No one is going to say it?? Hey N00B!! you're in the wrong ****ing FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This noob doesn't even know how to check for his CID number. He shouldn't even be flashing ROMS, especially since he can't even read that this is the developer forums, so he can't read the directions on how to read a flash a rom.
Also to the illiterate noob who can't read, maybe you can hear, so hear this

Exactly what is wrong with you? You've posted almost exactly the same thing to the guy who posted in the dev forum about battery stats. Yes, he's a noob, we get it. And yes, it is annoying to see the same questions being posted over and over again because people can't read. And yes, I agree that no one in their right minds should be thinking about messing around with ROMs and firmwares unless they know exactly what they are doing.
But seriously. Grow up. Unless you're telling me you were born out of your mother's womb with all this awesome tech knowledge in your head. If that's truly the case then, please, educate us ignorant mortals.
Now, to the OP: have you read this thread? If you haven't, please go read it properly. I have no idea what on earth you did, you need to give us a step-by-step list of the things you did. I suspect that all you need to do is delete PG58IMG.zip from your SD card and flash a ROM.

Calm down and learn how to properly communicate with people.
Anyway, OP, I shall now describe what you must do:
1. Go to >this< guide and follow step 4 (STEP 4. WRITE SUPER CID [YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE]).
2. Download >this< ROM and put it on your SD card.
3. Boot into the bootloader (when the phone is off, press vol. down + power) and select the recovery option.
4. In the recovery go to 'wipe | format' and select 'format all partitions'.
5. When that process is done, go to 'install from SD card', 'choose zip from SD card', go to the folder where the ROM is located and install it.
6. When the ROM is installed reboot your phone and wait until it has booted.
EDIT: hunter890 just posted a link to a guide, but you can also follow what I wrote. Might be easier for you.

tnx for replay and try to help me ..
and also tanks viktor .

i do STEP 4. WRITE SUPER CID .and my cid now 11111111
i have Android_Revolution_HD-Sensation_3.6.13 ,,and put it on sd card ,
but when i start recovery nothing happen ,,black screen with error sign .

That's very very very wrong. What you should do is just what I described on the previous page. The reason the ROM wouldn't boot was because you flashed the old Gingerbread version of ARHD which won't boot on HBOOT 1.27.
And I still don't understand why you want the untouched ICS from HTC. The versions here on the forum (as example ARHD I linked you to) are better optimized, have no bloatware etc.

ARHD is cooked out of the OTA package, so it contains the same languages and I'm sure you can use the same services.

Help!!!

OK if this is the wrong place to look for help, please someone let me know...
I was trying to upgrade from Energy GB sense 3.5 ROM to the new Energy ICS .
While following these steps:
1. Download the Firmware from 3.24.401.1 & 3.25.401.101 RUU from here. As per the post by viperd, you may not be able to revert back to GB if you flash FW 3.24.
2. Download the Energy ROM (when available).
3. Do a Nandroid backup of your current ROM.
4. Place Superwipe, ROM and the PG58 file on the SD Card. The PG58 file needs to be on the root folder of the SD card.
5. Boot into bootoloader and let it update, it will turn the screen off in between, dont worry, its updating.
NOTE: When the screen turns off during the firmware update that it is not finished updating yet. The screen will come back on and continue updating, so first wait for the message that the update was completed. Also check in bootloader that the hboot and radio were both updated. A few problems were the hboot is updated but not the radio and this will then cause a bootloop when flashing the rom. Hboot should read 1.27.1100 and radio 11.21.3504.13_2.
I got stuck...The screen said Invalid CID
Now all I can do is get into recovery or the white screen that shows fastboot, recovery, factory reset etc.
I tried to flash other custom ROMS, other PG58 files, but nothing is working.
I have also tried to flash my backup to no avail.
I don't know if i achieved SuperCID but if I did at one point, I no longer have it. So i don't know my CID or Md5

