i got sensation xe , it is untouched yet , (new)
i want to S-on to S-off in order to install the arabic RUU in it
i turned the usb debugging and install the HTC Driver on the computer
and download the Revolutionary.
My HLoader is 1.18 . i put the beta key from the site and it is accepted
but at the end i got " Failed to get root "
Plzzzzz anybody help me to solve this problem
but plzz explain step by step cuz i'm new to HTC

What does it say when you boot into Hboot?
If you want to flash a official Arabic RUU all you should have to do is get S-off and then change your CID to Super CID or the CID for the stock ROM in the RUU.

This is simple dude.. Revolutionary zengroot is not working for many devices... So you need to somehow root your device properly..That's where tacoroot comes . Use this guide to run revolutionary and you are good to go

I need to downgrade program for sensation hboot
i was using my phone since 4 months wht s-off and root and there are no problems. just 2 days before i rooted one of the ics roms and got an error message and phone went ofline so i made a restorewhit cwm and phone came back online. after this steps i did supercid and s-on to my phone. now telephone works correctly but i cant get any updates or even i cant make my phone s-off again because of it says hboot version is older than 1.20.xxxxxx
short for long about phone
- its working
-no problem whit general usage
-i cant do s-off
- cant get any updates
- sometimes when i open close actions it opens whit bootloader.
question how can i get my hboot to 1.17xxxx or 1.18.xxx again please help me

Dude please ask stuff like this in q and a this is development for devs. Have a look at Mike's hboot op.

Not sure i understand your post 100%, but as i understand it, you can install a standard RUU from here with a older HBoot
I did that and it solved my problem.
standart ruu installed
error mesage : you want to install version, that version does not match the moment.
loaded : 1.45.468.2 standart turkey ruu ( current)
phone version : 1.45.468.1 standart turkey ruu

Are you still working on the problem you have mentioned or have you get over with it ? PM me in case you would like to get a Turkish help..
The problem is this:
He tried some Ics roms and restored the original Turkish rom from Cwm after he triad to S-on back.
Finally his device is S-on with Hboot 1.20
He achived to root and custom recovery with open bootloader, but couldn't downgrade hboot for S-Off
I adviced to dreamnej this method for downgrade:

then find PD58ING.zip for hboot 1.17 and you should be able to go back down and run Revo again

I wanted to return to the original state.
ics for the original HTC update.
hboot 1.20.0000. this cause will not come with the update. I want to fix.
There was no warning about hboot s-on process. writes may be brick. but hboot "1.18.xxxx 1.17.xxxx or" no warning. "hboot 1.20.0000" problem does not write.

Ahh man you can't do soff as of now.
The development for downgrading is still in progress....check the thread "beta over unbricking sensation...." In android development section.
As for your bootloader is unlocked via HTC dev so its not unlocked completely...but you can install custom ics roms..but for that you need to update HBOOT from 1.23 to 1.27 (just to make sure this supports ics roms completely)

ohh sorry ....i've completely focused on screen shots so didnt check your OP properly
now that you have S-ON and HTC unlocked bootloader
flashing/updating firmware through traditional way(using PG58IMG.zip ) is not possible for you.
the only way for you to update the firmware is by Running RUU...which is cid dependent
as you are super CID you can flash/run any RUU (RUU.exe)
but before doing that first off all do a nandroid backup if you have custom recovery installed
then you need to relock your bootloader (may not be required but just to be safe)
then you should run the RUU (any ICS RUU would do for you as you are Supercid )
you can find the ICS RUU's from here
i highly recommend using "RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.5_Radio_11.69.3504..." as this is for unbranded sensation which is deprived of all carrier bloatware
NOTE:if your phone is XE version then use "RUU_PYRAMID_LE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.105_R_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M_release_251961_signed.exe"
EDIT: btw you need to run RUU with phone connected to computer in fastboot mode (i.e. fastboot usb)

that RUU is HTC official ONE
its called "ROM UPDATE UTILITY" so ofcourse you wont have any problems...if it has any errors it simply exists and it wont screw up your device for sure

defining "BEST" rom is like defining "WOMEN"
each one have their own preferences...and their own pros and cons
Insertcoin and ARHD are near to stock ICS with tons of optimization...both are awesomely good ...and they are awesomely stable...
there are sense 4 roms (ported) like ordroid...insert coin sense 4 rom...etc etc...
also there are lot of AOSP roms... (AOSP are like stock android .)
bottom line is you need to decide it yourself
as for the recovery ...i recommend 4EXT as i feel it is better than CWM
also installing 4EXT is much easier imo
just go to this forum and download recovery updater apk...
then install recovery from apk
remember to say "yes" when it asks whether you are s-on are not

Anyway, I'm on a similar situation as OP describes. I'm stuck on hboot 1.21.0001, unlocked bootloader and S-ON, my CID is BSTAR301, and want to upgrade firmware to be able to install ICS custom roms because revolutionary doesn't work on my hboot version.
Also, all attempts to get supercid failed.
Do you know which RUU I can use to upgrade firmware to 3.32?

