I used to do, but I cant tether my 3G anymore..

Long pressing does not path to search button ,if you press it once you will get search button in menu . and for the usb you can use (opre 1.2) it works so smooth then anything else
But in some apps, for example Zimly, you gotta use that to look stuff up, so that function is disabled then? & cant find opre, is it an app on the market or so?

[Q] Cant remap keys on Jelly Bean 4.1.1

hello O1 people XD. i need help with something that i need to do with my phone 'cause power button is almost broken.
in every rom that i installed in my O1, i remapp the search key as power button. even in ICS i made this change without any problem but i don't know if JB is diferent.
when i try to remap the search key by editing qwerty.kl and/or thunder_keypad.kl, then it looks like it comes unaccesible. so when a restart the phone, all buttons losses their keymaps. i can not do almost anything. I try button remapper apk but it just recognizes power key and headsethook key only.
i made a logcat and there's a message that always repeat: "W/SocketClient( 98): write error (Broken pipe)"
so my question is: do anyone try successfully to remap keys on jellybean? what should i do?
thanks guys...

[Q] Broken power button

My power button just stopped working for no reason. one day it started to act weird and work very weak and another day it stopped working totally. I seen a video of screen replacement where the person opened the phone and you could see motherboard. I was thinking maybe somehow the wiring got loose but when I looked at the video there was no wire going to power button, What could make it not work? how can I fix it? Thank you
Is there way to bootup phone without power button?
Yes, with latest wkpark bootloaders and with custom kernel. Remove battery and put it back. The phone will start automatically.
Then you can flash kernel from v28b leaked rom. You turn on the screen by pressing volume down button.

I could flash it also through recovery lol. But I really would like to keep it. For now Im booting up phone with os hacking tool through USB what means I can only do so only at home. For now I try battery to not die . Also cm10 has a volume rocker wake option which unfornately stops working when cpu goes to deepsleep so I always must plug headphones in and out so headphone jack is probably next thing Im going to break. Thanks for the tip I will try iodaks kernel .