Its not really ROM specific though , is it...
well, you could try to download an official RUU for your phone (try the closest to the one the phone shipped with) and see if that works (I had a similar problem but with firmware... nothing worked so I had to run the RUU and it helped) BUT hefore you do that try to get super CID and flash a custom rom, I think it should help too.. dont flame me if I'm wrong, I'm just trying to help :c
AFAIK your firmware has been updated. You can try flashing the radio separately.
Just flash the latest build from Mike. Or go into bootloader and the fastboot, connect usb cable and flash ruu.
he said he tried other roms, if I were him I'd go for RUU.
I was pretty sure that I needed to SuperCID, but didn`t know that I could force adb to see my phone and run the commands. That fixed it , flashed the updated package and ENergys rom. Thanks for the help and your time all.

I may have ****ed up BADLY (HTC Sensation, Bell mobillity)

Alright, let me preface this by saying that I am a huge dumbass who needs to learn how to read.
I rooted my phone today (HTC sensation, on bell mobility in Canada) and wanted to install an ICS rom on it. (The AOKP official build for the pyramid).
Flashed the rom without updating the firmware, got stuck in a bootloop (Booting animation went fine, it's when I get to the language selection screen that things went south, It would reboot and repeat)
No problem, I went into clockworkmod recovery, wiped/resetted the phone then loaded up my NANdroid backup. Everything was just fine, my phone was exactly in it's state prior to flashing the rom.
***Now, remember my preface? I'm a ****ing dip*******. I went on This thread: showthread.php?t=1459767 in the XDA forums, chose the first firmware package for ICS I saw, and put it on my SD card's root.
It's cringe-worthy how badly I ****ed myself. I completely missed the instructions on the OP, installed the firmware from Hboot (the same way I installed clockwork).
I rebooted, it went into the sense boot and started a loop there. Went into the bootloader, and it searched for the image, then gave me an ''Incorrect CID'' error, prompting me to reboot. Same thing happened when I tried flashing AOKP afterwards.
The only way I can do anything coherent with my phone is to boot without the SD card and then insert it.
I'm completely at loss at what I have to do here. Here's what I plan to do, but I want XDA's recommandation.
1. Wipe/Factory reset through Clockworkmod
2. Install the CORRECT gingerbread firmware, CAREFULLY following instructions.
3. Load up my backup.
3. Go back to ****ty stock sense until I can figure out how to do things properly, while sobbing quietly in the corner.
EDIT: My backup was lost when I recovered it. ****, ****, ****. Help me out r/android, I'm completely at loss on what I have to do.

No, I don't even know what it is. I'm just a noob who got too excited too quickly.
Would that fix my problem?
Did you actually manage to install the firmware that's telling you wrong CID? Cause you shouldn't have been able to. If that's the case, just plug in your SD card with a card reader or a buddies phone, use a file manager, and delete the PG58IMG.
Worst case scenario, head to the dev section and read up the rooting guide, there's an optional step called Super-CID, as mentioned above. Follow the directions and when you super-CID, problem will go away for good.
Good news, is that this is totally fixable.

as long as you can get into recovery... there is still ways to fix the device ...
the super cid will let u flash any of the firmware packages u need to flash before going to ICS rom... so would definitely suggest setting that up .. and then flashing the 3.32 package...
after that use recovery and flash whichever rom u would like to..
Yes Each phone comes with a CID - it is a regon identifier for your phone so it will tell you if yours is HTC, vodaphone, orange etc. Super CID is a CID that over-rides that letting you isntall any rom you want.
A normal CID will only let you install that type of rom, eg if you have a vodaphone rom and install an orange rom you will get the CID error. Look here for running Super CID, it is very easy.
LeJust find the RUU for Bell Mobility then connect your device to your computer and then boot the device in to the Hboot and make sure you see fastboot in red in on the Hboot screen. If you do not then ou need to install HTC Sync on your computer. When you do see fastboot in red extract the .zip file for the RUU and then right click on the .exe file and select run as administrator. Then follow all the on screen instructions from the RUU. This should get you going again.
Now to address why you have to pull out your SD card so you can boot into Hboot. You need to delete the PM58IMG.zip file from our SD card as that is what is causing your trouble.

