Really urgent calendar sync problem - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I was wondering if anyone out there has suffered and resolved the following issue.
I have a Sensation which is running ICS version 4.0.3 and software number 3.32.401.5 the ROM I’m currently using is found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1529941 the deodexed version.
I use this phone for work and up until 2 weeks ago everything was working without issues but for some unknown reason all of a sudden, HTC Sync has stopped working. I’m now unable to Sync my work calendar to my phone and since the office are often updating my diary via a CRM package I need these changes to be reflected on my phone. I know it’s not the HTC Sync program, as I have the sync software installed on 3 machines. My home laptop, my work laptop and my work desktop and the phone no longer syncs to any of them. I’ve installed and reinstalled (and before anyone asks antivirus was turned off), still no joy.
Does anyone one know what might have gone wrong or does anyone know of a different app or program I can use to update the calendar? I did try Google calendar sync but that just didn’t sync, no matter what sync interval I used.
I must add I’m only trying to get my outlook appointments to show up on my phone I don’t need a 2 way sync solution.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice given.

Active Sync not allowing calendar synchronization

Please help.
I have an XDA2i and I'm running Active Sync 4.2.0. When I try to sync, everything works fine, except I cannot select calander as a sync option with my XDA. Where I would normally go into options and check the box for calendar, there is no check box.
This is really starting to do my nut in as I've tried creating a new profile but the problem follows the profile. Any suggestions would be mostly appreciated.
Thanks
Have you got a default calendar set-up in outlook?
Yes...it used to work. It suddenly stopped allowing any synchronization, that's when I created a new profile for the XDA2i and updated to 4.2 but it will now not synchronize Calendar. It will sync the Contacts & tasks but the most important thing for my work is the Calendar.
Thanks
Calander problem and other queries
Hi I have had an xda2i in the past and it all worked fine with the Calander. This week my newer model xdamini S broke down so I turned to the replacment xda2i i had been sent when the other one packed up and I just cant get it to recognise the calander. Its just not in the list. As you say contacts etc is there but Calander is not. The strange thing is when setting up connection you can choose to sync with calander, contacts etc which I select only to find that once the sync occurs Calander is just not in the list. Can anyone you had anyone help solving this?? Im using outlook 2003. Also the xda2i im using has not got the latest drivers I have looked for them on the 02 site but they dont seem to be their anymore. Finally, what does the radio version do anyway? Help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Right then....
...The only workaround I have managed to find is simple...
1) Remove the ActiveSync software and all pairings
2) Hard Reset the XDA2i (yes, that means everything is lost is nothing has sync'd)
3) Re-install ActiveSync and recreate the partnership again.
It seems drastic, but since doing that the XDA2i now functions perfectly. Hope this helps some people (I'm reluctant to try anything like this on my new Mini S cos I can't get it to partner up at all..but that's another thread )

Market Gmail contact sync issues

I installed the gmail update that was in the market. Since I installed it, my contacts have not synced with gmail. I noticed my phone was not sleeping and started looking and I found that the google contacts were not syncing but would try and after a few minutes it would get this error message:
Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly
This has been happening for 7 days and after the sync fails it trys again and prevents the phone from sleeping. I have tried removing this update and I have been unable to. The only solution I know is to wipe the data and flash the rom again. Is anybody else having this issue?
I am on a stock ROM and i still get stupid issues revolving around Gmail. The giant POS keeps my phone trying to sync all day, so I use ATK to simply kill Gmail, then go into running applications and stop the sync.
It is VERY annoying.
I did some more testing and here is the strange thing. The mail and calendar sync with no problems. It is just the contact sync that causes this error. I made a change to a contact while logged into gmail on my pc. I enabled the contact sync and after a little while it gave me that error. However it did sync the contact and change I made on the pc was reflected in the contact now on my Evo. So I did it the other way and changed a contact on the Evo and synced again. After getting the error message I checked the contact on my pc and the change was there. So the contacts are syncing but something is not telling the evo that the sync was completed properly. Anybody have any ideas what is causing all of this? I have to leave it disabled for the contacts if I want my phone to sleep.
Though I have encountered the same problem as described but I would like to eliminate the connection issue first. My interest is to sync contact from gmail to phone (a Samsung Galaxy S with Android 2.1). Normally I will not use 3g (GPRS is too expensive in this part of the world) but connecting thru wifi. I am very sure the connection is thru as I am able to access my gmail account thru the phone browser. I then get to phone menu and start syncing (setting, sync) but got the "sync is currently experiencing........" error message. My question is whether there is any restriction that sync must go thru 3g (GPRS) connection or not.

