Are you connecting your device to your computer via USB cable when it is requesting it?
Also are you working with a Sensation or a Rezound as I notice it says you have a Rezound in your signature?
What stock ROM did you try to boot?
Have you tried to use Super Wipe before you flashed a custom or stock ROM? If you do use this make sure select reboot to bootloader in recovery after you flash a ROM. Then use fastboot to flash another boot.img via fastboot before you try to boot your device into the ROM. The Super Wipe will remove your boot.img (your kernel) from your boot partition and if a new one is not flashed before rebooting into a normal boot (not booting into recovery or Hboo) you could brick your device.

I have a rezound but my friends sensation

Good news is your not bricked.
I need more info so please boot into hboot and type out the text displayed on hboot. Then run the following fastboot command and copy the output exluding IMEI and Serial No. into a post. The fastboot command is:
fastboot getvar all

The full ruu is your best bet I own sensation and evo3d and it will put you back to stock Rom and be sure to use a formatted sd card

What have you done so far and what exactly is the status of your phone?
ex. have you S-OFF w/ Revolutionary, do you have a Recovery installed (CMW or 4EXT), are you SuperCID or Rooted? Did you upgrade your firmware to 3.32? What image are you trying to flash? Did you do a superwipe or a full wipe? Do you have ADB installed?

You got adb/fastboot setup
If not use this guide To setup adb/fastboot follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152148
Then go to fastboot in your mobile
Bootloader (vol down + power). Then to fastboot.. And connect it to your pc
(once connected to pc. Your mobile reads "fastboot usb")
Go to your adb folder and type
fastboot devices
This should show you the list of devices attached... And your device should be listed there
Then on the pc type this now
fastboot getvar all
Post the output that you get from above command.. (except serial no and imei)
Or the easy way
Post all the stuff that appears once you boot into bootloader

Help - stuck on HTC screen

Okay - I did a really dumb thing - I flashed CM7 with S-on
I tried RUUing it - but my battery is below 30%
It all started when I was on 2.3.4 and my battery wouldn't charge past 15%. So I rooted it, ignored the s-on, and flashed cm7 thinking a different rom might fix the battery issue. I fixed it alright - it stays stuck on the white screen with the HTC Logo. Can anyone direct me to an unbrick without using RUU because it will not charge past 15%
Arrrrrrggggggg- I'm a newb
Any suggestions...

Try this. Get adb/fastboot and take the boot.img from the cm7 ROM and move it to where adb/fastboot are. Once there power down and reboot to bootloader and select fastboot USB.
Plug the phone in and open terminal and navigate to where your adb/fastboot are. For me its home/strapped365/android/android/platform-tools
Then use this command
fastboot flash boot boot.img
S-ON Unlocked users can't flash to the boot partition.

Not the whole ROM. Just open it with 7zip or similiar and move its boot.IMG to where fastboot is then run the fastboot command I gave. I was under the impression none of the RUUs worked for you so I thought you were s-on unlocked with cwm

That's right - S-on. I'm going to have to reload cwm because RUU deletes but then fails during update
So this is what I'm going to try:
- reflash cwm from fastboot
- flash boot.img only from CM7 from fastboot
Then what after that?

Well since your booted in, atleast your phone is up and working, even though the settings are crashing. I wouldn't ruu from aosp or anything but that's just me. Being s-on unlocked won't keep you from anything, but you have to fastboot flash boot boot.img of every ROM that has a custom kernel, so its a pain for flashaholics. The choice is yours though, you could just need to do a full wipe a fresh flash and a fresh flash of the boot.img

[Q] Downgrading hboot 2.02.0002

I've sent my DS off for warranty, and it was returned with the new ics update installed on it. I immediately found out that the method i used to downgrade it from hboot 2.00 to 0.98(zergRUsh/tacoroot) wasn't working anymore. Are there any alternatives to unlocking the bootloader with htcdev, rooting and then going thru the whole downgrading procedures? Are there any other temproot exploits or are them under development?
Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1443636&highlight=down+grading+hboot
or

Trouble getting htc dev unlocked
I've submitted the unlocking request on htcdev, and was sent the unlock_code.bin file. The trouble is I can't get it flashed thru fastboot.
I type
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
and it stucks on sending 'unlocktoken'. The bootloader does something, as to reboot it I have to close the command prompt, reopen it and type fastboot reboot-bootloader and it rebbots just fine.
I tried several times, but without luck. What can I do?
Anyone?

