Has anyone out there successfully added the palm pre touchstone charging capabilities to the galaxy S II skyrocket (i727)?
My friend is planning to do this to his Nexus S.
I also have a captivate that I can apply this to if it doesn't work with the skyrocket.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that if anyone else is interested, here's the link for that main components...you'll just need to get some copper tape.

I bought a Palm Touchstone inductive charger almost a year ago off the clearence rack intending to mod my then Touch Pro 2 to use it. I planed to wire it into the charging jack, but I couldn't bring my self to take it apart and break the warinty seal. Now that I have the My Touch 4G Slide and it is compatible with the powermat. I already own the touchstone. and ripped the inductive coil out of a Palm Pre touchstone battery door, Does anybody know where the contacts for the contacts for the Powermat Cover are?
PS: I read the other threads where this is done. This phone I think can be done WITHOUT VOIDING YOUR WARINTY. Any help would be nice. If you want to bash, save us both the trouble. Don't post anything, just move on to another thread.
The powermat battery cover has 4 contacts. On the back of the phone, they pair with the 4 contacts between the sim card and the micro sd card.
I figured as much. I don't think a multimeter willl be any help because it is a input, not a output. Just which one it the 4 silver dots is the positive the negative and maybe the ground. Judging by the closeness of the two groups of contacts, each group of two is just one big contact. just might have to go to the t-mobile store, buy a powermat and do it that way. I am trying to avoid buying alot because I already have alot of the pieces
Just bought a powermat. Here comes the part where I figure out what pin does what and the voltage and current for said pin.
I just recently got a Nexus 4, and my girlfriend got a Galaxy S3 for christmas. I know the S3 doesn't have native wireless charging (requires some sort of adapter to the pinout under the back cover, I think?), but I was wondering if there's either: A) a way I can add wireless charging to the S3 that would be compatible with the recently released charging orb through the play store, or B) an option that would somehow work for both, if the S3 can't be made compatible with the orb.
I made an effort to search through other questions to make sure this hadn't been asked before, so forgive me if it has and I missed it!
Rumors have it that Samsung is developing a kit, if its Qi compatible then all Qi chargers will work with it.
The real place to ask the question is in the S3 forums. If they make it Qi youre good, if not then its on them.
I got the adapter from fast tech for the S3 (cheapest I could find it at $15 including shipping) for my Boyfriend's S3. I have a Nexus 4. Once the adapter and my Qi chargers arrive I will report back and let you know. I did not order the orb, but I did get the cheap $35 one from fast tech, and the double Duracell one from amazon.
I think I should get at least the adapter and the double duracell one next week. We also have a variety of cases for the s3 to test with.
I'm hoping that orb will work for galaxy s3. Not only I'm getting useless nexus 4i also ordered the orb. My wife might kill me. Lol. We got Verizon and at least a year and a half on contract left.

I'm using the cheapo uniden qi charger for the iPhone with my nexus 4. Got it at walgreens drug store for like 12$ and hacked for the n4 it works perfectly.

I'm using the Energizer dual charger (Qi certified) to charge both my N4 and my wife's GS3. I bought an after market Qi receiver for the GS3 from eBay. It fits under the stock back cover. Works great.
I like the energizer unit since I can do both phones at the same time.

Do you have any problems with placing phones properly?

I, too, have an S3 and a N4, which are sharing one wireless charger (Power Qi). I had to buy a Qi receiver and apply it on top of the battery for S3. It makes the back of S3 hump a little bit, but the battery cover still snaps in. Of course, S3 feels heavier too.
That said, things work fine. Charging faster than computer usb 2.0 and slower than wall charger, but I can grab it an run whenever I want.

In Vietnam it's about 37 USD per unit and the receiver is about 10 USD.
Hello,
Has anyone used HP TouchStone with Galaxy S5 with official wireless charger back, and is it working, and is it working optimally?
The HP TouchStone charger is currently dirt cheap on Amazon UK (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005GYUK1Y) and I was pondering buying several as my main work and home charger stations.
Let me know with your findings!

it does not work.
Hello all. A friend of mine developed this new car dock for the Note 3, Galaxy S3, and Galaxy S4. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy for my GS3 and found it to be the best dock I have ever used. I purchased one for my Note 3 and I did an unboxing. Please give it a look. Thanks

Hey all,
Starting a new thread on this, since the other one is several months old.
Does anyone know of where the S5 Wireless cover can be found where it isn't over priced (i.e. $100)? I'm looking to get the feature, as my charge port is acting funny w/ a lose connection to charging cables.
If not the OEM Samsung version, does anyone know of a decent After Market version that still keeps the waterproof capability. I've seen one on Amazon that doesn't have the waterproof gasket, but no luck anywhere else.
TIA.

How about:

And, by the way, the S5 is NOT waterproof, it is water resistant, big difference...
I don't think that one is for the S5. The contacts for the battery don't match the battery pattern. Thanks for looking though.
Understood not waterproof. Just a lack of brain power to write resistant last night..
ME TOO!!!
I've been searching myself for years now, can't figure out why the hell they still cost so much, I'm still not sure I wanna pay $30 + shipping for one directly from Samsung/usa (but they aren't cheaper anywhere else!)
But anyhow... I haven't tried this myself but you could have a look getting at a Qi standard wireless receiver. I don't go on Amazon much, but there's a lot of them on Ebay.
Installed the following last week on my S5, couldn't be happier.
BestFire® Ultra-thin QI Wireless Charging Charger Receiver For Samsung (S5)

* NOTE... Images aren't for the S5. Unit shipped actually has 3 contact pins, which we need.
Fits well and seals with stock battery door. Slight center bump, but hardly noticeable especially with a protective case on. Using mine with a Samsung wireless charger.
S5
How is the performance of the wireless charging battery cover? Did it work?
