LG G2X SMS Delivery Report - T-Mobile LG G2x

hi all,can someone answer me why sms delivery report not working on my device-android 4.0.but on 2.3.3 it wirk fine (sorry for my english)

doesn't work for anything that isn't Official based (2.2-2.3.3) anything CM based it doesn't work. I've tried little things to fix it or find an app to tell me if it fails, with no luck. Didn't search too much for apps that's your best bet though.

[Q] Facebook would not sync to nexus s

Hello,
I bought my nexus s today, and i noticed that Facebook wouldn't sync to my phone! it starts by not asking whether or not to sync contacts when i install the Facebook app and continues by not responding to 'ass account' in 'accounts & syncs' in settings.
I really like the option that i can see my fav's pictures.
can i solve this? any suggestions?
but all and all amazing phone, specially after coming from here, after two years
Google removed this option on Nexus S...
thanks, i guess it's like Google want that i will root this phone..
Please don't cross post in multiple forums.
If you just want contact pics, try "syncmypix"

or use CM7.. unsure why people wouldn't want to use it. CM7 enables Facebook syncing again.
Don't even say you don't want to use it because its "unstable" its stable if you know how to properly set it up.

blasphemy much? especially when its a "Developer Phone" and its pretty much encouraging you to hack it. but everybody has their taste
and no. i dont believe anybody wants to run their phone stock/unrooted.. especially when we're on XDA, this forum is primarily here to hack your phone and to maximize the most out of your ~$530-$580 purchase ($199 with contract). If people wanted to leave it the way it is, they would be on other forums but they found XDA, with the majority of the users here are here to mod their phones. I would find it reasonable that they have a interest in doing this.
People primarily leave their phone stock on the forum because they're afraid that they're going to void the warranty / whatever. I'm just pointing out that it is a very hard phone to brick and they should use custom ROMs because they really do improve the Android experience.

I just really find it funny when people's answers is always "root it", "use cm7", "adb this", etc..etc.. (Personally I do run CM7 Nightlies, but get tired of these 'replies'). Not everyone wants to root their phone, not everyone wants to run a custom ROM. Some people just want to run their phones stock, even if it is a "developer phone" (which is an argument in itself). It's as bad as people saying "you have a 'developer phone'" course their's always bugs in it when someone points out a simple bug.

Just like what I editted my post previously in regards about XDA & users. XDA is primarily a forum for getting the most of your phone. So yeah, I will continue assuming that they want to get the most out of their phone. This forum isn't for unrooted/unmodded areas. Thats what Android Central is for (no disrespect to Android Central, I think its a great website but they are more friendly towards stock roms).
And no it has nothing to do with "developer phone," anything that Google makes is considered a beta. Especially when you get a product from them in its early stages. Early adopters encounters bugs, its apart of Google.
We all pay a price for being early adopters, it could be a success or fail. No one knows.
Android isn't iOS where everybody will run on Stock. Android is a versatile mobile OS, we have many options. If we don't like something that Google or a manufacturer did.. we're able to change it. So if we dont like Google's decision on Facebook Sync we can take it into our own hands. The OP wanted sync with FaceBook, I simply gave him a solution to fix it by flashing a custom ROM such as CM7. Am I coercing him to root / flash? No. the decision is up to him. But if he did try it out, I'm certain that he will enjoy it.
Edit: After reading this thread once again:

So your reference about him not rooting is false. Rooting is a gateway towards flashing custom ROMs. And stop trying to be a moderator by telling him to stop posting in multiple forums.
cool so some can sync with som roms and som not an stock roms cant sysnc too
but the real interessting thing is:
how to get any rom to sync with facebook????
some roms have "fixed" that so ho to get this "fix"???

if the ROMs are based off CM7 then it can sync. Unsure if Master changed it for Axura or not. But I believe at this point, it'd be CM7 and MIUI with FB Sync (uncertain about MIUI but it is based off CM7)
Edit: GBCollab is Cm7 too
hmm ... but interessting thing is:
why is it working with CM7? what did they make that it is working?
i think they didnt call the big abracadabra and then it was working ...
so why is it working in CM7 and is it possible to get this "what ever it is" in to a other rom??

Because Android is AOSP? And CM7 is compiled from AOSP with tweaks and additions. All they have to do is find the line that disables the sync and remove it or modify it.
I could imagine that if u use GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk or GooglePartnerSetup.apk from stock 2.3.2 Rom it may work again, since 2.3.3 is the first rom that has fb sync disabled. But i didnt try it out and im on cm7 anyhow, i just think it may be worth a try.

it works in cyanogen because he turned it back on. it is open source software, so you can do whatever you want to it. google removed this feature, but cyanogen added it back. pretty simple, and that is why it is always worth using a custom ROM over stock ROM. no reason to never root.
good thing .. finaly i try to get somthing more ...
is there anyone who can tell us what we have to change that we all can turn it on again?
or with other words ... is there a tool to turn it back on?
thx - flo

no. just flash CM7. if you want it THAT badly, go get the source of CM7 and go look at it.. and compile your own AOSP with that line of code to re-enable but its way too much work. just flash CM7
I though fb sync still worked on CM7 as he uses the android open source version of 2.3 and allot of the other roms out there use the nexus s release of 2.3 as their base?
Facebook sync wasn't disabled on the N1 just the NS

Thanks!

