Dear XDA-Devs and Community,
I've recently installed DooMKernel v06 (Unlocked BL),but there are still WiFi-Errors.
In detailes,I unlocked my bootloader (downloaded S1Tool to ensure it.)Then,I flashed DooMKernel v06 Max Overclocked [Exact file name: X10_2.3.3_DooMKernel-v06-BootManager-v2.0.ftf] version (FOR STOCK ROMs) ,everything worked perfectly, except the WiFi.
I installed the v06 wifi modules right below the ftf. (FOR STOCK ROMs TOO) file, through xrecovery.[Exact file name: x10_gb_DooMKernel-v06_wifi.zip]
It didn't work,so I used Module Loader. It didn't work again.I re-flashed the DooMKernel ftf file and then the wifi modules again.Still,nothing.
These are the phone info:
Version: 2.3.3
Baseband 2.1.71
Kernel: [email protected]
3.0.1.G.0.75 (Isn't that the stock one?)
So here's the basic Q:
1)According to my phone info,am I using wrong Kernel and modules?
2)Can't those modules be installed through xrecovery?Only via CWM recovery? If yes, could somebody provide me with info on how to SAFELY uninstall xrecovery and then install CWM Recovery?
3)Is the problem something else that I've missed? What am I doing wrong?
Thank you very much in advance.
I'm using medium overclock kernel and wifi modules which works perfectly for me :/
You sure you flashed the right wifi modules (ie, the ones for the max overclock) ?
In any case, try the medium overclock kernel and modules and see if it works, the max one is known to cause some problems
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium HD app
Well I've installed the modules right below the kernel I installed..And everything else seems to work fine.Except the WiFi..So I don't think I've installed wrong kernel.
Uh,if there's no other solution,I'll flash medium overclock and its modules..
Well if you installed all the right things, I'd say the max overclock kernel has issues with your device
Now I don't have that much of knowledge on that yet but I'd say give a shot to the medium one and see if it works
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium HD app
I've flashed Medium OverClocked version, the wifi modules right below, but still nothing...
What could the problem be?..Am I missing a step or something?
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED.I HAD TO WIPE THE DALVIK CACHE AGAIN.THEN I REFLASH KERNEL AND MODULES AND IT'S WORKING PEFECT.
Thank you.
same x1- wifi problem after Kernel flash, not solved, please help
Dear all,
I have the same Wifi error issue, after installing new Kernel and Wifi:
X10_2.3.3_DooMKernel-v06-1113-BootManager-v2.0.ftf
x10_gb_DooMKernel-v06-1113_wifi.zip
Have tried everything I could find, e.g. clearing cache, Dalvik cache, reinstalling, rebooting etc.
All works well but the Wifi does not. I had the same problem when installing the Feralab Kernel.
Even installing the stock Wifi (apparently) modules from another threat did not work:
x10_gb_stock_wifi_modules.zip
Before I did all this, I rooted the X10 successfully, installed an unlocked bootloader with flashtool and everything went swimmingly well; once I removed all the bloatware, it was really fast. I am running the stock rom still. Should have left the Kernel alone!
Any suggestions or leads to pertinent threads would be much appreciated, please help.
Cheers,
Dirk
Wifi not working
When turn on it shows "error"
any one pls help
thanks in advance !

Just flashed imoseyon's kernel on my rooted thunderbolt and now I'm stuck in a bootloop...any advice? I've running stock rom.
It's the lean version of his kernel and thats the only thing I flashed. I cleared cache + davik cache before flashing.
I was able to do a restore, but I want to use this kernel
It sounds stupid, but try again. Clear cache and dalvik
I've tried 5 times Even tried uninstalling setcpu and unfreezing all the bloatapps that I had frozen. Still get stuck on boot
I've also tried re-downloading the kernal file in case it was corrupt...no luck still.
Which Imoseyon kernel are you running?
Could it be that your particular Tbolt won't handle the lower voltage? Also you might want to check the md5sum again.
Good luck.

I said its the lean version, and he doesnt post md5sum so I have nothing to compare to. But thanks for using my thread to +1 your post count....
wifi is broke and my data is stuck on 1X only now after doing advanced restore-->reboot only.
Did you flash the GB Sense kernel instead of the Froyo kernel?
I used this 1... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021404 It says Froyo... where can I find the stock kernel that you get after rooting? I need to get wifi/data working again now.
I mount the phone as disk drive on my computer, and I can only view the SD Card...ugh whats going on, so many issues after flashing this kernel
I did a factory reset now and I still cant connect to wifi/3g/4g...I think I need to flash the stock kernel to fix it. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
Flash another rom such as BAMF, whenever you flash a rom it flashes the kernel that is included in the rom as well.
I'm using his kernel just fine. Can you check your radio version?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
radio 1.16.00.0402, and Im on the stock ROM, dont want to use a special ROM...
Flash a rom or the stock rom that should get you on another kernel. Also, my TB couldn't handle some of the kernels. I was never able to get it at 1.92ghz. I can only use the normal version. Try one of the other versions. Best of luck!
Sent from my DROID PRO using Tapatalk
make sure the kernel is not oc'd to 1.92.................most phones can not handle that.
I installed a newer version of Ultimate HD for the Sony Xperia Arc/s, Link here.
And after that my Wifi didn't work anymore, so I searched around for hours and eventually updated my kernel which was Lupus v10, and now is v16 link
It says in the thread "Wifi is build in NO NEED for WIFI MODULES.ZIP" So I flashed that and then installed Ultimate HD again and still have no wifi now, it just keeps saying Connecting..
I would be very grateful if one of you guys can help me out!, thanks.
Sander.
That seems like something to do with some bug in ROM...
Q 4: My WiFi doesn't work. What can I do?
A: Flash WiFi Modules for your Kernel. If you are on stock kernel, reflash stock WiFi Modules. If you use Lupus, reflash the kernel and make sure you have a few mb left on the /system partition. If that, doesn't work, reflash the ROM and Check MD5 Sums.

