[Q] confuse of witch is the stock tmous rom + ota update

hello guys i'm trying to go back to stock im on tmobile usa
but the thread if [ROM]Shipped Pyramid ROM
has two version of tmous and i dont know witch one is newest
RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.27.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_192098_signed
or
RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed
and do i need to flash the stock radio or it already comes with the rom?
now i see some people are having new update
my friend from tmous is testing a sensation with the update. he said it dont have 2.3.5+
that the update is just to have better battery life and gps lock faster.
ok i know i need to be stock and maybe not rooted to get this update, but im concern of losing my s-off root
and cant root back

1.29 Is the correct Ruu, after flashing, the phone will boot up then check for update. After you install the update you will be on 2.3.4.
You will loose root but keep s-off. Just reroot, it's easy once you have s-off.

The one you should run is the 1.29 and it already comes with the radio included.
You will loose recovery and root but will keep s-off and your phone will be 100% stock and ready to accept whatever updates are available.

thanks guys my concern was i could root the same way i did if i update
one thing guys i download the file and its a exe format!
im on macbook
do i need windows?
or how do i extract the file
ok i download the fille to my pc ran all the instruction on the set up it recognize my phone but the phone didnt reboot or nothing
and it says fail now i try to do it again and this time it wont recognize my phone

after it reads my phone and i click update i get this error[155] unknown error
the rom update utility cannot update your android phone.
please get the correct rom update utility and try again.
i download the RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed

What are ROM do you have on your phone before running the RUU? Do you have a Nandroid backup from before you flashed something custom? I had a similar error occur when I tried to run the RUU when I was running one of the 1.78 leaks, I had to restore my Nandroid from before I flashed the 1.78 leak and then the RUU worked.

Can i just run the RUU.exe without doing the CID on adb? I just want to confirm because I have read on the other thread that I have to run CID on adb before i run the RUU.exe from my computer in order to revert back to stock tmous rom.

got a little Problem with the TMO Europe RUU.
I have to go back to Stock due to a warrenty issue. Thus I wanted to do this with the above mentioned RUU.
I first was on ICS with new 3.25 firmware. So i went back to old 3.12 FW and the 1.17 HBOOT. After that I installed the ARHD 4.x.x
When I now try to update it says update from 2.0.8,... to 1.45
but when it about to Start there is this 155~159 Error which says that it is not the right RUU
My Sensation was shipped with TMO Branding thats the reason why i tried it with this RUU
I also tried some other setting like:
super cid' ed again
3.24 firmware
different RUU
...
Can someone help me please​
Solution that worked for me:
You have to be sure that you took the right RUU otherwise it's no good
Do this on your own risk ! For me it worked without any problems
start the ruu an continue till the step where it says update from X.X.xXX to your y.y.yyy
change the view of your Windows folders the way that you can see the hidden files
go to c:\User\YOURNAME\appdata\local\temp
there search in one of the last edited folders (which has to be name cryptic like :{18abb736-d55c-4fa4-a3e5-7c78512fa924} for Rom.zip
copy it to somewhere you'll find again
name it to PG58IMG.zip
put it on your sdcard
restart into bootloader and it will update to your chosen ruu

Hey, Please how did you solve your problem? Ive got a similar issue with my sensation

Try going to fastboot and run the RUU from there.

Almost exactly what I did at the time, only difference is I renamed it to PG58IMG, and not PG68IMG.

i just flashed it while im in fastboot and everything when good untl i got the error saying:
error[110] file open error.
what can i do now, i dont have a bootloader or fastboot cant do anything with my phone its all dead!!
stuck at the HTC silver black screen and thats all please help me.

ok ...you have blaack screen with silver htc right ?
you need to open a command prompt from your adb/fastboot folder
and type
fastboot reboot-bootloader
to get out of this ...you will be taken to bootloader btw

Did you change you try everything I Did?
before you tried to flash the RUU?

he is stuck at RUU mode thats all (black screen with silver HTC )
he is not bricked
he can simply get out of it using fastboot commands
(fastboot reboot-bootloader -> to go back to bootloader)
BTW ..awesome app drawers ..it would have been great if you do it for SENSATION too

[Q] I may have bricked my phone. Help please

Here's what happened. I was using internet-pass-through with my Sensation XE for me download games and saw in my notifications that there's an available system update which is the android 4.0, etc. I downloaded the file and installed it but right after i got stucked with picture of an android and beside it is a exclamation point in a triangle. I removed the batt and turned on the phone and nothing happened, nothing new. So, I searched in youtube and saw a way of updating ICS in my phone. My phone had S-off but still using Stock rom. I entered the bootloader then CWM then formatted the system, cache, then tried to update to ICS since i got the zip file already in my SDcard. After then, the installation was aborted, it says cannot fine system/build.prop or something. I rebooted my fone and I got stucked up with the HTC logo and white screen. Omg please help me.

