Greetings everyone! Can anyone shed some light as to a possible reason why the "in-app" settings menu's on the Skyrocket's stock Camera app would display behind the on screen image or other 3rd party Camera apps (IE Camera+ ICS) do not display the camera control UI when requested? I'm having a heck of a time solving this issue. My Skyrocket is rooted if that helps. I've completed a wipe/factory reset and still have this issue. any insight/solution would be helpful.
Which custom ROM are you using? It may be a problem with the ROM.
Sorry about that. I neglected to mention that part....I am using the Stock Gingerbread ROM included when I bought the phone, and have Titanium Backup installed.

I have the Touch Pro for several months now but not really happy with it.
For example today i wanted to make a pic of some document, and the camera kept zooming on it itself withouth touching anykey. How can i solve this.
And will a new rom be better? Do i need to reinstall everything and is it possible to backup all my sms'es and addresses?
Thanks for the help.
The area around the action button is touch and context sensitive. If you're using the camera app, moving your finger around the button will zoom in/out.
then the sensivity will be very high cause i'm holding the phone in 1 hand near the speaker, wasnt touching anything.

Sorry, couldn't resist. It could be a number of things, such as wear-and-tear, a misaligned screen protector that is stressing the screen, even weather variations might affect the touch sensors.
Flashing a new rom could help, but if it's a software issue, chances are it's not the rom that is causing the problem, but some rogue application. (Of course, flashing a new rom means you'd start over from scratch, sans rogue application, if that's what's causing the behavior).
If you haven't flashed any rom (eg: still using stock), then I'd suggest it anyway for all the general performance improvements. You can backup (and restore) your personal information by using a program like PIM Backup; other backup software can also backup all of your apps and settings, but if you're switching to a new rom it's recommended to reinstall them, otherwise you might overwite some of the new rom's improvements with your old/current settings, which could cause further problems.
Hello... I installed the latest Legendary RC with the included Samauri kernel. I started with a clean wipe. I also installed GO Launcher EX (5x4 on Homescreens).
I LOVE this rom. Very snappy. However, I'm having 2 big issues.
1. The battery indicator has been erratic especially after reboot. It will show 60%, I'll reboot or restart and it will be at 20%. Has anybody else experienced this or is there something I can do to fix it?
2. I had all my home screens setup then when I restart sometimes the screens get messed up. Sometimes I will get repeat widgets and overlapping widgets. I fix it, reboot, and it may or may not get messed up again upon restart. Because it happens on restart I do not know if this is related to the above problem or if there is an incapatibility between GO 5x4 and Legendary?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first ROM so I'm a complete noob.
Additionally, A video chat using Google Talk has a green screen for my video (the front camera)
Should I reinstall the ROM? Will that mess up any of my apps or data?
I reinstalled the ROM but I have the same issue with the Gtalk Video being solid green for my front facing camera. Any ideas?
Bueller? Bueller?
Let me ask a different question about the front facing camera not working. Is it definitely a ROM issue? I installed a different kernel and that didn't make any difference.
Should I be asking this in a different location?

I'm using the Motorola Triumph on Virgin Mobile, but for some reason whenever I open my Camera application (or any app that uses my camera I.E Yelp/Google Goggles) the camera is blue and green, much like a thermal sensor, and the front view camera's color spectrum is normal. I'm running a beta version of CM7 and its worked properly for as long as I've had it, and now I can't find a way to reset it back to normal. I've tried resetting the camera to default settings, looking at the other apps and seeing if I've accidentally changed any settings that could potentially cause this situation. On a side note, all the color effects on my front-facing camera have never worked, just wondering if that's due to the beta version of CM7, or something else I can fix. Either way, it'd be great to have an answer!
Try backing up your apps, texts, and data (if you want) then doing a full wipe with CMW and reinstall CM7... Also if you aren't using the newest version (B.08 or Cm-tg-reloaded) Then you may want to try those out and see if they work any better.
it randomly fixed after a reboot and then I just upgraded and everything works besides the color effects on the front facing camera

Hi everybody I am a Skyrocket user. Some days ago I flashed stock android 2.3.5 on my phone via Odin, just to check some performance and old apps. A day later I flashed back JellyBean 4.1.2 stock but I noticed this problem. When I flip my phone to landscape, it rotates quickly and smooth like it always did. But when I flip back to portrait, it stucks in landscape for some seconds before rotating. This is a problem it doesn't always do, sometimes it rotates immediately like it should. I turn auto rotation off as I don't always need it but some apps like camera and youtube still autorotate. I thought it might be a problem with calibration but it didn't help. I'm on stock JellyBean, no rooted.
(If it helps: I was rooted after flashing the firmware and removed some system apps but only AT&T apps like code scanner, mog music etc, and I later unrooted the phone. Tried factory reset also re-flashed the firmware again to see if it might help with the problem but it didn't.)

If you tried odin back to stock, and the problem is still there on complete stock then it's probably time for a new phone unfortunately.
a few tips:
1. make sure you check the MD5 to make sure those files downloaded ok and aren't corrupt.
2. make sure you cable is good & you're using a USB port on the back of your PC
3. Ebay phones. even sold as new might not be new even though they look new. Could be just brand new replacement parts and new packaging, etc.
4. Check Vincom's troubleshooting thread! read the stickies! if you haven't, maybe something you overlooked as well.
screen rotation problem solve easily this trick working on all phones.
Use Spirit level pro software to calibrate your phone. sceen rotation problem is horizontal calibration fault, you solve screen rotation problem eaisly to use this software. Download from play store and download from attachment. Try this..

Hi kristikoroveshi is your issue solved if not pm me i faced same issue
Hi everyone,
For the short version i 'd like to know if there is a possibility to skip the lockscreen password when launching a non-stock camera app for the lockscreen shortcut ?
For the longer version :
It all started 6 month ago when i updated my S7 (exynos) with the Oreo update (via OTA). Short after this update, i started to notice some picture taken with my stock camera app were really bad, like compressed for MMS.
The phenomenon seems kinda random and can appear on any light condition (even outiside with good daylight). I factory reseted my phone but the problem remain.
So after a while living with this issue, is installed recently a GCAM prot for S7 which seems to give way better quality than stock (need to be confirmed in the long term). I decided to replace the stock camera app on all the shortcuts on my phone (launcher and lockscreen). And here comes my question :
The password skip function when launching stock camera app is really handy. so is there a way to have the same function on any camera app ? (i would love the same function with the calculator app ^^)
Am i the only one facing stock camera quality issue since oreo udate ? i found no thread in the forum.
Thank you in advance

You can chose any shortcuts you wish for the lock screen which bypass the screen lock to use, look on the lockscreen setting menu.

Choosing the shortcut is not my problem.
Right now, the only shortcut that skip the password screen is the camera. Even the default phone shortcut doesn't do that.
And I don't have any option in Lockscreen settings to choose which app bypass or not
You have an odd problem I always use the default camera app from the lockscreen and the quality is the same as launching the app from the home screen....I'm guessing is working properly when you lunch it from the launcher?
