I had the same problem and i couldnt figgure out how to uninstall him...
But there is one easy step - Need to uncheck somewhere in options if i remember correctly (special permissions or admin premmisions) or somrthing like that... I cant remember because it was a long time ago...
So uncheck it and you can unninstall the programm - The feature prevents program deleate(ex - somekind of virus could maybe deleate AV and then take the system) this function dosent allow it... so also user(you) cannot unninstall whitout disabling it...

Thx guys I got it to delete using your suggestions...thx again...Tj

Problem deleting programs

Hello all,
I have a problem, i installed a .cab file which was taskbar icons.. now half the icons didnt work so i wanted to delete it through "remove programs" in settings as i always do.. but for some reason when i highlight the program and click "remove" it says "Darklord69 Tasbar was not completely removed. Do you want to remove it from the list of installed programs?"..
It wont remove it self from my system and it has completly stuffed up my icons.. is there another way i can delete programs and some how fix this issue?
Thank you.
Anyone had this same issue?
remove it, then when its says "cannot be removed" click ok, then install it again.... this should get rid of it
Do not remove from programs list, sort reset, then go and remove again. Should work.
Thanks guys.
I have tried all that but it didn't work i had to reset my phone back to manufactors default.

[Q] Removing GPS apps from ROM

Hello,
i have a small problem, i have HTC Desire running Reflex S and i remove some system apps using Root App Remover but the two apps are annoying me they are called Locations and the Wise Pilot. Locations are getting back after normal restart and the WisePilot i cant remove beacuse i cant find it. Any suggestions ?
Thx.
I would advise you to use Titanium Backup it has a lot more features then just removing apps and has a lot of work put into it but if the app is coming back upon rebooting the phone just freeze the app so it doesnt show up your apps list and is not visible or usable.
Hope this helps.
thx man, but where is the WisePilot stored or how i can freeze it, it does not show in TitaniumBackup
You might be able to remove it with root explorer go to /system/app and delete apk file and reboot
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
ok but the the question is what is the filename i sholuld know to find it, otherwise there is no problem with searching the file
edit //: solved aj freeze the apps that i do not need, system is now fast
please lock

how to Delete DICE App permanately

i have a htc sensation 4g, tmo phone. I am trying to delete this app called DICE and i cant find a way on how to permanently delete it, i dont even use it at all...
CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME....
by the way, the phone is rooted...
Use an explorer like root explorer and go into system\apps. You will find the apps there. Simply delete the apk file and it is gone for good! I am like you. When I flash a rom I delete all the apps I dont need. So far using stock rom 1.50 rooted, I have had it on now for about 36 odd hours and still sitting at 50% battery. Oh the other place you can delete downloaded apps from is \data\apps.

Titanium Backup allows you to delete system apps. I believe you have to enable an option called "Chuck Norris mode" inside it to be able to, though.
Nah you can just click the app in TB and his Delete. Itll ask if you're sure and then it destroys it, regardless of mode.
TB pro lets you freeze apps though, removing them without actually removing them.

Remove unwanted apps.....

Ok guys this is my first post in xda and hope to help rookies out there who are wondering how to remove apps that they don't use at all but eats up their internal memory.
1.Download any file manager with root explorer capability (eg. es file explorer, file manager etc)
2.Enable root explorer and mount the system folders as r/w
3.Goto this folder :\system\app
4.Try to recognise the app you want to delete
5.Now delete the apk of the file
6.Reboot into recovery and fix permissions
voila there you have it.....Your phone free of unnecessary bloatware
BE CAREFUL NOT TO DELETE SYSTEM APPS LIKE BLUETOOTH,WIFI ETC
Don't get me wrong but this is stupid idea, especially for new users, this is maybe easyest way to get htc white screen, yes I admit it's fastest way but, not correct way of new users to remove apps.
Here is something easyer and way more safer https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwxLDEsInpzai5hbmRyb2lkLnVuaW5zdGFsbCJd
Hmmm...

This is the important part! But new users often don't know what exactly they are doing. First time when I did it this way........let's just say it wasn't pretty after a reboot. As I sayed it's working, even now I do it like this but it's not good for guys who just rooted their phones and started with experiments.

ok guess you are right
wanted to know if I do though this method and remove the unwantedand unroot my phone after that will I have any probs
It depends what do you delete, if you delete something important, yes you will have problems, if you check out this list and think a little bit you will be fine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27123725&postcount=1931
If you use the app that I post at second post, and don't delete something that the app says it's important, you also should be fine.
BUT and that's huge one, if you unlock your bootloader(and that's a must if you want root) there is no way (yet, soon but not yet) to make it say "LOCKED" again, it will say RE-LOCKED and you won't have warranty.

How can I remove Facebook Home?!?

Just installed Butterz Sense on my HTC Evo V 4G (Awesome ROM), but I elected to try out Facebook Home... Someone help me remove it now? It's not in my list of apps to remove, never ran in to this before... Do I really need to re-install the ROM without selecting FaceBook Home?
Any help appreciated!
Does titanium backup find your app? If not, go to /system/app and if it's there, delete it. Be sure not to delete something else.