To get Ota update working you need the stock unrooted rom and stock recovery.
Best is to make a backup of your apps and data (not system data) and run an official RUU to revert it back to stock unrooted, then update with OTA.
After upgrading to ICS you can flash CWM or 4EXT recovery and root again.

Sorry sir but I'm so newbie at this. I already made a backup of my apps and data. The question is, how am I gonna run an official RUU? Like use the CWM? Cause that's the only thing my phone can do right now, and sir, where can I find an official RUU for my phone? Please and thank you so much. RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed.exe
RUU_Pyramid_HTC - this is Your phone (sensation is pyramid)
Europe - europe means that Your phone is non-branded (if You have branded phone You should pick Your brand - Vodaphone, orange, etc)
1.50.401.1 - this is version of firmware - 401.1 is sensation and 401.101 is sensation xe
next numbers are radio version, etc,
just remember to install ruu with release word in the name (do not install test).
Ruu is an exe application for windows. Just download it, run it, plug your phone and do whatever it says.

And oh, btw. I upgraded my firmware to 3.32 and flashed darkforest ICS 6.1.0 and I think it worked but I'm gonna stick to the OTA ICS update. How am I going to do that? Downgrade my firmware to 1.17 and is it automatically unrooted? Then, flash original RUU then update OTA. Is this correct?

RUN RUU!
RUU is what You want to run.
After RUU you'll have a stock gingerbread. Then check for updates (in phone) and you'll have Your OTA.

Back To S- ON Problem

Guys i have s-off and rooted htc sensation for some reason i need to make it s-on back for warranty first of all i just followed the steps from big post at xda devoleper section when i was using custom ics rom made it back to gb so at the moment i am using gb 2.3.5 rom and i did super cid also just i need flash the corret ruu for my phone but i dont know which will do it i am living in turkey and in turkish forums people saying there is a ruu whit 1.45 .... code number and its works for turkish vodafone htc sensation devices but when i tried to install it it detects my phone but saying my image version 2.08.401.1 and ru version is 1.45...... and gives me error 155 guessing its because my version of ruu is newest from that stock ruu i got hboot 1.17 at the moment using 2.3.5 gb rom how can i find correct ruu for me is there an any slotion to fix my problem ??

error 155 is not because of RUU mismatch or anything
if you are SOFF and supercid then you can run any RUU
you should run the RUU..connecting the phone in fastboot (phone reads "fastboot usb" when connected ) not from normal boot
if you followed the above way for flashing the RUU..then you wont have any problems

i want to update my phone to a normal HTC STOCK ROM ICS
the problems i am facing
#1 - ANDROID 1.0 DRIVER I HAVE TRIED SO MANY SOLUTIONS ITS NOT COMING .. AND CANT USE FASTBOOT (I DONT KNW IF ITS REQUIRED FOR ME TO UPDATE OR NOT)
#2 RADIO OF MY PHONE AND RADIO ON THE OFFICAL RUU IN STOCK ROM LIST ARE DIFFERENT (RUU_Pyramid_H3G_UK_1.34.771.1_R_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_197065_signed.exe) SO I AM CONFUSED IF I FLASH THIS WOULD IT BRICK.. I DONT KNOW IF I HAVE SUPER CID OR NOT BECAUSE OF NO FASTBOOT USB ACCESS
#3 WOULD FLASHING THE OFFICAL STOCK WOULD MAKE MYPHONE CARRIER LOCKED AGAIN OR NOT
THERE ARE SO MANY GUIDES BUT CAN ANYONE CLEAR MY PROBLEMS/CONFUSION PLEASE !!!

i assume the only thing you have to do is upgrade first your fw version to 3.32 and then to3.33

i downloaded MANY FASTBOOT AND ADB FILES I AM CURRENTLY DOWNLOADING ADT BUNDLE FROM SDK...
I HAVE INSTALLED HTC SYNC BUT TO NO AVAIL..

ok ill try to find htc drivers then, i am about to ask an extreme noob question,
i am very confused if i have the sensation TMOUS or not (4g or not) is there a way to identify it

is t mobile your carrier? tmobile = tmous, or tmobile ,usa. as i understand it. also when you go to settings, go to about phone, look where it says model number. also when you purchased your device did they say it was a sensation 4g?either way in settings it will tell you what you have regarding your model. hope this post is helpful to you. best wishes!
