Dude, if you're not familiar with doing that stuff, rather don't do anything..
My friendly advice to you..
Rather wait for official ICS....it's same as the custom one..
Cheers

It can void it with HTC but not with your carrier if you bought the phone from your carrier you should be ok I sent three bricked lg phones to TMobile all replaced for free no charge but he is right if you are unsure just wait for the official though I disagree they are not the same as custom roms the ones here are much better plus you have options aosp, aokp, sense 3.6 and 4.0 plus other things but up to you I wouldn't have my phone Abby other way I think it's worth it but if you are not sure just wait til you are sure

Take your friends phone either to a service center or send it directly back to HTC for repair, only thing that can be done

If you are rooted just flash an ICS rom, there are plenty out there for the Sensation. Most stable I've used is the Darkforest one, didn't require any fiddling, just flashed and worked without a problem. If you need to have your phone repaired then you can always return it back to it's original kernel/radio/rom, I remember seeing a thread on here somewhere for it.
I rooted my phone from revolutaniry site .... Please help me more

You have 2 options:
1. Flash custom ics rom as per above suggestion. Read and use sticky thread in development forum.
2. Restore phone to official rom via RUU, then wait for the official ota update
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559
In my opinion 1 is the only sensible choice. More features, earlier releases, better support via xda and from specific forums.
Totally agree, custom roms add many more features and are updated every few weeks where needed. Can't say the same for HTC
R u mean that when I root my phone the offical ROM will be changed
..... Sport but I don't understand u
May be I am not experience licked you ...

No you can root and leave official rom unchanged.
All the custom roms are pre-rooted.
At times I really get angry. I've been waiting for ICS for my phone for really long time now
I just wanna make sure if some in Kuwait got the ICS update on their HTC sensation. I was thinking of doing factory default and check if there was any ICS update available but then I thought what if there was no ICS update available ? I would have to install all the apps again and do that rooting **** again so .... I didn't do it
Plz let me know if any frm Kuwait got the ICS update
Thank you

From last October xe is in my hand. Am not getting the iCS OTA update, can I get some stock update which doesn't void ma warranty. Am having s-on boot 1.18. Please suggest me a suitable Rom for iCS with sence..
As far as I understand changing the phone with a rom WILL void your warranty HOWEVER you CAN put the device back to stock if there is a warranty issue and bringing it back to stock then your warranty would be fine and back as long as the device is returned to stock.
So its kind of a price of mind to know
If you want a custom rom you can root your device using revolutionary according to your h boot that should work. S off your device then you can install your rom. Xda has guides on a step by step process to walk you through the entire process. Just use the search you will find it. I hope this helps you out. Best of luck.

Am new to android device, and with very less basics about it.
What's the s-on & s- off, am still having confusion about it

If you don't want to root check your update area on your device it should be displayed in there. If its not arrived yet you will have to wait until your provider sends it out. Otherwise root soff and you can run any ics or 4.0.3 from you like. There are many different roms to choose from depending on your taste. As for stability custom roms are FAR more stable than stock rom so don't worry about that!

S off is security off. You can flash easier and have more ability with soff also. Your lucky your boot version is pretty straight forward. Check out the guides. Follow step by step you will be good. Revolutionary will s off for you then you root your device after. Read through the guide a couple of times. What I did was write the steps down so I didn't forget one and follow exactly.

So before flashing the Rom I must make my device to soff right. I found many Rom's with different utilities, will you suggest some of the best with stock features with iCS
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using XDA
for h-boot 1.18, you will need to use TacoRoot through adb to get a temporary root before using revolutionary.
Check this
Is it possible to change hboot??

Yes once your soff its real easy to do and the advantages you have after rooting you phone are endless, in my own personal opinion i think android revolution is the plase to start for stock rom with all the crap removed that we dont use.
