aosp? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

i keep running into aosp THEMED roms, but none that are actually aosp. there are always traces of touchwiz, which means they are built on the samsung framework, which is no good for my cause.
because we have the whole qualcomm thing going on, does that mean no aosp for us?

Just got an unofficial its not ready for dd though

The 0.3 kernel (now called rom racers kernel was there) everyone is not a noob just cause they have a valid question...I've had this phone since the week it came out in November, I've rooted devices from a Nook Color to a Super Pad, and all those in-between. I actually exchanged my 4S for a skyrocket..(best thing I ever did) Ive flashed every rom and tweak for this device. I just get sick of idiots trying to make ppl look stupid for asking a valid question on these forums..

i would have to agree with you. i haven't had the phone for nearly as long as you have but from browsing around xda (specifically gs2 and here) i have to notice that by comparison development is much slower in this section.
disclaimer: this is by far not a complaint, just an observation. i love the development that IS currently taking place and am very appreciative of it.

I think dev work is kinda slow on alot of phones right now. I know it has slowed down on my nexus s because a lot of them are waiting for the new sources of ICS to be released. A lot of the developers are doing great work. I think once ICS rolls out it will take off. IMHO.

I feel pretty good about what we have now. ICS will come eventually, who knows when exactly but it will come. I have two other android phones and a tablet that all run ICS very smoothly. But I still choose this gingerbread runnin beast everyday over all the others. In my humble opinion, there will definitely be some frowning faces on the day ICS is officially released for our device.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Honestly its all just hype. ICS will come out and within 6 months we will be jumping to the next firmware. I think the community should put more focus on fully customizing and enjoying the capabilities of gingerbread. I really don't think we will be satisfied otherwise. That's why devs get turned off to making ROMs. They make something awesome and we use it for a week and then want more. So much greed!

CM9/10?

I've searched and search, but I see nothing about CM development for the 'Bolt for ICS or JB. Has anyone picked up that torch yet? Has it been deemed too large of a project, or just no interest? And of course, if I've missed something, please feel free to give me a swift kick to the head.

I think (could be wrong) a device needs a stable build to get a subforum on their site. For example, the Nexus 7 doesn't have a forum there either, but you can bet your ass it's getting official CM10 (as I'm running the nightlies on my N7 now). The TB is going to be tricky because it has never had any official CM build - someone from the team is going to have to sign up to be the maintainer, and start doing what is required to get nightlies going.
I still have my suspicions about getting official CM - I think more likely is you'll have a situation similar to gingerbread where slayher, workshed, and the others at least get an "unofficial" CM working, which is really as good as the "real thing" anyway. Either way someone is taking CM source and doing what's needed to make it run on the Bolt.

Yeah, and acting like a complete ass is a great way to get that accomplished.
Some people won't ever read the rules. Get over it and act like a decent human being.

I like your answer but lets get back to the topic on hand. I agree with what was stated earlier, that it should come out in around a week my rasoning is not only the huge changelog on cm10 that is available to read but also cm9 has gone from nightly's to weekly's. Though the last one was alittle more than a week. And than look how stable the unofficial roms are getting. Anyone else agree if so why? While it may an "other jb rom" vincom's CM10 superlite will show you exactly what the cm10 nightly will be like (minus some of the extraneous fluss - not that there's much of that on cyanogen roms).
To be truthful, cm10 is more of an incremental improvement but it's heading the right way...

[REQUEST] Stock JB Smart Stay & Smart Rotate

Been Running the JB 4.1.2. Stock Leak from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2038585 for the last two weeks now. It appears to have most of the same stuff as the S3 and it runs great, but I just realized there's no Smart Stay or Smart Rotate. Would be nice to have if someone could get their hands on it, mod it and release it. Thanx!
