glad to see new roms here for the g1! even if theyre just modified version of other roms i love seeing this! keep it up - will flash when i have a spare moment

great job!!
nice...
DOWNLOAD LINK IS BROKEN!!

Cool
Nice, but I probably wont install as its another cyanogenmod base rom, which means broken movie player (where the sound and video goes messed up half way through)
Edit : Well, I might flash to do a review of it, I'm trying to get through all htc g1 roms, and give them scores.

If your planing on doing a list of rom reviews get in touch with frankdrey, he and I were starting that as well but gave up for the time being. As for cm based roms I don't have the issue on the g1, on the few I tested for video streaming. Can't recall which ones I ever had issues like that on

Hmmm, well that's strange, absolutely every rom that is cm based for me has this issue.
Its like when then video reaches a certain point, the video restarts but the sound keeps going.
Ok, I will get in touch with him. I was going to make videos for every rom, as I know that when people want to get a rom they always would like to see a video of it but sometimes can't. I know how annoying that can be. So maybe instead of me making a channel on my own we could all get together and make channel for the 3 of us, then we could all upload videos of certain roms and rate them.

Download link is working for me but @blaster44 man you should change the text color cuz is hard to read the text and background are almost the same color

Its always nice to see any development re the magic (thanks for all your work) so had to try this rom.
Easy install and nice features. I've installed ics theme and am now having reboots and launcher fc's unfortunately.

Gracias,ya encontre el link de descarga!!

downloaded and flashed.it is beautiful, but i wonder whether the apps could be installed to sd-ext.

Thanks for this great rom but I got a problem. It's laggy while scrolling between home screens, any ideas ? I've tried changing scrolling speed in ADWsettings but no luck.
And I think Play Store is too much for G1, it's slow and fc sometimes.
Everything else is fine, really fast and smooth
Edit: Enable "use 16bit transparency" in CM settings should fix it Now it's perfect !!

Updated OP to new build
Looks good dphase, but please spend the time on the sense rom
I am going to test this out extensively. Thanks dphase.
Great job!! Its amazing! Only thing i have encountered was the camera was "Not installed" along with the calender... but i rarely use either of them Amazing ROM
EDIT: After uninstalling them... they both showed up as working.... Haha, strange. But, disregard my errors

Exact same thing happened to me. It was like the icon was hiding under the other one.
Just found out and about 2 other people have this issue, the notifications light (led) sometimes stays on. I did a reboot and it went away. And yes it wasn't plugged in at the time and I had no notifications.

Ya, my LED stays on constantly now after charging. Just did a reboot. Im going to power it off and try again. Ill post whatever i get.
One more bug that I have found, and is a known issue on other Miui roms I believe.
Setting your Video Camera to 720p will force close, and your unable to use it again until you clear the data/cahce. I believe the guys over at the DInc have fixed this..

this rom is really really sweet. i like it a lot. it runs smooth. some bugs (you already know about them) but i have to say, i got rid of my iphone a few years ago, and havent gone back for a reason. as much as i like this rom, im not down with the UI. that said, here are the things i DID like
dedicated dock at bottom of screen was nice to have again. Home screen editing was really nice actually. I really enjoyed the way that worked. the speed was incredible. spot on with cyanogen. good job so far on this rom dphase. im impressed.
No joke this is the best one all others crash a lot. Keep it up your on the right track.
I like the MIUI roms... they are INSANELY fast to use and goodlooking too... I really like what they did to the lockscreen for one.
But i need my firepower... i got a sense Desire HD rom with quadrant score up to 1800!!!
how insane is that?!
Lets get more people using this ROM, we need to work out the bugs to get this working perfect
I'm liking this except for the lack of screen rotation. Has anyone else had an issue with the camera where it won't let you do anything after taking a picture until you take another picture?

