Cm9 mms issue - Samsung Infuse 4G

As my title says my mms isn't working... I tried the apn fix by copying and pasting dmans file into system/etc then rebooting phone and resetting to default but it still isn't sending... I talked to rogers and made sure I had all proper apn settings and I do but they still aren't going through only data connection for internet works... any ideas as far as what to try?
Sent from my Infuse 4g running cm9

I was having an issue with it also. What someone told and that works for me was to go into "Dev Tools" under APPS, go into "Connectivity," and select "Start MMS." There won't be able identifier that it is working. This does work for me, but I usually have to press it a few times a day to get it to download a picture sent to me. Try it out!
(p.s. Im on JT's BUILD2)

Thanks I'll try it
Edit: tried it and as soon as I tried sending it said android mms process failed... I'm running entropys build of 04/23

Do you have any mods running? Works fine for me. You can try rebooting before you start mms.

No its totally stock cm9 right now... I've rebooted several times and installed the apns config from dman without luck

I will say that after I upgraded to the 4/23 build, my mms worked for like 5 minutes. After that I had to start it each time in the dev tools menu. I'm trying to find online anything that relates to mms just not starting. For some people, it's an issue with the apn settings, but for me and some others it's a problem with mms not starting.

I'm using that Exact APN in the link you posted, and tried that start mms trick, I can download images fine, but I can't send them.

Are you sure they're exactly the same. I couldn't send or receive then I tried this from the miui 2.2.24 thread and these apn setting worked I am running aokp milestone 5 maybe something differs from entropy's build

Yup, I've double checked them (I tried both setting tweeks to no avail at it sending MMS) a few good times and made sure I saved em.
I can send MMS fine when I have it plugged into my computer and Debugging mode is activated though.

Ok this one booted. Kinda similar to the 1.8 that booted. Screen flickers and is laggy, especially on home screen but i found if you switch wallpapers it helped both. Still no cell, wifi or gps but also in about phone its not showing a modem. So..... maybe the issue. No camera. Same issue with sd card, sees it but cant see pics or etc. Hardware keys are mapped right for the most part, camera button does nothing. Soft keys work buthome is menu, menu is nothing and search is screen lock.
@ ||acer||, not able to take screenies with phone, will try tomorrow or this weekend when i will be on my laptop.
Also would be great to get someone else to try this and the other booting one just to verify what i am seeing. Great job guys! Getting closer

Your build I got the black screen after Samsung logo.
Deano's build I got stuck on Samsung logo.
Did anybody happen to try to do what atoore said in the old MIUI thread?
atoore said:
Like I said in my previous posts, the gralloc libs might be causing the flicker issue. Afaik it doesn't matter how many garroloc.*.so you got inside the lib/hw folder as long it points to YOUR device's correct platform name inside the build.prop. For examples
gralloc.s5pc110.so is for the galaxy s 4g
gralloc.leo.so is for the HTC hd2
gralloc.goldfish.so is not for your device afaik.
You will need to find your device platform name and edit the build.prop with the correct name.
You guys mentioned that cm7 doesn't have the flickers right? Well I suggest that you use the gralloc.****.so from the working cm7 build and see what happeneds.

Data Receiving - Works
GPS- Works
Root Permission - Works
Camera w/Flash - Works
Video - Works
Panoramic Shot - works
Torch- not working
Clock - works
Alarms - works
Stopwatch- works
Signals Bars still not working
I appear to be getting only 1x data and not 3g. I have experienced this problem on the fascinate build also.
Downloading apps from the market seemed to be a problem when on the data network. When I go to download an app, a warning pops up saying the file is too big, i select "start downloading" but it has already canceled the download. This is also an issue on the fascinate build also. I still dont know how to disable the warning.
In the status bar, it says "Roaming Indicator Off" where it should say US Cellular.
Also, when under about phone<status, it says network unknown. This is not a huge problem but just something to fix maybe.
I have experience some miui.home force closes. I get shot back into the app that i was in. Then i rehit the home button and miui.home launches.. it kinda weird but has only happened twice since last night.
As far as that, everything appears to be working fine/ same as the fascinate build.
thank you ..the wait is finally over. one step away from a perfect rom. reserved

What was found in CM9 thread is you need to flash the leak modem, and then the ROM/system again, then it retains the APN. I tried it on CM9 and is working great doing Waffle modem => flash CM9.