Maybe you can try to flash a eng hboot from your SD card on your phone.
You also need a resent version of busybox
Shut down your phone and pull the battery and wait 5 minuter before you put
your battery back. In the mean time install the lastest HTC-USB drivers on you computer.
Start your device in bootloader mode and plug it in to your computer.
You now got bootloader-usb. Now flash your Unlock_code.bin.
"fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin"
Boot your phone in recovery
Make a nandroid backup of your ROM, reboot your phone
To make a backup of the hboot by entering this:
1) open terminal on your phone
2) su
3) dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18 of=/sdcard/backup.img
download a eng hboot.img and copy it to the SDcard/
1) open terminal on your phone
2) su
3) dd if=/sdcard/hboot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18
4) close the therminal
reboot in bootloader an see witch version of bootloader you got
If it has workt go to recovery and do a factory resset, reset dalvik and install a new rom and reboot
It works for me because my phone has revolutionary root but you can give it a try because I have not
found anyone has done this with HTC-dev, I also got no experience with HTC-dev.
Good luck ( I'm not responsible for any damage on your device )

From that page I gave you the link to there should be all the information you need to read and understand what/how to do and why.
Don't expect people to spoon-feed you the answers as you need to learn or you will simply screw your phone up and then start blaming everyone else on XDA for it.

Big mistake trying to flash CM10

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I unlocked my HTC Sensation through the HTCDev site and through the recovery, even with S-ON I went straight to flashing CM10 through CWM.
Now all I see is the CM10 boot screen and I cannot connect my phone to the computer either. However, I can still mount files onto the SD card through recovery. I am able to flash CM9 but its the same problem where it just boots forever.
If anyone had any ideas or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
On the Fastboot screen it says

you could use a PG58IMG.zip to flash 4ext recovery from bootloader
but unfortunately you are S-ON(i was searching for that zip somewhere here but it requires to be S-OFF)
also you said that you don't have enabled usb debugging mode

Have you tries a different USB port, or manually reinstall the drivers? Be sure when you manually install the drivers, do it with your phone unplugged. Then once you reinstall the drivers, plug your phone in, and it should work.

I've tried to use the driver off of http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-sensation-4g-tmobile/software-updates but when it runs, nothing pops up. Before this, I didn't need to install drivers before connecting my phone through USB
Could it be because after I unlocked the bootloader, I didn't turn debugging on? Now I don't think I have a way to do that
EDIT: Is is possible that I just get the backup files of someone using the stock and I move it into the restore of clockwork mod and backup from there?

it could be possible
but again while you are S-ON cwm recovery won't work ater restoring the backup
with smartflash feature enable from 4ext it has the ability to write also the boot partition
(that's why your rom didn't boot after installing with cwm)
if you want use these drivers instead

Those drivers installed correctly but I still get the same message where the device isn't working properly As of now I've been trying to extract the rom.zip's from RUU files and going to fastboot but I keep getting wrong image or no image

EDIT: the bootloader will not pick up on the rom.zip as the PG58img.zip method is disabled by htc once you use htcdev.
do you have access to another pc? maybe you could try with that and boot into bootloader and when it says its looking for the drivers let it do an online search before trying to "feed" it drivers. once you have fastboot working just place the attached .img file and place it into your adb folder and open a command prompt there (cmd) then with your phone placed in fastboot usb mode issue the command " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ". once this has flashed boot into recovery and select tools/enable 4ext smart flash. select yes. then wipe everything and re-flash your cyanogenmod 10 + gapps. reboot and wait up to 10 minutes for the first boot. No need for a ruu pal
THANK YOU GUYS! I followed heavy_metal_man's advice on hooking it up to another computer then I used rdr86's drivers to install it. From there I was able to use fastboot commands and get on to 4ext and flash CM10. It worked great! Except that my main camera isn't working right now. I hope I don't screw it up again next time I update. Thank you both again, I really appreciate it.

I realized I was on an old version of CM10 and I just flashed the most recent one to fix it. Although I don't have a camera shortcut now.. I just got one off the app store and fixed that little problem. Otherwise, I love the look and feel of CM10! Can't imagine going back to stock
Hmmm....I think you should add "while S-ON" on the title

[Q] Desire s wierd Bootloop

Hey guys bought a desire s off ebay (yeah i know) anyway the thing is in a boot loop and does not pass white htc quietly bla bla screen, unless you plug a lead into it and connect it to power via laptop or wall charger. the phone then starts and you can use it as normal the battery charges then when fully charged i unplug it and bam straight back into boot loop, i have searched and found nothing. the bootloader says relocked, have tried to get token off htcdev and always says the code is to short unlock failed........ i know how to copy and paste the code i have done it several times any help at all would be really good
If your phone is s-off , then flash a new rom ,
If still does not work, flash new hboot and radio

then flash a recovery when you are in fastboot mode. Flash recovery using
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery. img
. IMO, 4EXT recovery is the best