[ROM][DEVELOPMENT][15/02/12] ThiaiZO3D Spectrum morph

This is a project to mix and port LG Spectrum + LG Nitro HD ROM to our LG O3D.I haven't got myself very far still, just started to play with it yesterday. As you guys can see, there is a lot of work to do and I need help. It is still buggy slow, but Launcher rolls much smoother than our LGHome one. The ROM is mixed with my V0.2 right now, but the idea is to use as much as possible from the other devices framework.
If you want to help, just if you really want to help, send me a PM and I will send you a link about my progress.
This is how it looks like:
Video day 1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_05Sjc5ONwE
Video day 2:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn0cRk1kUT0&feature=youtu.be
TO DO LIST ON POST 2
To do list:
-Make new LGHome2.apk to load the app drawer.
-Make new LGHome2.apk to load widgets.
-I guess there is a USB Host drivers in the system dump.Have to investigate it and make get it to work on O3D
-Keep porting the rest of the system to our O3D
Reserved to me 2.
well...its looks really cool
best of luck on this....i hope you manage to work it out
thanx again for your continuous hard work man
looks promising,
It looks very good actually. Minimal lag there IA what I saw. And I noticed the important essentials are working, phone, wick. Wasn't able to obviously see if you got the GPS or data to work or even Bluetooth but definitely seems very promising my friend. Really good job bro.

Updated the first page with a new video + 2nd post with a small to do list for those who want to help.
I think this is the way to go, as you guys can see it is way smoother than our launcher
Great work man..I can see much difference and more smoothness in this launcher..u think it's gonna be OK to use at the end??wish it would..
still can't downloaded?

When I get at least app drawer to load the app list. It is crazy how the launcher still very smooth even with the 7 screens totally full with widgets. Cant understand why LG havent released an small OTA update just with this new Launcher to us.
We can't understand a lot of LG's doing... Thank god we have a few devs onboard. Maybe LG should try to buy some devs too. Good luck with the launcher.

great work dear ThiaiZ..
i've a suggestion.. give it some animations.. when opening or closing windows or moving from one to another.. opening and closing launcher menu or unlocking animations.. it would be
perfect if it take pace!
ThiaiZ, What news about your disk? And whether there will be in him something new except the house screen. I am the admirer of your disks, but last 2.5 very astable in comparison with yours 2.4 (but there video record not so good) I am sorry for my English, I write from the translator
Nice to hear something about USB Host. Hopefully it work

Question for anyone who's using an ICS rom

I was thinking of jumping onto an ICS rom since they seem to have ironed out loads of bugs. Anyway, I have a question.
When you get a message and your phones screen is off, usually it's displayed on the lockscreen with the contact image in a little box window thing (at least on sense) anyway my question is this. Is this also on the ICS roms, if so are the contact images finally at a decent resolution or are they still the same old blurry pixilated cluster**** they've always been? thanks!
Same old Rubbish, google are supposedly working on it......

well if your looking a ICS just look around for a good one
im using tab-mod v.4 ICS and its amazing everything is working absolutely everything, however someimtes not allot actaully rare but the rom can freeze when playing system straining games like modern combat 3 or gta III, other than that its amazing
though blindice 5.4 looks good but il never try it, it does have some bugs like most ICS roms
if you like ill give a list with links on the best ICS roms and how bugish free they are that i have used

JoyOS and MeekOS

A little about me: I am no developer, but I do like to learn about programming and android related stuff.
I saw the guide for these ports on the main xda page and decided to give it a go. I havent changed anything about the roms at all. They are straight ports.
LewaOS is working pretty darn well. maybe even better than miui!
Might have to restart for data to work though.
Wipe was necessary for me to get it to boot up. I recommend it for you.
AND! you will need to flash latest gapps.
JoyOS is working, but extremely laggy in some parts. Launcher for ex.

That would be fine, this is my first port ever. Not like I did much but it's a start.
I didn't try to update the other one since it was too buggy, but it might be because of the base rom maybe?
I'll give it a try. I like the status bar with those icons better anyways. I just need to learn how to port that to the LeWas rom.
Edit: Where did you get the base rom for the JoyOS? All I get is a forum where I need to register.
Good ports
Joy Os:
I noticed it was very sluggish. The camera was experiencing weird issues too. It works but the camera button doesn't show. Instead there are black boxes and its hard to explain. It makes the camera unusable. Data also doesn't work. It boots and runs without crashes so that's a start! I'm just trying to test and report as much as possible to help you out. Nice port.
Lewa Os:
SPEEED. This rom is incredible. Performs better than MIUI 2.2.25 so far. I like this a lot. Data works fine, camera works good, looks pretty nice. Good port! I like it so far. Will report back if I experience any bugs.
I'm currently working on my port, I noticed that I couldnt update the quickpic alas gallery on the rom. Also I want to deodex it.
Anyone else running this version? You need the new basebad for it.

