HELP..... cant read or send messages...

i just started reading ur forum yesterday.. and installed the advanced configuration tool.. did a few tweaks in messaging.... (enable sent message and delivery).. now i cant read messages... as soon as i press the sms tab... it launches touch flo again and again....
plz help......

You need to tell us which Rom you are using, when did the problem occur (i.e. after a flash or always since purchase). Also, you should do a proper search once you have narrowed down the Rom and/or other specifics. Do the search in one of <<THESE THREADS>>

how do i find out the ROm version... ??? it started happening after i installed config manager and tweaked sms settings a little.. now i think my touch flo is also not performing properly.... do you think i should do a factory reset??

i just hard reset my cell fone.... dint have a lot of data anyways..... thanxx...

Go to Start>Settings>System>Device Info.>Software Info.

[Q] Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL - issue in GB 2.3.6 Update

MODEL NUMBER: GT-I9003
FIRMWARE VERSION: 2.3.6
BASEBAND VERSION: I9003JXKP3
KERNEL VERSION: 2.6.35.7-CL982987 [email protected] #1
BUILD NUMBER: GINGERBREAD.JPKPH
i have update my galaxy sl mobile in to above specification.
but after that sometime mobile is automatically restarting and iterating samsung splash screen untill i restart the mobile. once i restarted my all the data in SD card, contact no, sms are deleted. settings are reset into default. this thing happen to me 2 tyms. plz tell me is it a issue with my newly installed rom.. if so wat can i do.. thankz

try factory reset once..
if still issue is repeating then freshly flash a new firmware.. it shud rectify the issue..

I don't think u can install new ROM using kies., except for firmware update..
U will have to use odin to flash new firmware..

i did the factory reset , itz work fine for a 1 day but nw still the same issue continuing.
my galaxy sl comes with Android Froyo and throught the samsung kies i update to Android 2.3.6.. after that i face this issue

Are your contacts disappearing?
If so that's unfortunately a known problem, your internal memory is corrupt and needs to be replaced, go to the service center.

yeap.. my contact and sms are vanish.. i use the gmail sync contact list. but once it restarted it already automatically formatted my SD card.. but application and themes which i installed will remain as same.. and setting to be set to default..
wat do u mean by internal memory.. is it a sd card or ??

your phones internal sd card.. not the memory card.. go to samsung service center n get it checked..

ok.. i ll go samsung service center 2moro to check it. but when i connect to PC i can access my internal memory as well as memory card too

can u guyz giv me da link of good customer roms which i can rooted into samsung galaxy i9003. and itz really helpful if there is any link to do it through odin.. thankz

Xxkpq n ddkp3 r good stock roms.. It's ma personal opinion.. U
Can find them in the development section.. There is also guides on how to flash ROM using odin just in case..

yday i updated my firmware in to " DDKP3 Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware -I9003DDKP3_I9003ODDKPI_I9003DDKP4 " through Odin3 but still the issue is continuing and yet unable to go to service center and planing to visit there on thursday.

Thank u very much all of u guyz for helping to fix my phone. Finally day before yday i got my mobile back from da samsung service center. They said they replace da main board due to some issue. Really happy.. Finally my mobile is working good.

IMPORTANT! Use ONLY the files linked to in this OP. The other files mentioned throughout this thread do not work.
*** At present this mod requires a DEODEXED ROM to work. If you are running stock it will not function properly. BaDaB!ng505 is working on an ODEXED version.

Is it a modified Note 2 keyboard or the Note 10.1 keyboard? Do the 2 look the same?

So just flash this in recovery? If this works you are my hero for life.
Will make a bak file of my current Samsung Keyboard first just in case.

Nope sadly it isn't working.
Keyboard comes up but does not accept key presses. It then crashes altogether.

edit..i will get back to you asap...been testing it for like hr and everything was good, i would not post on my rom thread if it was a no-go from me ..let me go back and make a new one

How did you flash yours? I see the new SamsungIME.apk in the system/app folder and all permissions are correct so it should work but doesn't. Can you check and see if it is working and autocorrecting wen used in S-Notes?

Ugh, still doesn't work for me. Keyboard appears but keys take no input and eventually it crashes.

does keyboard show up? or the mic ?

Yeah the keyboard shows up, just nothing happens when i click on it. Maybe there is something in your rom that makes it work? I'll try flashing your rom. Maybe you could build it in?

