Ahh man you can't do soff as of now.
The development for downgrading is still in progress....check the thread "beta over unbricking sensation...." In android development section.
As for your bootloader is unlocked via HTC dev so its not unlocked completely...but you can install custom ics roms..but for that you need to update HBOOT from 1.23 to 1.27 (just to make sure this supports ics roms completely)
Let me know what you want actually so that I can guide you further

What do you want to do now?
Do you want to update to ics?
Then you need to update your firmware/build number to 3.32 .
For that I need to know your cid
Command to get cid
"fastboot getvar cid"

ohh sorry ....i've completely focused on screen shots so didnt check your OP properly
now that you have S-ON and HTC unlocked bootloader
flashing/updating firmware through traditional way(using PG58IMG.zip ) is not possible for you.
the only way for you to update the firmware is by Running RUU...which is cid dependent
as you are super CID you can flash/run any RUU (RUU.exe)
but before doing that first off all do a nandroid backup if you have custom recovery installed
then you need to relock your bootloader (may not be required but just to be safe)
then you should run the RUU (any ICS RUU would do for you as you are Supercid )
you can find the ICS RUU's from here
i highly recommend using "RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.5_Radio_11.69.3504..." as this is for unbranded sensation which is deprived of all carrier bloatware
NOTE:if your phone is XE version then use "RUU_PYRAMID_LE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.105_R_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M_release_251961_signed.exe"
EDIT: btw you need to run RUU with phone connected to computer in fastboot mode (i.e. fastboot usb)

that RUU is HTC official ONE
its called "ROM UPDATE UTILITY" so ofcourse you wont have any problems...if it has any errors it simply exists and it wont screw up your device for sure

defining "BEST" rom is like defining "WOMEN"
each one have their own preferences...and their own pros and cons
Insertcoin and ARHD are near to stock ICS with tons of optimization...both are awesomely good ...and they are awesomely stable...
there are sense 4 roms (ported) like ordroid...insert coin sense 4 rom...etc etc...
also there are lot of AOSP roms... (AOSP are like stock android .)
bottom line is you need to decide it yourself
as for the recovery ...i recommend 4EXT as i feel it is better than CWM
also installing 4EXT is much easier imo
just go to this forum and download recovery updater apk...
then install recovery from apk
remember to say "yes" when it asks whether you are s-on are not

Anyway, I'm on a similar situation as OP describes. I'm stuck on hboot 1.21.0001, unlocked bootloader and S-ON, my CID is BSTAR301, and want to upgrade firmware to be able to install ICS custom roms because revolutionary doesn't work on my hboot version.
Also, all attempts to get supercid failed.
Do you know which RUU I can use to upgrade firmware to 3.32?

Dude I Downloaded The XE RUU N Flashed It .... now my htc sensation xe is running stock ics 4.03 with sence 3.6
I Like It over here .. I Dnt Want to Install any cuStom Rom ..

i want to S-on to S-off in order to install the arabic RUU in it
i turned the usb debugging and install the HTC Driver on the computer
and download the Revolutionary.
My HLoader is 1.18 . i put the beta key from the site and it is accepted
but at the end i got " Failed to get root "
Plzzzzz anybody help me to solve this problem
but plzz explain step by step cuz i'm new to HTC

What does it say when you boot into Hboot?
If you want to flash a official Arabic RUU all you should have to do is get S-off and then change your CID to Super CID or the CID for the stock ROM in the RUU.

This is simple dude.. Revolutionary zengroot is not working for many devices... So you need to somehow root your device properly..That's where tacoroot comes . Use this guide to run revolutionary and you are good to go

post your all HBOOT details here
also post your cid ...
if you have adb/fastboot setup
then go to fastboot on device ,connect it to pc and type
"fastboot getvar all" ...print all the stuff...except serial number and imei
then ill guide you further

ok right now you are using ARHD 6.6.3 right...then do this
get 3.32 firmware (PG58IMG.zip) from this thread
to install:
1.put the PG58IMG.zip file (don't rename the file after download) on the top/root of sdcard
2.boot into bootloader
the bootloader finds the file and asks you whether you want to update or not...say yes
3.once update is done...it asks you to reboot ...so reboot
4.now if phone reboots properly...which it should....then immediately delete the PG58IMG.zip
by using any file explorer
if the phone is still bootlooping...the remove the sdcard and then go to bootloader
if its still bootlooping then join the irc..ill help you further

I can't add any more information than anyone else has other than to say that following a carrier repair my phone came back with 1.27 and I'm happily back onto ARHD; these forums are a god send!

If you're interested in rooting your phone, you could try installing the TMOUS version of Android Revolution HD (Android Revolution HD 1.2.2 T-Mobile) from here
if you are SOFF then do supercid (fastboot oem writecid 11111111) and then install stock tmous RUU
if you are SON but unlocked then you need to do SOFF for supercid to work ..soff guide ..check for auggie2k guide on soff
if you just want the ROM part of TMOUS ..not the firmware then look (i mean flashable zip of rom ) ...look here

Now my phone is S-off , rooted, supercid 11111111 but still Tmous rom is doesn't work . Only started then restart circully . meaby something is wrong or something is missiing ? (Sorry for my english language)

What's the firmware?