As for joy os, you might be on to something with the sluggishness being related to the base. Ill look into that later.

I think support for live-wallpaper can be added easily, I just didnt add it cause I don't use them. I'm thinking on updating it soo, any problems reported that I can fix I will. Currently setting up a virtual machine with windows unless someone shows me how to edodex easily from linux.
Edit: I got support for live-wallpaper, added the default from CM7.2 also. Added Gallery3D until I solve the quickpic bug. Uploading soon.
Edit2: Some apps just forceclose, I'm going to remove them and replace them for CM ones.
Edit3: Filemanager changed to CM, camera changed to cm, priot update was working but some visual mistakes, calendar from CM added, before I coudlnt sync the calendar and it was in chinese anywyas, some other changes that scape my mind.
Should I open a new thread for this particular port?

Thanks, glad you're enjoying the ROM
Just a couple of questions, so I hope you see this because I haven't posted ten times yet...
#1 no American or Canadian English setting (on initial setup, and under language settings)
#2 where's the Beats Audio?
Still love it, though. Noticeable difference in speed without background apps, and much better internal storage. Also, mildly improved battery life.

It's based on the stock EU ROM, so no, there's no American or Canadian English. I could add them but it'd add to the size of the system or no real reason. I'm sure you can live with the Queen's English
The Beats Audio doesn't show up anywhere in the UI, it just works its magic in the background. I even notice a difference when I use it with my cheap £20 eBay headphones so I know it's working
If you've seen other ROMs with the Beats Audio showing up as a setting on the UI, that's probably because they have the Music app from ROMs of newer phones. I might see if I can get that ported to my ROM now, come to think of it. Thanks for that idea
P.S. to further improve battery life, go to your sound settings and turn off all the sensor based stuff if you haven't already, that makes quite a difference!
Hmmm...haven't noticed a difference with my 20 buck Panasonics, or in my car, though that's with an FM transmitter (a good one, though).
I guess I'll live with the Queen's English, though the patriotic side of me cringes, eh?...
Weird, maybe it depends on the music you listen to. Stuff with heavy bass sounds better at least
God save our gracious Queeeeen
I just tried to stick the /system/apps folder from a Sensation XE onto my ChaCha... The ChaCha didn't like it too much. I'll experiment more later, see what I can get working. Looking around the XE ROM, there's certainly stuff here which shows whether or not Beats is working in the actual UI, so I might add some of that in if it plays nice with the ChaCha.

Glad to hear that. Ur ROM was my 1st ROM i installed after Root this device.
Original ROM is good for user who have less experience in Android or someone love Sense UI of HTC. CM7 is only good for Tech guys.
Stock ROM feel on CM7?
I have been using Chacha for almost half year now, and I like it to core. Have tried almost all ROMs so far. CWM's backup/restore functionality is pure bliss. At times when your hands are itchy, go ahead, mess up your system, do all your experiments. When done, just restore and you are back to your normal mood! Excellent!!
About the ROMs, I try them a lot, but finally do settle down to ROMs based on stock, as my daily ROMS. These are ROMS which I try my own with some experimental versions, or ones available here like from Hexgore . The reason is, there are quite a bunch of apps on Stock ROMS which are perfectly tuned for Chacha's small screen, and hence I find them more efficient than other alternative apps. Here are apps I find too good and difficult to part from.
Mail App
Dialer App
Messages App
I agree that there would be a lot better apps (like K9 for mail). But the easy of bigger icons, easy to tap organization of icons, just make be feel to stay with this mail app.
Now, coming to point, Will it be possible to get these apps work in non-Stock environment. Similar to Gapps package, if we can get to package these apps, it will be great.
I myself, will try these experiments one by one, and report my observations. But just would like to know if there are any like-minded people like me. Please comment. Thanks.
