Anybody else experiencing this problem: When I get an incoming call, it takes an awful lot of time before the screen wakes up and I can answer the call. This only started to happen recently. I'm talking like at least five seconds when it's already ringing. I'm on FB's Valhalla Rom, with Anton's kernel installed.
Another thing comes to mind: when the screen eventually wakes up, it takes another couple of seconds before my contact's name is displayed, before that I only get the phone number.
I had that problem on the stock 2.3.6 ROM w/ Bryan's latest kernel. I just changed to AntonX's [KERNEL] Almost Basic SGS4G KJ6 1.0 Beta4 and, thus far, I seem to be back to normal.
Okay, I updated to the last version of Anton's kernel. So now I'm waiting for someone to call mee lol
Cool. Let me know how it goes.
Does anyone know how to turn off the screen for incoming phone calls?

i mean that when you get incoming calls it wont turn on, so if i miss a call on silent by bln will tell me
What Kernel are you using?
I've had this problem off and on ever since we got Gingerbread. Stock ROM, custom ROM and every GB kernel posted here... I've come to believe it's a problem from the Google source code, similar to the one that cause people to lose/never get sms sometimes.
I think it's some kind of memory management problem... I've had it happen the most when playing a game or running resource intensive applications.

Okay, I'm running Stock, Rooted.
Randomly, when an incoming call rings, and I answer, the vibrator keeps going full blast throughout the entire call, I usually have to hang up and call them back.
"Hello?" BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ "Hey it's me" BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ "I need to call you back!"
Could this be due to something I have installed, or is it just another "feature" of our beloved G2x's?
You're not the only one. I've had that happen to me a couple of times too. Not very often but it's happened.
Happened to me too running eaglesblood froyo 105

Happend to me when I got the phone. Been a while since it's happened again.
It was stock and not rooted.

This is a pretty old thread, but it's the only one I could find. I experience this fairly frequently, using kwes' rooted 2.3.4 stock ROM. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it to stop vibrating during the call? TIA.
Running BAMF 3.0
My phone will ring, and the incoming call screen comes up with the green droid. However, the only option that pops up on the bottom is "End Call." Anyone have a similar issue?

I'm running Th3ory's GING3R3DTH3ORY V6.2 on mine and my wife's thunderbolt, and haven't had this problem. One thing I've heard mentioned is to make sure you turn off fast boot and then do a reboot. Otherwise try re-flashing after a full wipe.
I had the issue once and just powered down... Pulled the battery and put back in and rebooted has not happened since...

I have an odd problem. I'm running the latest Whitehawkx MIUI, and sometimes when I push the power button to use the phone, it will flash the unlock screen for a fraction of a second and then go to a black screen. Not that the screen is off, the LCD is running, but displaying black. I push power again, the screen loses power and goes to full black. I push it again, most of the time it works like it should. Sometimes it repeats the problem.
And good god, calls are almost unmanageable. The screen does not turn on when someone calls me, ever. I have to push power, wade through the flash-to-black, and then answer the call.
This has been happening on every version of MIUI I've run, I'm only now getting around to posting a thread about it now.
Bump

Yes I am... I never thought of that but it makes sense. I should note that I do not experience this problem on any other rom, just Miui.
I am going to disable set CPU and see if that improves anything though. It's a shame, Tasker can't modify the CPU on this phone, otherwise I'd just have it up the clock speed when a call is incoming.

If you have a screen off profile then it would kick in during a phone call when the screen goes off. I always set up a separate In Call profile for that very reason and give it a higher priority than the screen off profile.

I've already done exactly that, I'm more worried about being able to answer the call in the first place.

Hi guys,
I'm using Valhalla 1.1 ROM (2.3.4) with adrenaline shot X.
My ringtone is a 22 seconds mono MP3 located on my SD card.
When i get an incoming call - it starts quietly for 1.5-2 seconds and then
turns loud. I defined it to be the loudest.
I also noticed i get ringed after caller hears 3 calling tones (but maybe that's just fake tones, curtesy of my network supplier).
I searched the forums and couldn't find anything.
I'll appreciate your help.
Itzik.
Pretty sure that happens to a lot of us

That's normal on Gingerbread I believe. Never happened on Froyo, but since upgrading to GB, happens to me too.
I get the same... running GB Audiophile. Same ringtone I used on Froyo and it did not do it.
I actually kinda like it - when the phone is on my desk, I get a second to act before it jumps off the desk screaming at me.
Yes, I agree, it's nice to have a little delay so you don't bother everyone.

I learned to like it myself for the same reasons stated above.
Anyone else have an issue hanging up after a call? Sometimes it takes up to 30 seconds to end my calls it has happened on multiple roms. I'm on Wind mobile btw... Wondering if there is a fix or if that's just life with the g2x.
Pin it to Win it.
I've only had issues like that on stock 2.2 Froyo. Never had the issue since.
If you have a setcpu profile set for in-call, it happens. Try going into accesibility and enable power button end call to see if it helps hanging up.

More info needed. Rom? Kernel? It is helpful if everyone that has some quirky thing happen posts more details. No offense intended towards the op.
This has happened to me on a few different ROMs and turned out it was a memory issue. I deleted all of my music and woks like a dream again
+1 on the power to end call... love that feature
I have the same issue in CM 7.2 with trinity and faux. Doesn't bother me though.
EDIT: Actually, i just flashed the latest nightly and the bug is gone now.
