Sim Card Error...Dropped Phone - HTC Sensation

Hi guys,
Been on CDs for a while as a guest running ARHD Rom on my sensation.
Got a bit of a problem, when I got in from work today, my sensation fell from my sofa on the laminate flooring. The phone seemed to work until rebooted it. The sensation is displaying "insert sim card to phone".
I have rebooted it a few times, factory reset, sim card in and out and even a small bit of paper on top the sim to ensure contact and its still not working.
I am starting to think its hardware related which means sending it bk to HTC.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
P.s. I gave taken the ad whilst trying the above. I have not reflashed the Rom yet as I would not think its software related.
Many thanks
Wad

You tried other sim cards?

Moto G no sim card error

I'm getting no sim card - emergency calls only error on newest KitKat build. I've got latest GB software 176.44.1.falcon_umts.Retail.en.GB updated over rooted rom with CWM 6.0.4.7. Anybody else having this problems?

Have you tried reseating your SIM card? ive gotten that when using a sim adapter that didnt fit well and was not pressing the sim against the contacts properly.
I've got new sim card before this update because at first I thought my sim card was faulty, I don't use any adapter. Here is the screenshot but it doesn't show any worthy info.

If your MOTO G is of IMEI number starting with 3533 then flipkart will replace it or Those with other IMEI numbers (notably 3550*) have connection dropping problems which are solved by airplane mode on-off and reinsertion of SIM etc.

Sim Tray Replacement

Has anyone done this? I recently purchased a replacement module on eBay and there's a few things that are different mainly some contact tabs and some sort or speaker looking thing.

If anyone can tell me if this will work fine besides the differences, I'd really appreciate it.

Nobody has replaced the sim tray in here? I thought this was a common failure in these phones?

You are the first one I can recall... Have you tried any of the Youtube videos, they are usually quite helpful. Found this one in a couple seconds of Googling https://youtu.be/ayB1v79n4Iw

Sorry... I didn't watch the whole thing, thought it might help. I do know there are single and dual SIM variations of the G3, perhaps you got the wrong one?

SIM card tray destroyed

Hello everyone
Few weeks ago I destroyed by error the SIM card tray and now all the pins inside are broken or bent.
I'm not using this phone anymore but it served me for many years and it has been a great companion so it deserves to be repaired
I haven't opened the phine yet so I can't say how bad is the damage but I was thinking I might have to replace the whole motherboard but if this means that I will lose my data, I would prefer to replace just the SIM card module
Does anyone have any recommendations for proceeding in this direction?
The Lumia is a 64GB model operator and country unlock.
Thanks!

Sure, there are plenty of places where I can find that piece
I was hoping in some other type of advice, possibly from someone who has already done it...

Pixel 3a XL Requires SIM Card Removed/Reinserted to Power On

My wife has a Pixel 3a XL, and in the last 2 weeks it has just shut down unexpectedly, refusing to power back on. The battery is charged, and connecting it to any charger makes no difference.
The only thing that has fixed it all 3 times is by removing the SIM card and reinserting it. Then magically, pressing the power button, the phone boots up like there was never an issue.
The 2nd time this happened, which was just two days ago, I tried powering it back on with the SIM card removed, yet it would still not power on. But as soon as I put the SIM back into the phone, pressed the power button, it powered back on. I'm thinking the issue is maybe with the SIM, but then after this test, shouldn't the phone have powered on with the SIM card removed?
This is very confusing to me. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