Dude I Downloaded The XE RUU N Flashed It .... now my htc sensation xe is running stock ics 4.03 with sence 3.6

so I bought a new HTC sensation like a week ago.
it's comes with android 2.3.4 and sense 3.0.
I wanted to install ICS 4 a stock rom.
I tried everything: to get root, s-OFF, unlock bootloader (HTCdev and revolutionary), change CID and super cid.
none of them succed to me (I think only the HTCdev succed but i'm not sure).
I did so many guide and tried them like 50 times, I reached a dead end.
So I decided to ask for help, What's the first thing I should do, I wish you would help me step by step.

First of all you should S-OFF your device using the revolutionary utility..Other things can be done without much difficulty..Are you having trouble with S-OFF?

good you just need 3.32 firware for that
first go to fastboot on you device and get cid of your device
"fastboot getvar cid"
better do super cid ...then you can install any RUU
to do supercid
"fastboot oem writecid 11111111" (eight ones)
if you are supercid get any 3.32 firmware from this thread
or get the 3.32 firmware corresponding to your cid
this is the thread

based on your cid ....get 3.32 from here
to install firmware follow step 4 and 5 from this thread
also for flashing the rom...you require custom recovery ....so did you got one ?
if you didn't then get this
4EXT touch recovery
keep this in your adb folder
and flash it via fastboot
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
then the rom.zip you got need to be installed from the recovery

Hi i am kinda new to rooting and stuff like that. But on my SII it was way easier to put into a custom rom.
Now i have this XE and want to root it, and i followed the guide wich use the revolutionary[dot]io/ app and i get a message that i have too new hboot or something ? And one other guide that told me i had to use a isolated wire to root??
So is it any possibility to get this XE rooted now, or am i stuck on this stock rom? Stock rom is kinda bloated aswell, every time i reboot the phone i get this android upgrade in progress and it count all the apps etc. what's up with that ?
so if anyone could _read_ before they point me into a direction i've already seen i'd be happy

the wire trick is pretty easy to use, and it is for gaining S-OFF.
The android is updatering were bothering me too and I read somewhere that is i kind of lazyness. It is normal when the phone boots but istead of some kind of image it is just telling you some stuff.

no just flash the rom..but before flashing it ..you need to enable smart flash on 4EXT ..thats all

Ok first check you have Juopunutbear in bootloader.. If it's not
Then get the pyramid ics hboot from http://unlimited.io/hboot-downloads/
Then follow the instructions present in url I've linked above to flash the hboot
Then after flashing it
Use fastboot reboot-bootloader to get back to bootloader

Guys i really need your help.
My Phone:
HTC Sensation 4G T-Mobile USA
Was running ICS and was rooted
This is what comes up in HBoot:
*** UNLOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
Long story short:
I rooted my phone being S-ON
then i tried doing S-OFF using Juopunutbear method
and now the phone doesnt start and goes on loop
tried doin recovery but nothing works on the boot thingy !
Here is the long story if you want to know all the details:
I unlocked the Bootloader of my Sensation using the HTC dev site.
Then I rooted my phone using this method(keeping S-ON):

After that i used my rooted phone for a while till i decided to S-OFF using this guide:

After tht I ran Juopunutbear S-OFF(Step 6) my device restarted and went on the Juopunutbear loop and it stays there(waited fr a long time).
what i really think is that i messed up and kinda skipped step 2(Restore to Stock 3.32 Rooted ROM) and 3(Flash boot.img from Stock 3.32 Rooted ROM in Fastboot) of the guide.
then i pulled out my battery and tried starting it again but still it keeps on showin the Juopunutbear(with a HD) loop type thingy.
then i tried backing up from boot but whatever i press doesnt work and the device just restarts
i tried recovery and everything else but no use, it just restarts
is it possible to start from scratch ?
Can u Please Please help me out !
I really need this phone to get up and start working with everything rooted and S-OFF.

fastboot oem lock
and now the *** RELOCKED *** came up on top !!!

long story short
unlock the bootloader again
(use the same unlock_code.bin you got and "fastboot flash unlock unlock_code.bin" i think---chk htc dev instructions )
then in my signature chk the TROUBLESHOOT point 4 of the SOFF guide
Unlocked now !

ok I just Unlocked my bootloader again
now what can I do to boot into an actual OS or something ?

for new HBOOTS (1.27 ) juopunutbear is the only method
now either you can try SOFF using the auggie2k guide
or
if you want to flash custom roms with S-ON
follow this guide

ok thanks but u got any idea y i went into that loop thing in the first place
was it cz of the steps 2 and 3
what we gta do in those steps actually
i dont wan go thru that and again end up on that JB loop

see the soff process takes you to that screen
and you need to do wire trick there ...
if you got unsuccessful in wire trick ...you need to revert back to normal working state (i.e. trouble shoot point 4 i've mentioned)
what you did is ran controlbear until half ...and without reverting back to normal ..you tried to do other stuff which will obviously wont work
next stipe follow the steps

but as far i remember after it restarted Controlbear was tellin Daemon not running or smthn and it was stuck on that place

deamon not running ..means adb failed to detect your phone
that is probably you didnt uninstalled HTC-sync or you are using usb hub, or usb 3.0 port
check the prerequisites in the soff guide present in my link ..you need to meet all of them
also check trouble shoot point 3 ...it has wire trick tips and solutions to different problems that might arise due to wire trick