From the Hboot menu I was able to ''update'' it. But I don't think it updated the way it should have. Stock Sense, with Gingerbread, bootloop'ed, and so does AOKP

He's saying superwipe, not super-cid.
To OP, Superwipe is a script that can be used to wipe data, cache, boot, and system. Some roms recommend using it, others just recommend wiping using clockwork or 4ext's default wipe options.

Hi,
You should be OK to just install something like ARHD ROM
It contains root and recovery, which are installed when you flash the ROM...
On the [OP] is also a superwipe which will clean and prepare your phone for the new ROM.
Backup your stuff, place the superwipe and ROM on the root of your sd card and flash from recovery
Thanks for.your response but I'm really not interested in installing Custom Roms at the moment, just Stock Rom for now.
Can you please if u know or have any info on doing the.rooting and Custom Recovery by myself.

Revolutionary is an engineering (ENG) bootloader
Oh ok so ENG stands for Engeneering I thought it stranded for English, sorry but I'm still new to all this Android Terminology.
You know, someone should make a thread with all these android terminology and make it a Sticky.
Thanks for the info.
Btw, do you know since I got my Sm-Off back with GB and now I updated to ICS and I see that my bootloader says S-Off still, am I still good for Custom Recovery and Root?

HOLY CRAP! can this be any more confusing. I've been following this thread waiting for a final answer and still nothing. If anyone gets this done, please do a step by step for those of us not willing to blaze new ground here.
I know there are tons of us in the same boat. Upgraded to ICS stock and wanting to keep the ROM, just open ourselves up to CWM flashing options and root required apps.
Based on what the original poster is going through here, most of us do not want to chase down link after link.
I'll keep watching hoping for a final answer. Make the last post a link to the STEP by STEP.
Thanks all for your patience.
Look, you basically need a bootloader that says *unlocked*, *revolutionary* & *juopunutbear*.
If you are S Off but locked, flash an ENG Hboot.
If you are S On & locked, unlock using HTC Dev or S Off using JB.
Now, after this, flash 4EXT recovery & then root the device.
If your Hboot version is less than 1.27 flash firmware.
I'm assuming you are already on stock, so you have a stock rooted rom with custom recovery.
All of these can be done using my tool.
That's about as much I can help you with.
Also, when you talk about being new, look at when I've joined & when you'll have.
I got my first android phone a month ago & I'm on XDA since less than 3 weeks!
(No offence meant, but please try searching)

ok i just downloaded your tool from your the link under your signature and is version 6.4.2 and i think i remeber you or someone else suggesting that i needed to install the ENG option which is option 10 but then your tools says that option 10 in intended for devices who have been S-Off using the JB S-Off (juopunutbear or something, the wire trick thingy). so mine as you can see in the first post im S-Off but im still remained Locked from upgrading from 2.3.4 to 4.0.3 but i have never used the JB method, sooooo does option 10 applies to me or NOT?
how do i get the ***LOCKED*** to say something else? do i need a different bootloader or a different hboot or a different recovery or what?
what do i need to get: have in mind that im gonna try using your tool
***LOCKED*** into something else?
Custom Recovery?
Root? SuperSU or Superuser?
etc and everything else needed to have full control of my phone?
also can you tell me with your tool in order to understand you better what would be the steps i have to follow in order to achieve all this? for example: step 1 for S-off, then step 3 for custom rec. ext4, then step 4 root device, etc, etc you know what i mean just for me to follow up without screwing up my device, since im gonna follow ur instructions to the letter.
if you need more info on my device all you need is on my first post
thanks man i would really appreciate it

