Hi,
Does anyone know if the HTC One S is ANT+ enabled?
I have contacted HTC support but as yet I have not had a reply.
Many thanks as always.
I'm also interested. Still no answer from HTC?
I doubt it is ANT+ compatible but I would be very interested to have that feature.
Looking at the specs for the One S, I don't see anything that says it has an ANT chip, so I would say no.
After searching a lot I think than HTC One S isn't compatible with Ant+ but is compatible with bluetooth smart with a 4.3 Android ROM.

Hi,
is it possible to use rSAP or SPA and activate in the firmware?
I want to use it with my car bluetooth.
Cheers
Any word on this?
Current model VW/Skoda/Audi only support rSAP profile, which is a royal pain.
rSAP
Hi,
got my new VW with the premium phone set. I've found on the german wikipedia the list of rSAP supporting phones. Most Nokia models seem to support it as the premium phone set is actually modified Nokia BT set. I also found that the rSAP is supported by all HTC except G1 and one other model. This got me thinking if it might be more software than hardware issue of android which might not support rSAP rather than the phone itself. Anyone got any ideas about it, cause I don't wanna change my phone to nokia as my network does not have any other HTC mobiles in offer.

I'm pretty sure you are right that it NOT a hardware issue as much as a firmware issue. The protocol has just not been developed for Android.
The reason: Infancy and lack of subscriber base at this time. Not many people in the grand scheme of things have Android and even fewer have rSAP devices AND Android. Both platforms would have to gain more popularity before support will develop. Sad but true.
Hello, I was wondering is OTG supported for my HTC Vivid AT&T smart phone? It's rooted, and any information you could give me about enabling OTG on the device would really be helpful, thank you for your time! Ps I took a look around and I can't find any information in the forms about this.
I want to buy a cardio monitoring chest belt. I only find "bluetooth smart" products, but it seems that the one mini bluetooth 4.0 is not "smart"...
Do I have to expect a compatibility issue ?
Do you know if since the OTA update to android 4.3, the bluetooth technology of the phone has became smarter ?
Thanks for your advices

My understanding is "smart" in this case means Bluetooth Low Energy [BLE]. Qualcomm SOC used inside our Mini doesn't support BLE. That said some Samsung and many Xperia phones support BLE (or maybe ANT directly) probably by the means of dedicated chip.
I have got myself Polar Wearlink Bluetooth (http://www.polar.com/en/products/accessories/Polar_WearLink_transmitter_with_Bluetooth) and it works well with the Mini.
The best way to get an answer is
Thanks for you answer. I think the best way is to test a "bluetooth smart" device.
Thats what I'm going to do, and I will feed you back.
theoretically after 4.3 smartbluetooth works , im flashing the 4.3 ROM later on today , Ill see if it works , I have a mio alpha watch .lets see if finally works with endomondo
Good news, our phone is smart !
OK guys, it works. Tested with Runalyzer Blue heart rate monitor, and with Runtastic app.
The connection is quickly established and steady.
The bluetooth chipset is compatible, and the upgrade to Andoïd 4.3 is mandatory.
Thanks for your replies.

I can't help you with what works and what doesn't because I have a samsung phone so everything works good on it. I don't think it really depends on which exact phone you are using, the real difference stands between Samsung phone and other phones. There is nothing sure but I feel confident that one day, XDA developpers will find a way to make Gear 2 compatible with every android phones.
I Know That The HTC 8X OS is WindowsPhone and there is no Hope to Pair the Gear2 With WindowsPhone , Im Also have a Lumia 1320 (WindowsPhone 8.1) and I Searched a Lot But i Cant Pair it
there is another way to use it only as a Bluetooth Headset but You Should remove all paired Devices on your Gear 2 (i saw a Thread in This Forum that someone can access bluetooth stack , or you can bypass first setup so your gear Isn't paired with any devices) then pair with your WindowsPhone !
