[Q] HTC Rezound vs. HTC Droid Incredible 4G - General Questions and Answers

So what I am basically asking is overall comparing both phones which one looks better?
Here is a list of a couple of specs:
Incredible 4G,
Screen: 4-inch qHD LCD screen
Processor: 1.2GHz dual-core processor, S4
RAM: 1GB
Camera: 8-megapixel rear, VGA front
OS: 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0
Resolution: 540 x 960 pixels, 275 ppi
Battery: 1700 mAh
Memory: Internal 8GB, up to 32GB microSD
Size: 2.4 x 4.8 x 0.46 inches
Weight: 4.66 ounces
Rezound
Screen: S-LCD capacitive touchscreen
Processor: Dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion
RAM: 1GB
Camera: 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED flash, 2 MP Front
OS: Android OS, v2.3.4, HTC Sense v3.5 UI
Resolution: 720 x 1280 pixels, 4.3 inches (~342 ppi pixel density)
Battery: 1620 mAh
Memory: Internal 16GB, up to 32GB MicroSD
Size: 129 x 65.5 x 13.7 mm
Weight: 6.00010 ounces
So what do you guys think? I am sure that more specs would be available later on.

I would prefer Incredible 4G

Just a few corrections, the display is S-LCD on the Incredible 4G (Perhaps even S-LCD2? Since the specs were quite vague, and didn't even mention the S4 processor), and it has 8gb internal memory.
I would rather take the Incredible 4G, mainly because it's ICS based, and it's lighter/thinner than the Rezound. The Rezound is a brick lol. I also like the 4" screen. You might want to add on that the camera that it has ImageSense, which is a new camera chip used in the One Series (and presumably this device). The camera on the One Series has been described as "near perfect", so looking forward to that.

Imo I would take the rezound. Better screen resolution and processor. ICS doesn't matter because the rezound is bound to get an update anyway sooooo yyyeaa

I can't find any compelling reason to not go Rezound. it's $200 less, the screen is truly magnificent, and moar megahertz!
if ICS is a must-have right now, then wander on over to the development section and find the latest CleanROM. lean, stable, and fast

The processor is not better on the Rezound. It's clocked at 1.5ghz on an S3, but the Inc4g is clocked at 1.2ghz on the S4. The S4 is a significant improvement over the S3 and should help a lot with battery life and performance.
What the inc4g has going for it:
S4 processor (LTE on-chip)
4" screen (if you like that size)
NFC
Much better battery life
Thinner
Lighter
ICS out of the box
Sense 4.0
3 capacitive button layout
Better camera (ImageSense)
Also it will not be priced at 299$, that was left over from the Droid Razr Maxx template the Dinc4G page was based from. It'll likely be priced 149$ to 199$. Possibly even as low as 99$.

Leaning toward the incredible 4G, I do wish it had a better pixel density. But with a lower clock and smaller screen, I can definitely see the incredible getting a better battery life.
But until its out and I try it for myself, I am undecided,
Also, the Rezound is a brick, especially when coming from the original incredible.

I almost forgot the incredible had a next gen processor...its kind of like my G2 how it was underclocked to 800 mhz but was an uprgade processor model from qualcomm at the time...

"Behold brilliance on the large 4" super LCD qHD display, on a device that still fits right in your hand"
That says S-LCD

When will XDA give the INC 4G it's own forum to talk about it? Both the Rezound and DInc original forums have some threads about it.

Rezound
Go for the Rezound - it has a bigger, better screen, and it's supposedly going to have ICS around May 9th. If you can save a bunch of money AND get an ICS device with better internals, then I see no reason to get the Incredible.

honestly the incredible 4g have the s4 over s3 that only advantage most of us here are rooting our device anyway so i dont think ics is big factor. As most of users in xda developers come here to remove the apps or overclock and so on reasons.