I thought I read somewhere that Froyo doesn't support wifi location...I may be wrong, but I don't want to to break yourself searching for something that may not exist.
Hmm, I have not seen that anywhere, but I have also not seen it working in any Froyo ROM.
That is the one major annoyance that keeps me wanting to go back up to GB or HC.

[Q] signal issues.

So i have the ns4g and have tried multiple roms to see if i can get better signals/wifi signals and cant seem to really get anything better then the last. Also since this "official so called 4.0.4" rom has come out i was wondering if since this was an official build if the signals would be any better....please if someone could answer this or at least give me some advice i would greatly appreciate it!!!! thanks.

[Q]Miui rom market

I fresh the miui rom from raver's rom. But I found that there's some different from other rom's market. I can't find some apps in miui rom. and can't install them. What happen abouT that?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
I think it because of a code in the buildprop which lets the market app recognize your phone version, and software version...
have this problem after changing some codes in the buildprop
I didn't Change any code after fresh this rom

reguardless even tho the build prop identifys gingerbread.
Market still knows its MIUI
IF anyone here has ever used miui or cm on another device they know not everything shows up in stock shows up in cm7 or miui its a fact.

I believe that you misunderstood what he had said... Its not an issue with the rom, its an issue with MIUI and the market. I have had MIUI on previous phones and that is just something you have to deal with when using MIUI/CM. No matter who builds it, some apps will never show up.
@jigglynuts
Well I think it's a good idea looking into it since it's been happening for a time and it is an issue. Why is it? Thing is, this is not a thing to ask Raver... maybe would be better to talk with the MIUI people.
Look, if you make a backup using ti, then hypothetically, you can reinstall them, they may or may not work though. It depends on the app.

It is an issue with MIUI/CM. Seeing as MIUI people are the ones who developed it, I am sure they are fully aware. You can hop on any forum with MIUI and see related questions. I can assure you it has been looked into. I strongly doubt Raver is going to devote his time to fix an issue that has been around since MIUI/CM itself.
As far as the bluetooth and ringtones that is something that can/will/already are being looked into. I would not hold my breath about the market though.
Talking to Raver, I found out that it could also be the app developer that is blocking miui and cm from seeing those apps.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
it has to do something in the buildprop that the market app reads.
my theory if you can fake the version.
my guess the app will be available.
Im changing and testing out the code in the buildprop but no success yet just a ton of bootloops and fc

i have had an HTC Desire for a good time and done a lot of flashing on it.
i never found an app on 90% of roms that was not available on stock rom
i have flashed MIUI XJ, MIUI AU, cm7 and other roms based on cm7 and stock as well and no probs
i aint a dev so i surely dont understand everything, but well maybe people on desire thread might help.

No Love For Sprint N5?

What gives? It seems many of the roms in OG or in AD do not work with Sprint, data at least, on the nexus 5. A fix has been found by Team Slim, yet I don't see the roms being updated to work on Sprint. I understand some devs choose not to fix it as they don't run sprint which is fine but why not try fixing it, giving you a larger user base? I bought the N5 because I wanted a true google experience, and figured I would get to try out some awesome roms that were not available for my previous devices, but its almost the same here. This is a legitimate question, and I hope I don't get the usual high horse answer, "why don't you fix it" "we do this for free" etc etc I love that the devs put in personal time, im just looking for answers as to why a fix wouldn't be implemented if it is tested good and working.

Give it some time....... Its the ONLY CDMA carrier this phone works on... so for most of the devs this is a completely new thing
Or try fixing it yourself, like restore your APN's from a ROM with data working.

the thing is there is a fix, and its proven to work on Slimrom/Slimkat and the code has been put up for use by other devs, that's why im asking this question is it just the devs don't want to support sprint or is there something else
I agree completely. The fix has been posted for weeks now. Any dev releasing a rom without it at this point is being sloppy.

While I agree that ROM devs should be updating their code with the fix from Slim, one thing I can suggest is maybe just try using a stock rooted ROM with Xposed framework. I am also on Sprint, and while I used to love using SlimBean for my Galaxy S 3, I am also perfectly satisfied with stock Nexus 5 ROMs with Xposed framework and GravityBox. If you're not happy with it, then it's easy to just disable the module and run along. Just something to try out if you're craving more customizability.

Is it only aosp that don't work? Stock works I assume?
Have you tried posting the link to the commit in dev threads asking for it to be implemented? If you're not doing it, maybe no one else is either