Reflash back the stock ROM and see if WiFi works.. if it works, you better flash some other custom rom rather than This,....
Hi guys,
I'm pretty noob around here so if I ask you silly questions please don't bother.
The problem is, I fed up with my stock Asus firmware on my TF300TG and decided to install a custom rom.
Unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP 2.5.0.0 for custom recovery. Then i did research on xda and find out Grimlock V2.2 is suiting my daily usage.
I did factory reset, wipe dalvik cahce and installed Grimlock and everything went OK. But after I boot into Grimlock 3G worked but I can't open wi-fi.
I thought sometimes just rebooting fixes most of things, then I reboot my tablet. This time i can see wi-fi is connecting but it doesn't connect at all. You can't visit any website or download apps from Google Play. 3G works smooth though.
Than i tried to install with TF300 kernel, this time as expected 3G has gone but wi-fi works perfect.
So which kernel should I use or what should I do to use 3G and wi-fi at the same time.
Thank you!

I wonder if it was just a bad install. I haven't heard of anybody else having problems with the wifi with the TG kernel. I'd recommend to try and do a fresh install again, doing all wipes, and making sure to choose the kernel for the TF300TG.

Sorry to reply late, I was on a business trip and didn't have enough time to try this.
Anyway I tried it about 10min ago but wi-fi problem still exists.
Did all the wipes I can.

Are you able to take a logcat and send it to me? Most TG users are running this rom without issue.
I installed Grimlock 2.2 rom on my TF300TG. Before this, I had latest Asus firmware installed on, bootloader unlocked and rooted.
With this new firmware, when I poweron it, if I try to connect it using either 3g or wifi activating them, it can't connect (on wifi it founds my wifi network but can't obtain IP address).
If I activate 3g (or wifi) and reboot, then it connect successfully.

I would suggest 2 options:
1) Install CROMI instead of GRIMLOCK - NEWEST CROMI
2) Run the kernel installer by sbdags on the second post of the thread: KERNEL INSTALLER POST - Installing a TF300TG kernel in here should fix the wifi issues in GRIMLOCK. These kernels are all compatible with GRIMLOCK as well.

Hey hardslog. Thank you for your reply.
Before your reply I have flashed CROMI and testing it now. So far, so good But I think I will give GRIMLOCK another shoot using your advice
Can anyone tell me if I could run a stock Kernel on the 6.0.1 version of Katkiss? And if so, how do I load a kernel? I'm having wifi issues that were not there when I was on a stock rom.
hi xda,
i installed the new kernel 1.1.1 from this treat http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2615010
and im on CM 11
and yes, after flashing i did a Cache wipe
then i wanted to test BLN *free* and the app says " active" but when i run a test, nothing happens....
did i something wrong ???
PS: i flashed kernel 1.2 Phone crashed at enableing PIN
THX for help!
Hobi
I've got the same issue with kernel, even with newest version.
As I'm actually having sub10 posts, I'm not able to write in the original thread directly.
Is there any other Kernel ot there for 9105 stock roms with BLN support?
how to...
Has anybody using this kernel on stock ROM a short introduction how to get BLN working?
I already copied the mentioned capri.lights.so to the given folder and restarted the phone, but it still doesn't work.
What else do I have to change to get it work?
The app ButtonLED works, but I would to use BLN.
Best regards
hey guyz
i want to overclock my asus tf101
i am running Revolver 421 based with android version 4.03
tried using Clemsyn-Blades from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKP0sJxHM3I and it was a failure cuz the version i used was not meant for android 3. something.
so please can someone provide me with some current overclock tools.
would be realy helpfull guyz,
thnx
Flash KatKiss (Android KitKat 4.4.2) and it has the overclockable Kernel and Overclock settings built in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2592890
Make sure you are running TWRP Recovery before flashing KatKiss ROMs or JellyBean ROMs though

thnx for the replay but i dont see this as a solution, i just want to have revolver rom but with a overclockable possibilities, i already tried katkiss and i dont like it.
i tried to flash this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565519 V22.6 and was able to overclock with succes but usb mount wont work.
each time i plug in the tf101 in my laptop, i get a notifcation on my tablet (USB debuging conected) when i unselect this through the seting menu, nothing happens.
anny solution ? i also tried V21 but the same problem with usb mount

If the ROM doesn't come with an overclockable kernel already, you'll have to find a compatible one
Once you have the correct Kernel installed, grab SetCPU or similar from Google Play to overclock the CPU
Those ROMs are so old now I don't know which ones contain OC kernels and which ones don't, which was why I suggested KatKiss
Check the ROMs main thread for what is included / which Kernel it contains

No idea about the USB problem, maybe is an issue with the ROM / Kernel you've flashed - these ROMs don't have much / any support now
If you want to keep using it, then your best bet is to start reading through that ROMs thread and see if there is a solution in there or hope that someone else can remember / or is still using the same ROM
yeah i dont think it has to do something with how old that rom is, cuz i know revolver did allot of updates to ensure quality roms, and from the kernel link i shared there was a guy who was on revolver 1.3.1 who did not have any problems at all on the first page at the bottom you can read that.
everything works fine for me like the wifi, charging except the mounting of the device to a pc -_-
I mean because of the age of the ROM, you're going to struggle to find any answers to problems you have with it