I've had t for less than a day but I do get the LTE signal in my house now when I used to have to drive a few streets away to get it. Speedtest results are the same as LD2 with LTE which were very good for me. Call clarity is better from what people I call are telling me. Others may have more to report as they use it more.

Flash modem, then flash ROM
Tried to flash it on NexusMod Zero ICS (UCLD2):
Wiped cache 3x
Wiped Dalvik 3x
Flashed radio 3x
Reboot, no signal, "Unknown" baseband, *#2263# pops me into a blank ServiceMode with no options.
Bummer! Ran Fix Permissions in ROM Manager, rebooted and still nothing.
Back to UCLD2 for me. Would rather wait for a full UCLE2 ROM than flash this radio before re-flashing my current ROM.

Issues with Voice Mail on new AOKP JB Rom

Has anyone had problems with the new AOKP JB release (19th) version when using AT&T Visual voicemail, mine will not connect to voicemail and locks up when entering passcode? I am using the following:
AOKP JB Build (aug19th)
Gapps 7-29
Kernal: Instigators 6.2.1
Other than that, everyhting seems to work fine!!
This is a known issue with most current Jellybean ROMs, and it's not related to any kernel.
Thanks for your reply. I did not have this issue on CM10 Alpha2 but it had other issues so that is why I changed. Seem like you fix one thing you cause another two to happen......but I like it a lot better than GB or ICS. Hopefully there next build it will have voicemail issue fixed. Question: Do you know if this ROM allows for 4G LTE?
Phone: Skyrocket S2 i727
Rom: AOKP JB Build (aug19th)
Google: Gapps 7-29
Kernel: Instigators 6.2.1
CWM: v5.8.13

Fascinating, this fix works for me too. Just a guess, but I think the real issue was the proxy address or the string in the APN Type field. Or both. Or other things, who knows. Oh, I also changed the APN Protocol to IPv4/IPv6. Looks like a *known issue* is resolved!
Can you send me a screen shot of all your settings on this ...there are more than what you listed and I still cannot get it to work right. Your help would be appreciated!!
New issues with voicemail with sept 9th AOKP build
Any one having issues with AOKP Sept 9th build. When you try and play a voicemail it errors out saying it could not play.
Phone: Skyrocket S2 i727
Rom: AOKP JB Build (Sept9th)
Google: Gapps 7-29
Kernel: Instigators 6.3.4
Hi,
I've had issues receiving MMS messages and with Visual Voicemail. Upon verifying the settings, they matched what razorhog has posted; however, nothing worked.
I followed the instructions and created a new APN profile with NEW (but same) settings and MMS started working; however, VM is still displaying "Could not play message. Please try again later or call Voicemail."
I'm on CM9 nightly...

simply flash after a clean reboot?
What did flashing the kernel improve out of curiosity?
Did anyone have problems doing it without darkside? in my experience darkside has made things worse sometimes =\
I'm a noob, but I ran into a few problems. On the native kernel, the rotations were inverted, so I went to instagator's. Once I got that up, I tried bringing all my apps in (no data, just the apps themselves) via Titanium, and I'd get 3-4 apps at a time before it froze, so I just gave up, lol.
Backing out of SMS causes FC.
Ran it for a day and I liked it. When its less buggy I'd surely use it for a DD. I ran gingerbread miui for well over a year on the evo and infuse. It rocked back then. PreICS!

Almost exactly same here with the screen rotation. Downloaded a few apps via tb then it just quit. Now tb has disappeared but all app managers say it's installed?!!

Got the screen rotation bug too. For a temporary workaround just turn off automatic rotation.
Edit: BTW, awesome ROM Op. Never tried miui before, pretty cool!

Man I haven't ran miui in quite some time. Might have to give this a go.
