[Q] how to unroot galaxy s2 skyrocket - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I used supperoneclick to root my phone and I tried unrooting from there but it does not remove clockwork recovery. I'm trying to restore to factory and i'm running the factory rom someone please help.

Flash a stock tar in Odin or if your unrooted with cwm still on your device just track down a stock recovery tar and flash that with Odin.
EDIT: your also posting in the wrong section holmes

[Q] Can anyone help me?

is there any roms that you can flash threw odin but not a stock rom?
if anyone can make one a tar file for me i would buy you a beer (lol)
i know i can flash it but i want to be safe and do it threw odin
IMO wouldn't flashing it through CWM be safer then ODIN? I know if you are restoring with ODIN and your phone gets unplugged or something happens with your computer you could possibly brick your phone. Just my two cents...but to answer your question I've never seen a ROM in TAR format. Good luck though
+1
The only odin roms I've seen here are stock leaks, some with root and cwm. Flashing through cwm is way safer; get cwm running and make a nandroid backup (backup and restore option in cwm) then flash the rom of your choice. If you screw it up, boot back to cwm recovery and restore your backup. If you screw up in Odin you softbrick. (Hint: there is a reason there are no odin flashable customs roms...)

Flashing any rom or using odin is not safe....that's why the warning is there....flashing in general can be harmful....but if directions are followed and with some research not just in the mighty XDA forums....like YouTube you won't have problems...but hey if you do just ask via here....so much knowledge around you will get help kk

[Q] Galaxy Ace Died after installing CWM with odin [please help]

Hi,
Please help me.
I tried to install CWM in my galaxy ace using "Odin".
I followed correct steps and odin showed "pass" at last.
but now my phone is not booting.
It will load upto "GALAXY Ace GT-S5830....." scree and nothing is happening after that.
I am not able to boot into recovery also now.
How I can recover my phone back?
Please help me.
Flash everything back to stock with Odin. You should make sure repartition is checked before flashing. When you try to flash cwm through Odin, redownload the files and try again.

Thanks for replying, but sorry to ask you one more doubt (may be too n00b qn.)
what do you mean by "flash everything"?
where I can get all those files for Ace?
Sorry took soo long to reply, was at work. Can you post a link to the method you used to flash cwm? Just want to make sure I point you to the correct firmware.
I have used the method at
acetips.wordpress.com/2011/10/01/install-cwm-ace-froyo
As it didn't worked, I used some other "ops" file, which brick my phone.
Can I use any samsung upgrade method ( as I have done earlier in my sonyericsson w8 using SEUS) ?
Or how can I fully flash and make it alive?
Try this...!
Hey no phone dies so easily, so, follow the process mentioned in the given link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
You know how to use odin get you ops file and further download the stock rom on
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
thanks friends.
But now I am not able to get into the recovery mode. will it get fixed after flashing the latest firmware?
What is the really working method to get CWM recovery for ACE?
It should work again if u flashed the stock because the stock recovery is included in the stock rom =)
please help me.
my phone is still not turning on, even after flashing stock firmware using odin.
How can i get it back?
my ace is now alive
Thank god!!! at last, my phone is alive.
Now dear friends, do u know any guaranteed to work -cwm flashing methods for ace?

Before you flash CWM Recovery, you need to ROOT ur phone, download upd_1.zip file from the link that I provided in the previous post and flash it from Stock recovery.

I agree. Though not totally necessary, it does help. Also enable adb.

[Q] How to uninstall clockworkmod recovery?

I have a galaxy tab 2 7.0 [GT-P3113]
I just flashed cwm recovery on it and rooted it, I've just wanted to try and uninstall clockworkmod and go back to stock recovery, I searched everywhere but I couldn't find anything for my tab model.
I'm running android 4.0.4, didn't flash any ROMs yet.

Thanks, I have some questions because I coudln't post a reply to that post.
-I live in egypt and I bought my tab from the US, this rom is for the US so should I flash it normally? (will I get the OTA updates)?
-should I backup my data and so? (sorry it's my first device)
You should get ota's as its 100% stock. As far as flashing it no need to backup anything. You won't have root or cwr to use your backup. Flash via Odin and you should be good to go.

*I done that for my Galaxy Ace, I believe should be the same.
reverting back to Stock from CWM all you need is Odin and stock firmware which able to obtain from sammobile.
flash is with stock ROM via Odin will bring everything back to stock. *after flash, make sure swipe your data & cache OTHERWISE it will stuck and become boot-loop.

I did flash the stock ROM and recovery via odin, and it worked perfectly, thanks for the info thought because once I forgot to wipe data and it was stuck on boot-loop till I reached recovery mode.
I meant isn't there a normal way to go back to android recovery without flashing new ROM?
Can't really have stock recovery AND root... seeing as you install root via CWM
Besides you can do way more with CWM over stock.

getting back to original recovery from twrp recovery
i have karbonn smart tab 10 (cosmic) .i have installed twrp recovery on my tab. but i cant find any zip files when i go into recovery and twrp is not working properly.i cant even root my tab. i want to go back to original recovery.please help.
Do you have a P5100 , P5110 or P5113 ? It don´t sounds like!
If not - don´t use this files! This might brick your device!
If you don´t have a P51XX you need to find a Stock-Recovery or Custom-Recovery for your Device.
If you have P51XX download and flash a StockRom - or extract the recover.img inside the XXX_HOME.tar.md5 and make it Odin-Flashable using this tool and flash it with Odin.

Noob question

Greetings all,
I have a Verizon S3 and after reading the posts here I felt froggy so I took the leap to root. I downloaded Odin and used this as the ROM
(stripped.rooted.system.img.tar.md5.zip, md5sum: 4d664b60b1ad5952a332bd1d78aa228b). The phone rebooted and is running as normal.
My question is in regard to the next step. I have EZ-Recovery, Recovery Manager, and CWR Manager (v5.0.2.0) installed as apps. I do not have an external SD card yet (tomorrow). What do I need to do to backup? I ran the CWR, flashed the CWM Recovery and backed up the current ROM.
Am I good to do the Synergy ROM the same way? I'm ok with a full wipe of the phone. Do I need to unlock the bootloader? Have I escaped the brick risk?
Thanks in advance for the answers!
wrong forum。。 this is the international gs3.forum. flashing anything here will brick your phone

[Q] Help please!!!

So i was trying to root my verizon galaxy s3 on jelly bean and i got to the stop where im in clockworkmod and im supposed to flash the SuperSu and the problem is that for that specific clockworkmod there was no install zip from sd card. the one i downloaded was ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6.0.2.3 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439 SO my question is how can delete my current clockworkmod. thanks replies are MUCH appreciated.
That CMW has that option... You need to double check But if you want to switch recovery just flash something else overtop.
I haven't used that specific recovery in a while (on a different device) but isn't there an install button? Press it and does it bring up an option on where to install from? Should say install from internal or install from sd?
