Samsung Galaxy Ace, 2.3.6, rooted.
Uninstalled several system apps using Titanium Backup. Successfully re-installed some of them, like samsung apps, thinkfree, etc., but unable to re-install My Files.
Tried to download some Myfiles.apk (one is 600+ kb, one is a bit bigger, and one is about 1Mb). Saved on sdcard. Tapped on it to install, "Application is not installed".
Help please!!! I don't understand why samsung apps and thinkfree can be re-installed, with Titanium no less, but My Files cannot, even with the .apk file.
Thank you!!!
By the way, if it means anything to you guys, I tried to uninstall / reinstall Boat Browser Mini (which is installed in sdcard) with Titanium, and uninstall / reinstall Screen Filter (which is installed in data/app?), with Titanium, both turned out ok.
Thanks!

Looking for help on how to reinstall a few system apps on my 2.2 OTA DroidX. I used root explorer and am able to reinstall bloatware (e.g. Blockbuster.apk) to my /system/apps/ dir and install them, but when I try and re-install anything system, like Messaging.apk, FriendFeed.apk, etc, I get an "Application not Installed Message".
Any ideas? Do I need to reflash?
I backed up all my data with Mybackup Root and restored it after I flashed a new rom. Now, I have all my apps but the market doesn't recognize them, that is when I go to "my downloads" it only shows 2-3 apps (none of which have been restored).
Is there a way to fix this? If so, how?
Phone is Samsung Fascinate: 2.2, EB01 (Superclean 2.00)
Anybody experience this problem and know a solution?
I have this problem too. Anyone know how to fix this apart from reinstalling every app again from the market?
I also have this problem with MyBackup Pro.
I installed a new ROM with the new market (SensatioN 2).
The applications are restored from MyBackup Pro. When I go in the market on such an application, I can open it, but I can't uninstall it.
Moreover, when I go to "My applications", the list is empty ...
Hi, this is kind of a difficult question for me to explain, but I will try.
I have Titanium Backup installed and it was working fine for a while.
One day the icon went corrupt and the app would not open.
Naturally I went to uninstall and reinstall the apk.
When I uninstalled, the app icon and links disappeared and the app ceased to function, but the app did not uninstall.
When I try to reinstall, it asks to replace the old with the new one.
The install finishes with "Application Not Installed"
I can not access Titanium Backup at all.
I have tried using ADB to uninstall and I have uninstalled from the manage applications. I also tried deleting the .apk from /data/app/.
Titanium backup will no longer show up in my Manage Application menu.
I made a flashable .zip from another phone and installed it that way, TiBu still did not show up in the app list, but all the files are in the phones filesystem.
Hopefully someone can help me fix this without reinstalling the ROM.
The problem phone: HTC Hero CDMA CM7 Nightlies.
Thank you!
I hate to bump my own post, but my thread seems to have gotten lost among newer ones and I do not know where else to ask for help fixing it.
I'm on NeoRom v3 where Titanium backup is pushed as a system app, wanted to uninstall it, tried through several applications since several methods i tried didn't work and i think i partially deleted the app, but it's still coming back lol
It is still in apps list in the default settings menu but it's not among the other apps in apps drawer. When i try to install my version of titanium bckup, it doesn't except it.
What to do? Is there any tutorial for uninstalling system apps?

System apps could be uninstalled simply by deleting apk file and .odex file(if exists) from /system/app/.
Try deleting those files and reboot phone if you didnt already tried.
Not to mention, take backup since you are playing with system apps..
Now it's seems uninstalled but I can't install titanim bakcup again, it goes FC before even opening, like i deleted something in system that i shoudn't. blerg, nevermind, tnx for help
I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S7 using this method: galaxys7root(dot)com/galaxy-s7-s7-edge-root/how-to-root-attt-mobilesprintverizon-galaxy-s7s7-edge (it won't let me post the link since I'm new). It worked flawlessly. While I was restoring old apps I accidentally installed Google Keyboard, the stock keyboard from my old Turbo. I installed a root uninstaller to clear the bloatware of the phone, and instead of installing the Google Keyboard, I had a brain fart and uninstalled Samsung Keyboard. I tried using an apk I got from my fiancee's S7 but it would just crash over and over whenever it was enabled. I tried digging in and clearing it completely out from the system files, then resinstall it altogether, but the package installer still said it was an update and not a new installation. After "updating" I still had the same problem. So I cleared it out again and I'm using the Google Keyboard.
Is there a way to reinstall the keyboard without it crashing all the time?
Just for clarification, the system files I deleted were the input-method-1 folder and the SamsungIMEv3 folder.

If you didn't make a backup, then I would suggest to install the stock firmware via odin and then re-root your device.
Thank you. I'll give that a shot.
It worked! Thanks again!