[Q] HTC HD7S vs Samsung Focus

Tired out waiting for dual cores to come out for WP7...and I have been waiting to get a new phone for several months now.
So I was kind of curious, the HD7S is $150 more than the Focus. Besides a slightly larger screen, are there any other differences between these two, or are you just paying more for the HTC brand name?

HTC name and it's newer.
I saw the HD7S for $49 briefly @ att.com now it's back to $149. Still the Focus is the better phone still due to 4" super amoled screen and larger battery (1550 mah). If you want to play around with microsd cards it's also capable of more storage and has faster built in nand memory than the HTC devices.
Sept 1 mango press blackout life should reveal more devices, i expect the HD7S to come down in price regardless. The only reason to get the HD7S imho would be if the 4.3" screen is necessary visually or for typing.
Ah I forgot some new phones will come out with the Mango official release. I guess I'll just wait a few more weeks to get a better selection or lower price.
Probably old news but this looks hot (if it somehow makes it past concept):

It's only a concept, I wouldn't expect the Quad Cores for another yr or so. Plus, WP7 only supports 480x800 Resolution @ 262 DPI. Mango didn't change this. If anything, that'd be a WP8 Concept IMO.
It's too early to have that kind of phone, I believe next 2 years than its going to be built.

[Q] Sprint Galaxy Nexus vs Htc one X

Okay so here is my question when sprint releases its new 4G LTE should i get the Galaxy Nexus or the Sprint htc evo one (htc one x) i have heard a lot about both but i cant make a decesion.
also it has been rummored that the sprints version of the htc one x will be called the htc evo one and that sprint is trying to incorperate a kick stand (hell ya) and a bigger battery. the galaxy nexus as far as i know will be the same as the other lte galaxy nexus's but it will be sprints 4G LTE's flagship device and the htc evo one (htc one x) is suppose to be released sometime in june
Please provide your opinion and why thank you very much.
pictures of both devices
specs just as a refresher
HTC EVO ONE is rumored to feature a 4.7 inch 720p AMOLED screen with a dual-core 1.5GHz krait processor under the hood. The latter is the same CPU that the AT&T version of the HTC One X is rockin'. There will be a 2650 mAh non-removable battery powering the phone and 16GB of internal memory which can be bumped up using the microSD slot. An 8MP camera is on back with a 2MP front-facing shooter. Android 4.0 is installed out of the box along with Sense 4.0 and it is a Beats Audio device. The HTC EVO ONE will offer LTE connectivity.
The Samsung GALAXY Nexus is the first phone to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich - the version that is meant to put an end to fragmentation. The handset uses the concept of button-less front and thin bezel to fit a 4.65" HD Super AMOLED display in a phone the size of handsets with smaller screens. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor, and capable of shooting HD 1080p video.

Just under hd resolution (720p) is a rumor I heard. 4inch screen aluminum back. A millimeter thinner or two. I think the design will be similair to the 4/4S..flat sides like a block. I don't think it will be a quad core processor. I think the camera will be the same too since they already did that upgrade. And I'm assuming your ridiculously specific specs were meant to be a joke.
1920x1280 is that even a viable resolution? It sounds like you combined the first numbers from 1080p and 720p

As if apple would innovate. Nope, like always they'll stick with the old, slap a shiny new sticker on it and call it innovation. Expect something a little better than the 4s, which is to say, not very good.

Many sources are talking about a change in the screen dimensions, resolution comes later. and most of the reports are talking about a screen with the similar width as its predecessor but with greater height. a metal back that forms a shape similar to that in HTC HD2's backside.
until this moment all i mentioned are just rumors.