This is utterly bizarre. I even flashed your rom and still when I open the Samsung keyboard it appears but when I click the letters literally nothing happens until it crashes after about 10 seconds. This is after a full wipe and flash. I just flashed the stock rom with no adjustments.
So something in the way you flashed your copy - maybe a pimp adjustment you made - is the missing piece in this. Can you think of something you added in your flash that might be making it work for you? Its DOA for me.

If this doesn't work for you I suggest you Odin your device back to 4.0 Ics firmware not xxma3 4.1.2....cuz something is definitely wrong or missing with your device

By "romantic" I assuming that was a typo and you mean "rom"?
So what you are saying is just do full wipe then reflash your rom, then flash the zips? Did that and still have the problem. I am guessing there is some line of code missing somewhere in my base. Will ODIN back to ICS as you suggested and try again.
Do you have a link to the ICS .tar by the way?

Ok, I officially give up.
I went back to an ICS base, scrubbed everything 5 times, flashed 4.1.2 and then your .zip files. Keyboard still will not respond and crashes. I have NO idea what is wrong and why this works for you and not for me but it will not work for me no matter what i try. Sucks.
The weird part is that the keyboard actually appears, it just won't accept touches.

try flashing original kp first ...reboot..then flash mod kp afterwards..for me all i had to do was flash the mod kp and everything worked
wierd it should work...type cant ,space to see if auto correct

Help: handwriting freezes the tablet, then crashez.

It used to work fine for the first 2 days... I am on the latest italian official from sammobile ( april)...
Every time I press the hand writing button ...the keyboard freezes...as well as the tablet.....then crashes...might be conflicts with other keyboards I have installed ?
Any help or suggestion is much appreciated,! Thank you

Uninstall other keyboards... See if it works then add 1 keyboard at a time... If you believe its an app, remove it. If its not you can always re-install the app...

I did uninstall some apps ,but no luck . I had to do a factory reset. it fixed it for the moment . But it is not the first time it happened . . thanks ,

1st rule of troubleshooting though, If you install an app, leave it for about a day before installing any more.. If the problem arises again you know which app is the cause...

Dear all,
I sincerely seek help into my rooted device, SM-T211.
It was working fine until today, which I found out that the google play store is not working. It was represented as loading but not connected. When I retry, nothing works. Thus I looked online and they asked me to clear the cache and data at setting > apps.
I did but it didn't work for me...
Another solution arises and suggest me to factory reset.
Being a awful noob I reset it.
So the device woke up WITHOUT A KEYBOARD. (I deleted it...)
So I connected it to the computer and downloaded swiftkey. At least I've a keyboard now!
BUT. Under settings > add account > google is not working. not loading not prompting me to add account. Like the selection was not available.
Yes, the google play store is still not working.
Although I'm able to download the games and apps by other means but not having my account logged on means I cannot purchase anything from the store, not even using Freedom.
This is so bad, please help me!

Well, I recently find out I had the same problem as you, and im glad I found this so I wont post a new thread again... I already did deleting the cache even the data and I dont care If I deleted it... and also try reinstalling it... delete the account , and when I add a existing account then fill up the forms then click next, and it says " cant establish a reliable connection to the server" .. even though im fully connected to our wifi.. so pls. Anyone whats the problem with the paly store? And also im using droidwall, but ofcourse I enable playstore and other google services... any other way than try factory reset?

Omygod! Hello, its me again.. I actually solved it
So if you please can you try to search a app in google search then click the link and select browser rather than selecting the play store .. then it will open a new tab and it must be looks like this:
Then if you have the same problem like mine...
To solve this, make sure you have the current date and time set, then wahla! It solved mine, I really dont notice that my date and time was wrong !

My page loaded on the internet explorer just as it's supposed to... The time was correct.. But still I wanna thank you for your help! XD

Go to sammobile.com register and then click firmares then search for your model download it extract it to get the tar file put your device into download mode place the tar file you extracted I to the ap section connect the device wait for it to say your contacted and then press start and wait for it to finish

Hey there! Thanks a lot for your help and advice and I tried it out, it worked! But unfortunately I wasn't able to find the correct file for this device... I ended up choosing the one for my country because the website don't have the baseband version of this device...
My device baseband version is T211XXAMFN
Was working well until again the connection failed at play store again... I think is device is beyond hope now T. T :'(

Hello! I finally figured it out! At first it was not working even clearing the cache, data and even force stopped the Google play store. But after using the root Explorer I was able to use play store by going into root Explorer > etc > host and add a # to the ip address... I still want to thank you all for helping me!