Or simply post the bootloader details.. From that at least we can guess what firmware it is

and flash it (flashing instructions in the same guide too )
then if you haven't erased/formatted/wiped anything of the rom part ...you chould boot fine (you cant boot to earlier 2.3 version rom though as the firmware is of ICS one and rom is of GB )

no wifi you mean that it shows error.try to flash the boot.img of the rom

have a vodafone nz z710e ... tried flashing a stock ics RUU .. and i just ended up with a htc sceen rebooting over and over ..
should have read a bit more about the intricacies of upgrading ..re cid and sw version etc
so i found a custom 2.34 and managed to flash that, so at least i can get the phone running.
i've unlocked the bootloader, and have a custome recovery on there now.
but i just can't get the reolutionary s-off app to work ... just gets stuck at the zerg boot thing ..and the same issue with the wire trick, the app hangs ..
i can adb flash stuff to the phone no problem ...
but yeh seems i'm stuck on 2.34 , 152.720.3 , hboot 1.18.000
do gold cards work on a sensation with a unlocked bootloader? maybe i could flash a stock RUU from another region ?

so i found a custom 2.34 and managed to flash that, so at least i can get the phone running.
i've unlocked the bootloader, and have a custome recovery on there now.
but i just can't get the reolutionary s-off app to work ... just gets stuck at the zerg boot thing ..and the same issue with the wire trick, the app hangs ..
i can adb flash stuff to the phone no problem ...
but yeh seems i'm stuck on 2.34 , 152.720.3 , hboot 1.18.000
do gold cards work on a sensation with a unlocked bootloader? maybe i could flash a stock RUU from another region ?

A gold card should work fine pal I will post back when I am home a link to a goldcard making website. just remember the smaller the sdcard the better in my opinion (size in gigabyte) , you will need to flash a "upgrade" to the phone so make sure its a software upgrade but not a Hboot upgrade (try get a WWE Rom ) and you will need to relock your bootloader again before you can run the ruu. if you find one that needs to be Downgraded just say and I will try to help you downgrade your misc partition

I would try mmc0 first, and if that fails try mmc1. Its been a long time since ive used a goldcard for a emmc device :/

thanks mate ... so umm ..do i have to do anything to runn the ruu?
i mean, do i just boot up the phone with the gold card and run the ruu on my pc .... problem is if i relock the bootloader the custome rom i have currently loaded will cause the phone not to boot up, only to fastboot.
so i guess i have to find a zip version and do it via PG58IMG?
but if i do it that way do i have to flash a firmware that supports that rom first?? :/
i really think i'm screwed unless i can get s-off
is there any manual way to get s-off on a hboot 1.18.000 device via adb ...ie not using these revolution or the wire trick ...just pure adb ?

Hi,
In order to s-off you need Revolutionary for 1.18 and wire trick for 1.2x
Your problem is you unlocked via HTC DEV.
Relock .
What area are you in?
Would Asia work?

With the goldcard in the phone and your bootloader locked connect to the pc in fastboot mode and run the ruu iy should run without issue. Just make sure its a gingerbread rom your trying to flash and not a ics one and you shouldn't have any firmware issues

feel like i'm getting closer ....new aim is just to get back to stock ...any stock version ...

other way is to change the cid to the european unbranded one and install that ruu again
it might work

fastboot getvar cid (to check if cid has changed)

I'm pretty confident it will work, as long as its an update. It won't downgrade unless you have a misc partition downgrade done. If mmc1 fails then an upgrade will be needed to get ics firmware and then s-off via jupuntobear.

ok i've having issues editing android-info.txt of any zip i extract or download.
can anyone with a stock ics zip please add VODAP022cidnum: and upload it somewhere?
i figure if i can get that, i should be fine as my hboot is 1.18.000 and my sw is 1.52.720.3 .... so any ics zip with my cid in it should work ....

do not extract the android-info.txt
just open it from the zip with notepad
then edit and save

yeh it's after the save that i have the problem, it's like i dont have permission to edit the zip :/ .... i must be doing some thing wrong....

I have just install Ice Cream Saga_v3 in my htc desire s it has too many bugs and also lagging too much. so i want to install stock rom in my htc desire s back, i need stock.zip rom for htc desire s which i can install with recovery!

Why not try another rom? Fallout is very good and SVHD.
Also u cant return back to stock by flashing zip in recovery. U have to relock ur bootloader then run the correct ruu for ur phone. Google "shipped roms" for ruu's

My desire S has Hboot version 2.00.002 S-on and ruu stucks on sending... thats why i m looking for zip flashable stock rom for htc desire S. If u have any solution for ruu plz tell me..

Boot in to fastboot, plug ur phone in to pc and type command "fastboot getvar all" post what it says and what does it say on top of bootloader screen? Locked, unlocked?

Hi, what other roms have you tried. I wouldnt be quick to restore to stock rom if i were u. i suggest that you try some other rom before doing that.
Most of the sense rom are bug free and is much fluid in my opinion. you can choose sense rom 3.5 to 4.0.4, It's easy to flash, you can play around with the interface and if you dont like it you can reflash. I rooted rom give you more freedom. you can delete bloatware and use other root apps to improve your phone.
And if you wish to test the battery life, give it a day or 2 before damming the rom as a battery hogger.
here are the list of roms. check it out.