Ah
But They Innovated With Alot Of Things (Screen, Build, Touschcreen, etc)
And Double The Graphics Of The iPhone 4S = Monstrous = XBOX + NDS GFX
I Just Realised That 1440 x 960 Is Quite A Possibility Aswell
Though The Full HD+ Would Make More Sense For Apple In The Long Run
There are already a few videos and pics online of the leaked iPhone 5 parts. How true the final design will stay is to be seen.
But so far the two tone aluminum design looks sexy. It's thinner than 4s also supposedly.
Screen dimensions are going to be weird. It's a lot taller screen with around the same width, possibly new sim card dimensions also. Don't expect the resolution dpi to be any lower than the current retina display, apple is pushing towards extremely high resolutions on all their products.
As for the driving force. If it comes in fall October expect a smaller fabrication process core and maybe an a15 setup or hybrid like krait. Gpu will be top notch powervr sgx as usual, the fastest of the bunch. Ram will probably stay at 1gb, iOS really dowsnt need much anyway.
Camera inrpovements are a toss up, but id expect better low light

Hm Yeah
I Suppose I Should Have Thought Of The A15
That Would Make My Original Prediction Alter To A15 @ 900MHz
And The RAM Is Doubling Not Staying As It Is. The 4S Has 512MB RAM
And I Highly Doubt That The Simcard Will Change Again
[No Need To Reply With Nonsensical Back Up Links]
- Retina Display for 4" screen with at least 326 DPI.
- Apple A6 Quad core chip.
- 1GB RAM.
- New Design.
- Ships with iOS6.
- 12mp Camera, or just 8mp worth an improved lens.

Well we know its going to get a four inch screen and apparently ios 6 will have widgets in the form of "live icons" so its possible new iphone will use a basic form of widgets to fill up the larger resolution screen.
But knowing apple they will probably stick nfc and a larger screen on new iphone and leave anything else for an iphone 5S.
And all those iphone users who say that 3.5 inches is the perfect size display will convert overnight and 4 inches will now be the perfect screen size.

Gotta say I'm not overly concerned WHAT it turns out to be. I don't ever wanna lock myself into the Apple OS/iTunes system again.

LG? Old version of OS? And more megapixels doesn't mean "better camera." The 2GB of RAM is nice, but honestly, I think I'll just see what the next Nexus has to offer.
Part of me can't wait to drop the G2x, but I'll suffer through to try and avoid getting burned on another POS from LG or jerked around by an uncooperative and developer unfriendly HTC.

Incredible specs but hardware depends on software which LG is notoriously negligent about.
Well, it has a Qualcomm processor
That's what makes the difference. Qualcomm releases its sources fairly quickly while nVidia doesn't.

Not much difference? Did you not notice the QUAD CORE Snapdragon S4 using the Adreno 320 and 2 gig RAM? That's a HUGE difference in my book. Then again double the cores and a next generation GPU really isn't that big a difference, right?

Not if the firmware and OS have bugs and don't get updated as is usual for LG.
Not a chance. I'm not falling for that bs again. I see LG and thats where it stops. Admittedly LG does exceed in hardware usually, but the software kills it for me. I ain't buying half a phone. Gonna wait for the next nexus, see whats up with that.
Every time I think about it, LG phones are pretty cheap in price. In my not so vast experience, a bad device you suffer leaves a sour note.
I'd probably return to LG at some point, but with their poor track record, not any time soon. Even with the introduction of Quad Core processors, what app even uses 4 cores anyway? It's a phone, not your home entertainment system.

My Design for the "Nexus 4"

I'm a big fan of the One S, and think that it would be great hardware, when tweaked a bit, for a more "casual" Nexus that could actually compete with the iPhone. Due to the moniker, Nexus 7, it would be called the Nexus 4.
Changes from One S to Nexus 4:
Keep 4.3" screen size, but with One X quality. Higher brightness and > 300ppi.
Cut off the hardware buttons to reduce the vertical size and weight of the phone.
Bump ram to 2GB.
Pure Google
So what do you think? Any changes? Do you think it's a good idea? Could you see a large casual market adopting this phone in a similar way to the iPhone?

The Design of the One S is amazing and would not change it too much, maybe a slight change to the backing so it doesnt slip of the hand. Screen Size 4.3" to 4.5". Removable battery and edge to edge display.
Yeah would be nice, but without the hardware buttons it looks a little bit ****ty.
If I helped in any way please hit thanks