Too many questions, seems you're confused.
Please head to IRC & find me there. SigPic (REALTIME IRC) has link.
EDIT: To briefly explain, it doesn't matter Revolutionary S Off or Juopunut Bear S Off.
The ENG Hboot is compatible with both.
After this, you can choose to install custom recovery if you want to or, just root right away.
It is always advisable to have custom recovery installed.
Ok this is the pics of the.tool scroolong up all the time

Search for kohr ah firmware thread... In sensation development section.. And get the 3.33 universal firmware and flash it.. Flashing instructions in the same thread too.. You have old radio that should be updated
All PG58IMG.zip are not same they are named same that's all as only that name is identified by the bootloader

Flash the firmware in hboot not recovery. Put the PG58 file on the root off your sd card and boot into boot loader by holding power and volume down keys. After you update, reboot out of bootloader or use sd card reader to delete the PG58 file off sd card and don't boot into bootloader until you do or it will update again.

Wiping data won't wipe your rom.. If it did.. Then you will not be able to boot at all
To check the rom and kernel
Check in

[Q] Is my device bricked or what?

I know there are probably other threads that can help me but I'm really desperate here. I just got my Sensation 4G (T-Mobile) a few days ago and decided to root it and install a custom ROM. This is my first Android device so I followed a newb guide specifically for the Sensation 4G. However, I think I accidentally missed the step describing how to S-Off and I ended up trying to install Cyanogen Mod 9. It installed ok but I got stuck at the boot screen. From there, I tried restoring to a backup I made before installing Cyanogen but it didn't work. Now I'm stuck at the HTC logo. Can anyone help me out? Here are some more details about my device:
*** UNLOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
eMMC-boot

I think my firmware is 3.32 and the Android version was 4.0.3 although I guess there's nothing on it now.
EDIT: The latest guide I followed shows how to install/flash the stock ICS firmware but I couldn't update the firmware. It says "Parsing .zip" but doesn't go further than that.
Enable smartflash in 4ext recovery, then flash Rom again

I don't have 4ext recovery installed, only CWM. Is there a way to install it even though I can't boot into the phone?
Yeah, just have to flash another recovery (4ext) through fastboot.
If you look around the development section, you'd probably find a guide how to do it, if not PM me, and I'll give you the steps.
Have a look in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861 Asskicker's guide, how to flash roms with S-ON. If you don't want to flash the 4ext recovery (I highly recommend to install it!) then you can do Step "EXTRA 1" from that guide and install "boot.img" from the downloaded rom. You find it in the zip file, in the kernel folder. But read the guide, there are plenty of very useful info in it! And to answer your question, No! Your phone is not bricked!

I have a bunch of ROMS that I've tried and they're all on my desktop. Only two of them have a kernels folder, so I guess the other two are using a stock kernel and I can't use them, right? I'll try following that thread you linked me to, hopefully it'll work this time.
EDIT: It worked! Thank you so much! Now if I wanted to install Cyanogen Mod 9 for example, which doesn't have that kernels folder, I would need to S-OFF first right?
If you want to install ROM's without being S-OFF I'm pretty sure you need 4EXT.
And for future reference to all who may find this thread down the road, if you can get into your Recovery (any recovery) your phone is almost certainly not bricked. You may have a lot of fixing to do, but it's almost certainly fixable.
When the splash screen doesn't even come up after hitting the power button or the charing light doesn't come on when plugged in...that's when it's time to worry. (And even then you may have options)

I did the wire-trick to S-OFF my device. WHen I first did that, my only option in the bootloader was RUU and I was about to ask you about that but took my battery out first. Now it's back to normal and it shows S-OFF. However, my microSD card is now completely wiped. I have a backup on my computer, so should I just copy the files back on there and try another ROM so that my WiFi will work?

copy your files into sdcard then reboot your device
about wifi you can flash the boot.img manually(maybe you do not need that because you are S-OFF now)
otherwise flash your rom again

Haha I was waiting for that "Up the Irons." My username is pretty much the same on every site I register on so I always get that. Anyway, I'm not sure what's going on with the WiFi but I'm going to try a different ROM and hope WiFi works there.
:highfive:
