Ok,so im in desperation mode here with my Bricked TF101.. i did post a similar problem on here a while ago and thought i had got it fixed, but as it turns out i don't and am in need of as Much help as anyone can give me please.. :/
..
ok so here it goes..
My TF is bricked, and iv'e tried just about everything (NVflash) and STILL can't get my TF to boot normally without Cold booting every-single-time .. its tiring and stressful .. My PC wont even recognize it when i plug it in via USB to try the NVflash method (i have a B40).. it freezes at the "asus" logo..
HOWEVER,i CAN cold boot like i said but Holding the Volume+ button along with the Power button doesn't work on my TF,no sound,no notihng.. Also, when i use "power+volume down" method, pressing Valume up wont work,i have to let it go to cold boot options..
ANY help is much appreciated and i still love my asus tranny enough to give it another shot.. thanks alot -
Asus logo? If you're doing a recovery through NVFlash then you shouldn't be seeing the Asus logo. When you enter APX mode, the screen should be off the whole time (to the best of recollection). The only way that you can really tell that it's on is when you plug it in and go to Device Manager and see it under USB Controllers.

Do not know whether your tab is rooted or not. If rooted, you can try reboot by software. For example, you can try:
1. ROM ToolBox or
2. Tasker's Mis/Reboot action or
3. run terminal emulator and do the following:
su
echo boot | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=1 seek=0
exit
reboot
It sound to me that it is better to see if you can nvflash it with stock rom and then return it to asus for repair......
when your tablet boots, what version is it on? is it root? does cmw still work?
try install recovery installer of gnufabio as app in your tablet
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346180
if your tablet boots, can you connect it to your pc, disable asys sync and splashtop and see if you can connect with "adb devices" see if it reacts.
Did you install APX driver? When in APX mode to use nvflash the screen on the TF will be black and nothing else.
VOL UP + Power put you in APX mode.
even going through all the instructions of NVflash i still didnt even get a beep on my TF or my PC didnt even recognize it.. the asus logo appears and freezes if i just try turning it on..

How do i go about installing the APX driver?.. do i install it into my TF or my pc?,cuz i have already the NVflash files on my laptop,is it included?.
..i have tried Running it according to the NVflash instructions and nothing happens,no APX driver found in my Device controllers settings..
look in the development section for Brk root toolkit v7.1, download and installed it on your pc.
in this app there is an option to install the usb APX drivers.....
if this application works, it hopefully is also able to place cwm on your system, just try it....
hope this is helpfull.....

The only problem is that I'm still on a beta rom from when ICS just came out. I'm on revolver it looks like. My Clockworkmod is also broken because I had a manual install, created by Roach I believe, and I then installed the one from the clockworkmod app before reading on xda not to. The tablet does not pick up that it is plugged into my computer, but it works with a wall charger. My current version of clockworkmod also won't let me update roms for some odd reason....
What would be the best way to get to a rom that will allow me to use my tablet with my computer so that I can run nvflash and restore the device to factory settings?
Thanks.

You just need to put your tablet into apx mode to flash to stock.
To do that power off the tablet
Plug the usb cable in
press and hold the power and vol up keys for about 5 seconds.
If you are on windows you should hear a notification sound.
There are a few tools you can use, like the poster above suggested
Easy Flash:

-or-
Brk's root toolkit.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688447
They both essentially do the same thing but i prefer the brks toolkit for the layout.

The brks toolkit will probably more suit you, but I do have to agree, follow the above and install the latest ICS rom direct from asus, and you should be good as gold.
Did I mention that CWM auto boots up? The only way to get to android is to press power + vol up at boot up, let it load past cwm and then cold boot linux.
So I think whenever I try to get apx mode or whatever, it's trying to get into android, but it can't.
Can anyone help me? Sorry...
Okay so you're running linux with dual boot? Which method did you use to install it? Franks tools/Olife or the pseudo dual boot method.
Most threads like that will have info on going back to stock.
try power button and vol down.
otherwise when in recovery just try holding down power and vol up for a while 30 seconds plus (while plugged into a pc)
See if it will kick you into apx mode.

No, I didn't. I have to do "cold boot linux" which brings me into android.
I try to run adb and it cannot find the device, so I cannot do anything. I can boot into android, but I cannot wipe or change roms due to this cwm being broken.
Which method did you use to install it? Can you be more specific about what exactly is on your tablet right now?
Is your USB cable good? Can you sync from within a computer?
Did you install the apx drivers from windows?
I have yet to see a device that does not enter apx mode. When mine was looping in CWM only, this is the method I used to fix it. Unless your USB cable is damaged or you don't have the drivers installed... I "unbricked" 4 devices using apx without any issues.
As fauxsoul said, please provide install method and step by step of what you're doing.
I hope I can save it but after 4 hours of trying and reading I can't seem to do it.
I was running an unlocked tf300 with cleanrom. I wanted to update to the newest version of cleanrom and have my tablet on that and ready for school for next term. I downloaded cleanrom on laptop and put it on my micro sd. Went and grabbed the tablet and tried using rom manager to install from sd and backup the os that was on it. Didn't work. So booted into the fastboot spot (vol down and power) and decided i should wipe data since i was there. Went over to that and pushed vol up (once). Let it sit for like 45 minutes and was still on the same screen. Thought to myself well it must be done. Shut off the tablet to restart it.
This is where the problem came up. Now i'm stuck on asus logo. The VD+P doesn't do anything but reboot into the asus logo. The VU+P will put it into a black screen and windows sees it as Asus transformer Prime APX interface. But adb can't see the device. Just device manager. typing fastboot -i 0x0b05 thing just says <waiting for device>
Every post i've read seems to tell people to just push VD+P but if i could do that and get to recovery i wouldn't be doing this. I can't put a blob file into the root sd of the tablet because I can't see the tablet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe this link can help.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2034866
Device manager already sees it as transformer prime apx thing though. So i assume by getting it into APX mode doing the VU+P method it is in apx? or is that not mean it's actually in apx?

Apx mode is not going to do you any good. The previous link also provides info on blootloader " recovery " mode.
Try the universal naked drivers from this link and try fastboot again.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766220
If that does not work leave off ' -i 0x0b05 ' in fastboot -i 0x0b05 command and try again.

Already installed the naked drivers and that's when the computer recognized it in the device manager portion as the asus prime apx interface thing. It still just says <waiting for device> in everything i try on fastboot.

I know you previously said you couldn't get into recovery-bootloader menu but that is what we have to accomplish. Apx mode on this unit is only good if you previously installed nvflash and had all of the proper backup files.
The first link I provided provides 9 ways to get into bootloader menu and from there either fastboot mode (usb symbol) or recovery (RCK). I know some may not work but we only need one.

apx or bootloader menu-recovery.
To use this guide to enter the bootloader menu just use volume down everywhere it says volume up. Everything else is the same.
4. with unit powered on hold volume down and press reset with paperclip - (don't press hard) reset is located about 25mm or 1in below the sdcard
try this one.

Force power off by holding power a few seconds.
Plug power cord into tab with the other end of the power cord not plugged into anything. Hold volume down and plug other end of power cord into pc. This done without pressing power again after it is powered off. Easier to do than describe.

The Problem lies in holding the volume down button. No matter how i turn it on. either plugging it in while holding power down, reset button, letting it die and then plugging it in and turning it on....it just goes into the asus logo screen .

I'm sorry, I did understand that from the beginning but the only things that can save you is get into that menu or recovery or your tab accepts a fastboot or adb command. That is the reason you keep getting pushed into that direction.
My best guesses are out. Sometimes redoing something you have already done twice works.
My experience and all I have read rom manager has issues on this tab. Also many who wiped data from the bootloader- recovery menu reach this same point when they reboot.
Some have recovered by just doing each thing again and again and suddenly something works.
Yeah i fear i'm just going to have to call ASUS . sad panda. i keep trying different methods of doing the VD+P method but it just won't get into recovery.

I'm sorry but I am afraid you are correct. If unable to use adb, fastboot, or get into recovery there aren't any other options. Sorry if I pushed more than I should but I wanted to see a more positive result than calling Asus.
Good Luck!

If you explain you were having issues with your tab and used wipe data hoping to correct the problem. Now when you turn on it just stays on the asus logo maybe they will repair it without cost.
If you go into detail you probably won't get lucky.

You can find the ADB drivers and how to install them here
http://www.topnotchtablets.com/installADBdriver
To boot into recovery mode from an adb shell prompt, enter
"echo -e 'boot-recovery\0' > /dev/block/nandf; sync"(note: that's a "backslash zero" in the line above)
Now, press and hold Power until the tablet turns off, then turn it back on normally
And to flash with livesuit
1. Download Livesuit v1.07
2. Turn off the tablet and load the image into Livesuit
3. Hold the volume - and THEN plug the tablet into your computer
Don't let go of - until something pops up int Livesuit
Hope this helps you with your problem!

Or if there is cwm already on the tablet you can boot into recovery

Yes i have already CWM. I have read about that but do i need download SDK or its possible without that ?
Yes ADB comes with SDK so downloading that would probably be the best.
Then just install the drivers and try the shell (refer to my first reply)
Ok i'll try. Just have very slow internet it's takes time to download sdk about 12 hours...

WHats up guys? My tf300 is still bricked after like 6 months. It started with me flashing the wrong recovery image then a wipe data finished it off. I can get into apx mode and device manager sees it as an apx device with a yellow triangle, or as several different names according to which driver i use. I have tried all the asus ones, the adb, the composite adb, all the ones from the naked driver set. No matter which ones i use fastboot devices returns nothing and adb devices says "list of devices attatched but nothing. Is there something wrong with the way im using fastboot? I just go to the fastboot folder and open a cmd window and it starts like C:\user\fastboot or whatever and im stuck there please help

Questions: what rom did you have before? Did you wipe data from the Asus menu, and not from inside a custom recovery? When you now try to get into fastboot by holding volume down + power, what happens? No matter what, try Buster99's solution. If the only mode you can get into is APX, and you didn't generate NVflash files, then I'm afraid your motherboard is stuck, the only solution to which is replacing it.

Must've been the wrong recovery that screwed up your tab. In my experience, wiping data from the Asus menu while you're on stock rom is not supposed to brick it as described by you. Try this method. It has saved quite a few semi-dead tabs. Good luck, and give thanks to the author if it helps.

im sure it was the wrong recovery i dont know why i did it. i had another ics tablet and for some reasone i put both recovery images in the same folder the link u provided is one that i had previously read. I cant even get fastboot to "see" the tablet.
I was tired of CM 10, and wanted to be able to use the trackpad on my tf101. I wiped and flashed my tablet back to stock rom. I went to boot it up and it shows the eee pad logo then it goes to this asus logo screen with the loading symbol below the logo. It's been like this for the past 2 hours. i tried rebooting it, but it just goes to the same screen and stays there. When I try to boot in recovery (or twrp) to restore back to CM10, and i get a laying down android robot with its "stomach" open and a triangle with a exclamation point thats red. After a while it goes back to the never ending asus logo with the loading symbol sign.

If you are sure your B7O is SBK1 you can use NVFLASH ROMs to get back to stock

I would advise installing a KatKiss ROM after flashing TWRP - trackpad works fine and the ROMs are great

I have a problem - none of it's working. Do you have to install the drivers manually? I'm on Windows 7 if that helps. and then I run download.bat as admin and the cmd pops up for a second then closes. my tf101 is still here bricked. I was in APX mode too.
Yea, go to device manager and look for the ! entry for the missing driver, then right click that and tell it to update the driver > go through the wizard to manually choose the driver from your PC and point it to the drivers folder in the NVFLASH folder
If you have problems with those drivers, try these ones
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514942
You might have to manually end task in task manager for "adb.exe" before trying again

I've used it before so I know it works. If you know how to fix it thats great, but if not it's fine. I just bought the keyboard for the keyboard lol.
If you have the on-screen keyboard installed set to anything but ASUS keyboard / Language set incorrectly for Physical dock keyboard, I think that breaks some keys on the dock, and it's possible that the trackpad button you're pressing is not doing anything - try some other keys like screenshot and wifi etc to see if the dock is working properly
Im not 100% sure - but check in settings for a touchscreen method of enabling the trackpad

I know there is a setting in the ASUS ROM to change from "Gesture" to "Trackpad" mode, gestures only has a white circle when you touch the pad, trackpad has a mouse pointer iirc
If it's not showing any and you're on the stock ROM Im not sure
Check for updates in Settings > About Tablet > Updates
See if there is an update for the dock if you've just bought it
Other than that, you could try different ROMs to see if it's a ROM fault or if the dock has become faulty, just make sure to flash TWRP recovery if you go for Jellybean / KitKat ROMs, - CWM recovery bricks tablets pretty often
