If you are rooted just flash an ICS rom, there are plenty out there for the Sensation. Most stable I've used is the Darkforest one, didn't require any fiddling, just flashed and worked without a problem. If you need to have your phone repaired then you can always return it back to it's original kernel/radio/rom, I remember seeing a thread on here somewhere for it.

I rooted my phone from revolutaniry site .... Please help me more

You have 2 options:
1. Flash custom ics rom as per above suggestion. Read and use sticky thread in development forum.
2. Restore phone to official rom via RUU, then wait for the official ota update
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559
In my opinion 1 is the only sensible choice. More features, earlier releases, better support via xda and from specific forums.

Totally agree, custom roms add many more features and are updated every few weeks where needed. Can't say the same for HTC

R u mean that when I root my phone the offical ROM will be changed
..... Sport but I don't understand u
May be I am not experience licked you ...

No you can root and leave official rom unchanged.
All the custom roms are pre-rooted.

[Q] Backing up stock Rom (TMOBILE UK)

Right, got my replacement Sensation with Tmobile UK branded rom on.
Having found that there are no stock Tmobile roms about, I would rather back everything up before I root this time.
How do I do this?
Once done, I'm happy to share with everyone else so no one else has to go through the same prob in the future.
If there is a kind dev out there who can help me package everything up properly all the better!!
Thanks

Thanks for the interest but I want to create a virgin backup that can be used to get back to full stock, not to S-Off

Yes, that is why I want to create one as that thread has no Tmobile UK Roms
So is this not possible? I'm sure there used to be ways of dumping off images of yr phone. May have been back on the Kaiser though.
Is there a reason why we have have so manly stock ruus but no Tmobile UK?

Anyone? Surely a Tmobile UK stock ROM would be useful to the community?

CID - Carrier IDentification, it's restricts which software can be installed on a phone. SuperCID is a universal CID where the phone will accept any kind of firmware image from anyone.
SuperCID is necessary only for flashing RUU's from different regions. You don't need a SuperCID to flash a custom ROM's
I have an unlocked sensation Z710e...Do i need to install super CID to run an ICS rom ???
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
I would say it is recommended. I've read other people having trouble flashing the firmware update when they don't have it

With the latest leaked ics ruu that's made into a custom Rom yes you would need super cid in order to flash the firmware for the custom rom to boot properly and run.

Wow. If you want to be an ass, go to MoDaCo. It was a simple question. Could have been answered with more respect. After all, he did put it in the Q & A section in the forum...

I dont think so, the performance of Sense 3.5 isnt very good, so its normal that its slower than Sense 3.0

I was not trying to be an ass. So if i hurt your feelings i am sorry. Your question though could easily be answered just by simply searching the forums. It would have benefited you because you would have learnt yourself and its less clutter on the forum.
Take this post for example. He wants answers to a problem that has a whole guide telling him how to do it. He just hasn't bothered to search.
Again sorry for coming across as an ass.
Just as an extra bit of info for you. I am currently supercid and running the new firmware. The touchscreen recovery looks really good and Mikes ARHD 6.0.0 is running really smooth on my phone. No lags or fcs to date.

A stupid question but then again, i am a stupid person

I have seen this already on this forum but im too stupid to find it so here goes:
I would like to flash a custom rom now but then in a week/two weeks when htc rolls the official update to ics, id like to have the official htc update, how do i do that?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA Premium App
Just flash the official update when it comes out, it will fully wipe the phone and bring it up to date with all the latest HTC bells&whistles.

Just don't root stay on stock. Easy answer.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
Or I suppose you could flash a custom ROM now, and then, when HTC releases the official ICS ROM, restore your nandroid backup of the original HTC Rom, restore the apps using Titanium Backup, and then update using the official HTC update (which will be OTA I guess?).
That would work right?

Have you installed any custom roms on your phone? Is it as you got from the shop?
I rooted it a few weeks ago, but i resetted it last week completely to go the update work... But i have still the Same issue... So its nearly like you get it in a Shop.

Does nobody have a solution ?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
You will have to install an original HTC RUU before getting the official update. Otherwise you can use any custom ROM instead.
Yeah, just try a custom like ARHD. I think it run smoother, perhaps ur problems dissapear.
Get an original recovery first !!!
You should get an original recovery "Stock Recovery" before you do that . . .
try to do that by installing the RUU rom for your phone and your carrier ok
So after installing a costum ROM it should work? Okay ill give it a shot and answer if it works or not. Thanks anyway for your help!

Who is your service provider? You could maybe double check it with them if they released the ICS update at all. (they should have though... ) You could maybe reboot your device I give it a try again? Somebody more clever might help you out...

built in updater is the same I told you.

And one more thing! You could also have a look in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425 It is about RUU (Rom Update Utility). By using these you can update your device but you need to choose the right RUU for your device. Use this if you cannot get anywhere with your provider...

The answer is written in the thread I gave you and set up by kgs1992. Read all that stuff just to make sure you are familiar with that you are going to do. :good:
Just be sure you're connected to wifi and check for updates, it will prompt you to install the latest software available for your phone and region
Yes. When you tap on the check now button, a window will appear where it tells you what you are going to download. And It's better to be connected to WiFi as it will download a bigger amount of update.