I have tried it connected via wifi, 3G, and 4G. For me it didn't matter what connection I was using I still get that sync error when syncing the contacts.
Well I thought everything was fine until today. I noticed my awake time was once again the same as the up time. I got to looking and not it appears as if the google calendar is hanging on the sync. It does not give an error like the contacts does but the sync icon never goes away. I unchecked it from the sync and the phone is sleeping again. I don't know what is going on. Time to factory reset and flash the rom again.
Same issue. I've flashed several different roms in the last few days. Any rom that has the updated Gmail app is causing my contacts to "loop" in the sync and eventually give me the "currently experiencing" error message with lovely "!" (thanks, needed that). Older versions work fine.
Here's the wierd part...
I added a contact online and it still synced perfectly to the phone.
I added a contact to the phone and it showed up online.
THUS - I believe this is a phantom error message.
Hope that helps. I'm annoyed myself. I wanna update but keep running my old backup since sync isnt an issue with the older gmail.
Slightly off topic, but task killers are completely worthless, especially on Froyo.

I believe the error message is invalid as well. But it keeps the phone from sleeping because it keeps trying to sync. The only fix is to enable it, sync, then disable the contacts from syncing. Has anybody been able to find out any information as to what is going on with it? I was wondering if it is something that we can report as a bug to either htc or google.

[Q] Can’t sync with Microsoft exchange server after official ICS 4.0.3 update

On 2.3.4 my Exchange sync worked perfect, but after I got the 4.0.3 OTA installed I keep getting a message saying something about certain policies needs to be activated. The first time I OK’ed that, I got my SD card encrypted put the following times nothing happens, just a new sync error with the same policy message.
Maybe my exchange server requires a policy which is not supported on my phone (but why did it work on 2.3.4 – has some policies been removed in 4.0.3? Probably not!). To examine which policies are required, I tried the *#*#36245#*#* trick to enable the sync log, but that doesn’t seem to work on HTC Sensation (After typing the last *, the text field is cleared and no dialog is shown as expected).
I have tried to re-create the account, but same result.
Please help me fix this or provide a hint on how to debug
Thanks!
Contact HTC/Microsoft and see what they say
HTC Help: Remove battery and SIM card for 10 minutes. Didn't help :-(
Other ideas on how to trouble shoot this?
Does anybody know how to enable the log for Exchange Sync on HTC Sensation? (*#*#36245#*#* doesn't seem to work)
Thanks!
Contact Microsoft and see what they say
Hi,
You can try to re create the account without the sd installed.
Alternatively if you are rooted you can search the forum for the apks of the gingerbread rom security disabled.

Me too. The SD card is unlikely to be the culprit. I upgraded my Note to 4.0.3 DXLP5. Ten minutes after I noticed a flaw in connecting to Corporate Exchange Server. Because I use the phone to access work emails, I consider this a very serious flaw. After the upgrade, I had to use my other Android phone to access work emails. The Note is now handling all purely personal Google mails.
Flaw Observation:
Connection configuration to Exchange server was successful with expected security acknowledgement from server. Everything looks ok. However, sync did not seem to have taken place. The email app opened and stuck at loading emails. Zero Outlook emails, zero Contacts, and zero Calendar entry. And absolutely zero error message.
I'm having a similar issue. A few weeks after the official upgrade to ICS, the sync with my calendar stopped working. After playing with the sync settings a little, I did a hard reset and the calendar sync started working again.
But now, about 2 weeks after the hard reset, I have the same issue. Email and contacts are syncing with no problems but the calendar isn't.
I'm wondering if it could be an app I've installed that's causing the issue? Any suggestions?
I'm using a Sensation XE in Singapore on Singtel, syncing with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
Android 4.0.3
HTC Sense 3.6
Kerenel version 3.0.16-gda3fdfc
Hi There,
We have the same problem here (Hungary, T-Mo) on several HTC Sensation XE. Hope somebody will find a solution for this.

Exchange auth
I've received the same instructions however I also receive an item in the notifications bar asking me to activate the security policy. Essentially, it forces you to have a pin set up on your phone - pattern is not acceptable. I've done this and gotten it working for me, nothing needed to be done with the sd card
good luck

Sync?

Hello, just bought the HTC one mini, great phone. My calendar doesn't seem to sync with Facebook. Is everyone facing the same problem?
Sent from my HTC One mini using xda app-developers app
Hi all. It seems I am experiencing the same issue since a few days now, and I cannot seem to find the root cause at all.
For some strange reason, Facebook and Google won't sync, and I keep getting this sync error all the time.
I use Google Calendar Sync program on my laptop, so that I can sync my Outlook calendar with the Google calendar, and everything works fine, and worked fine when I initially installed it, seeing my outlook meetings also on my phone.
I have no idea what I could have done on the phone to get this sync error. The accounts are right and have the correct passwords. And, also, if I log on to my Google calendar on my laptop after syncing it using the above software, I can see the synced meetings from Outlook.
I have also attached some screenshots. If anybody has any idea it would be great. I don't want to reset my phone.
So I managed to get the Google sync solved by removing and re-adding it, everything syncs fine, for now at least
But Facebook calendar just won't sync at all. I removed and re-added the account several times, rebooted the phone but still nothing. The app cannot be un-installed as it is built in. Anyway, I un-installed the updates and re-updated the app, and no results.
It is really not much big of a deal not having the birthdays of my facebook friends in the calendar, but still, I don't understand why it won't sync.
If somebody faced the same problem, any suggestions would be much appreciated.
