Hi,
I was looking around the themes & apps section and I found that the themes available are all definitive themes to flash through recovery.
Are there any themes that you can install and choose from personalize menu?
If not, why don't?
I would prefer to install as many themes as I want and change it from the corresponding menu when I want instead flashing and having compatibility problems...
Thank you all!
If you want to use phone's personalize menu then u need to install skins as APK file. Themes are completely different thing which you have to flash it via recovery because theme will change all your system UI which you can not change normally.

Yes, I know.
I just want to understand why nobody does this type of skins. HTC only has 8 of them, and here at XDA I can't find any.
It would be nice if themers use this functionality that HTC give us, like people do in Cyanogenmod.

There's a few in themes and apps, look for the ones that say skins in the title and the downloads that have .apk file type.

I'll test it on the doubleshot (myTouch 4G Slide)
Has the same guts as a sensation, different screen.
Some sensation stuff works on the doubleshot, I figure it can't hurt to try.

Updated op r u rooted?
.... e3Dvo ...
Root, CWM 4.0.0.9, and have already flashed various things.
I'll do a restore to my CWM backup I made which was done right after Root/busybox install.
I did a factory reset to my phone just prior to installing CWM and rooting the phone, so that CWM backup is as fresh as it gets after root.

I have tried flashing other things (specifically the RedVenom theme) from the evo3d onto my sensation, and it just borks things.
wow - looks promissing
I like black - it's elegant !
keep my fingers crossing for the project

I pulled the link from the Evo thread but this does work my Sensation. I'm running EagleBlood.
Updated with link let me know if it works please

Does not work with 3.0.3 with dual core add-on. Well let me elaborate, it does indeed give the main submenu for settings and ringtones a black overlay as pictured in first post but it breaks the advanced quick settings tab and makes apps like internet browser and astro file manager unable to load. I continuously get a pop-up stating defaults need to be reset.
I tried to get some screen shots for you but when I went to the root of my device to edit the build.prop to enable screenshots and noticed I no longer had one after flashing this mod LOL. I'll see what I can do later tonight to get you some screens.

Sorry what I ment was I am building my own rom from scratch. I want to have the Tell HTC feature removed from the rom so that users dont have to disable it when they install the rom on there phone!
Does anybody know how to do this?
Just remove it. The APK should be in /system /app
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
Thats what I thought, but I dont know the name of the apk Tried a couple but it is still there!
HtcFeedback is the app name, also myReportAgent and google feedback can be gotten rid of.
Also to disable OTA checks as it doesn't work on custom ROM remove the COTA client app and the lines in customize/CID/default.xml that respond to OTA

Just remove the apk, editing the xml is only if you don't want "Software Updates" coming up in settings. Also editing the xml will require a full wipe for any changes to be made so its easier just to remove the apk.
I can't seem to get the themes working on the rom, I download the theme and I click apply, then it says applied yet it goes back to the original theme.

Hello All,
I have been cooking a ROM for HTC Explorer and I would like to change the default HTC Dialer with a different dialer. I tried replacing the default dialer with other dialer but the end result was force close or some features not working. It would be great if some one can provide me the specific information about the same. Any input for this is greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone in advance. Hope someone can definitely help me out. Cheers!! Sorry if the post is not in the correct place.
Try looking around here for a custom rom that suits your needs

Well there are only two custom roms for the HTC Explorer now and they all have the same custom dialer. Heard XML files are need to be edited (since it is not possible to remove the default dialer a theme for it is a good option ) even to theme the Dialer. If you have any information about that, please share. Thanks.
Can anyone share their home launcher I wish to port htc home on my device

actually, jhonny1525 posted this, first of all, to avoid the hastle and time invloved in downloading a rom..
if u have fast enough internet or some spare time, then u can do it for him
If that's the case, I have both of this things, so jhonny1525, say what, from which rom do you need, basically by my thoughts this are 'roise.apk' (or something similar) and I believe you need the 'frameworkres.apk'. So OP, just tell from which rom you wan't it.
But to port sense 4 from explorer is bad idea, better get those files from desire c or sensation, cos explorer's sense 4 is port from desire c altogether, if you wan't sense 3.5 that's something different.
Plz some one upload
Thanks in advance......

Check my previous comment and share some details. Which sense version, which rom, which files exactly.
I think need Rosie ,skin picker , htclockscreen.apk framework.........
I exactly don't know which files are related to home launcher I at least need this things if I missed some thing plz add it
(Everything stock or stock based
Sense 3.5 and deodexed)
Thanks in advance...........

Ok, that's the spirit, now look it is sense(which I don't like) and have no idea which particular files are needed for port, so if you need something else in the progress, do tell.
I think this is as close as it gets to stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189199
So here are files, https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5uKAxW9j6ezR04wSWx1ZFRWU00&usp=sharing and there are 2 folders, one is /system /app, if you need something more from there, another one is /framework folder. So good luck and have fun.
