I am trying to root my 4g xoom. I found a one click root for wifi and 3g version. Was wondering if anyone had a one click for the 4g model?

I personally am very leary of one-click rooting for the Xoom. Take a look at the guide in my signature...you don't have to use it but it should at least give you some information.
personally i think Univeral Xoom Root was the most easiest. see my signature.
I found the universal Xoom root to be the easiest aswell.
Yeah the universal flash zip method was the one I used too, works best and is easy

Any one tried or know if I can use your rom's on the thrill 4g
And I'm coming from atrix crazy cwm can I just use rom manager recovery after I root my device with superoneclick?
Thanks

I think you can use the OneClick for root, but not the ROMS, beacuse our roms are made for 3G and your phone is 4G CDMA, so, i think the radio drivers are different (but is my oppinion).
Best regards,
A.

Thanks for your input! I also just bought a thrill and was wondering the same. The thrill is GSM on at&t actually, so perhaps roms may work too if that's the only barrier?
One click works on LG thrill I have mine rooted since I picked it up yesterday
Ok cool guys thanks, Yea I'm about to do the superoneclick I'm not seeing a forum for us yet but I'm sure it wont take long.. The roms shouldn't take to long to port drivers radio ect. So cross yo fingers for some devs!

I think you need some more detail in there... like maybe this is for GB.
I also use SuperOneClickv2.3.3. And there is no need to check any exploits.
I wonder if you felt like there weren't a dozen other threads on how to root?
um bro you have to check the rage one it for at least this version
Umm bro then get the up to date version.
MrGib
Doesn't work with GB but, umm bro, the updated version(2.3.3) does.
Im doing a froyo one though not GB

You are trying to contribute and that is great.
Just be aware most people would rather have Gingerbread and there is a much simpler way to do this once you get gingerbread.
Thanks for trying. It shows you want to help.
@eollie i was going to do a separate GB one if that's ok with you

That would just clutter up the forums some more. We already have a lot of guides in the wiki, so it'd be better if you gave the link to the wiki to people when they ask how to root GB. If you would like you can also add your GB guide to the wiki since anyone can edit it.
Why did you post this? We already have like 50 threads on this.

this root method worked like a charm on my atrix 2 running 2.3.6ota! of coarse all credit goes to shortfuse for making this super easy one click program!

Thanks, but we've had a one click root exploit for 2.3.6 for at least a month now.

Haha, wow. Here's some good reading for you then
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396650
The previously mentioned one click root method, which works ridiculously fast I might add, is detailed about halfway down the page under "How to Root". There's lots of good info in there, check it out.

Haha, def didn't intend anything offensive. Hell, I used that thread to walk me through rooting, flashing fxz, etc., when I finally grew the cahones to do it....and I was pretty experienced from my year of flashing/modding my X10.

I know that there is a one click in the noob thread but I tried it about six times on my new a2 and it didn't work...don't know why. I have been rooting/flashing for a while now on several different phones. I picked this up on the infuse 4g forum and thought I would post it for people who had trouble with the other one click method.

You should check the Atrix 4G forums, this is the Atrix 2 forum.
Having said that, you may need to install device-specific software from Motorola.
Can't Find the download links for the superoneclick 2.3.3 ,,,, any help would be appreciated.....

So I'm new to all this root stuff and what not and yes I have searched but all of them just say flash this radio do cwm do this and do that. But I don't know how to do that because I'm new so it would really help me if you could guide me through the process of getting 4G on my Skyrocket. Right now I am in version 2.3.5 Android, rooted and that's it. Thank you guys!

Skyrocket lacks the 1700Mhz band so previously it wouldn't have worked on T-mobile 4G (3G-extend)
But the New 4G band (1900Mhz), I'm not sure it would work or not.
(Some articles said that you can flash t-mobile's radio to active it.)
Just make sure you had an unlocked one.
And try to CWM it!

I do have an unlocked Skyrocket using it on T-Mobile right now but only getting edge. I unlocked it with an unlock code from eBay. But how could I CWM it? And what is that? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

If you read the stickies you would know. It's a recovery you need to flash things like roms, radios, etc..

Okay I couldn't really find any stickies that matched my things but after more searching I found this...
-How to install Clockwork Mod Touch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566613
-Radio's to get 4G on Skyrocket http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1507825&highlight=flashing+a+radio
-ROM I would like to have on my skyrocket http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1605105&highlight=nexus+mod The thing I'm wondering though is that will this ROM work with one of the radios from the previous link I just posted?
So I have spent the last 2-3 days combing every respectable forum on the web and can't find an answer to this.
I did the kies update to 4.1.2 and then rooted with SuperuserSU. Now I need to tether. I tried freezing the TetheringProvision 4.06.30 but that didn't work like it did with the Tethering Manager in GB and ICS.
Can someone advise what the issue is?
I would appreciate any assistance you can give.

I have a SII i727 on the ATT network;
Im not sure exactly what you are using for your wifi app but I use Wifi Tether for Root. After updating to JB 4.1.2, I rooted using openrecovery twrp 2.5.0.0. in odin 1.85. I deleted my previous Wifi Tether app and started fresh. I found the following site and directly downloaded/installed the TrevE Mod from the browser in my phone using a Google search. I then followed the instructions from the following;
This is where I would have inserted the link however this site restricts me from doing that since I am a new user. So instead, google search "wifi tether treve mod" and your first hit should be a site from highonandroid dot com. From there, they do all the work.
I can't believe it, but it works on both my ipad and laptop flawless!!! I hope that helps and best of luck to you...
