Looking Developers for Sensation XL - General Topics

Are there any good Devs for our Sensation XL devices,we have a few good roms but suddenly every good Developer is leaving us because they buy them self a new phone, like One X and so on. Now they have a new phone and those of us that just bought Sensation XL or cannot afford a better one like One X, now we are left behind with maybe one or two devs ( and they have so little time,or dont even have SXL for testing). And Roms that are available are not being updated, and nobody is giving any support. Now i really regret that i sold my Desire HD-THE BEST PHONE EVER AND WITH MANY DEVELOPERS HERE ON XDA,AND MANY UPDATED ROMS ,THEMES, SUPPORT AND SO ON. I am asking you folks here to help us find a good Developer/s for making some new Roms or atleast to help us update some old Roms ,like Sense 4.0 lite. Thanks for any reply

Please if you canĀ“t help, stay away from posting!
If you still ignore it your post will be automatically deleted and a ban may come visit you soon

Good Job Sensation Devs

Wow Im trying to find a stable rom for my buddies mt4gs and their roms are all terrible maybe because its a laggards phone having that stupid keyboard and all. I love my Sensation and our developers kick ass !!!!!!
There's not much development for that phone at all.
Thankfully the Sensation is a worldwide device and we have dev's from all over the world making roms for us.
Yes the development on the sensation is great when you go to the development already you can find update every single day down there are you use or droid actually now it's called coin droid and it's updated all the time I love since 4 it's much better than all the other senses once people get a little bit more tweaks going for it it'll be perfect so I also thank the devs good job.

Watch your language and attitude when posting on XDA.
Or suffer the consequences...
Having previously been on the MT4GS before this, I can tell you that the phone doesn't suck whatsoever. In fact, with the physical keyboard I actually prefer it to the Sensation. I do like the big screen I must admit, but the MT4GS can do everything this phone can do (and the camera pummels this one). Yes, there's a lack of support for the phone despite having the same hardware as the Sensation, but don't knock their devs. For being so few, they've accomplished quite a bit.
If you want a ROM without sense, try Virtuous Inquisition. That one's as stable as almost anything here, with some nice OC/UV features that enhance battery life. If you want Sense, Virtuous PrimaDonna or Pyr'O'Ice Sensed (I believe they're now the same thing) work just fine for DD's. There are a few bugs, but that's to be expected with almost every ROM that does not have official support. As for GB ROMS, anything on there works pretty well, but people seem to be very fond of Bulletproof.
It is awesome to have all these ROMs to choose from now, but there are still some very good good (albeit few in number) ones for the Doubleshot.
Hurrah for vorbeth

XDA Sensation Developers Rock!!
I have to say that as a pretty new user here, the level of support from both Developers and also senior members is really fantastic. It really blows away other forums I have been part of previously.
I would also agree with the above. Coming from a Blackberry to my Sensation and Android was a big change for me. All of my answers were to be found for getting the device rooted and running a custom rom in no time.

Thanks for following the rules and using search.
check out the HTC HD2(Leo) section of XDA... i think that is the most dev friendly phone of all time
I'm newly registred to this forum but been looking around XDA since a few months back and never registred (really can't say why) and I must say that the atmosphere is great here on XDA, there is alot of support from devs as well as members of the site and I love it and the devs seems to know their thing. See you around the forums!
EDIT: I must agree with shee-b. All my questions already had answers and I as well got S-OFF and a custom rom running from a completly locked Hboot in no-time thanks to all the great guides and of course with a bit of help from the search function
Bad time to have a sensation, Has anyone else noticed the only consistant roms from developers now are ordroid and vorbeths ones? Haven't seen Baaad for a while and his rom says finished,Leedroid hasn't had an update since the One X. Not to seem rude but they seem to have taken the donations for a new device and buggered off :'(

Well, yes, on ine hand it does feel like it. On the other, there isn't much more to do.
I agree with whoever said that Hd2 is the best forum. Members are extremely helpful there.
I'm glad Sensation forum is becoming like that. Tou should have seen it a year ago, it was a right sh****le. Flaming, abuse, name calling.... You name it.

I must agree. I have successfully overcome my fears of rooting. The devs have all done fantastic work, and the guides are great.

Thanks for the Good Times Guys :)

Thanks for all the custom roms and development that's been going on in this forum since the desire S release. I've had my desire S for about 14 months now and I've been following this forum for about a year. Just like to say I'm gonna miss it. I've had great help with my issues and there has been so many fantastic roms. I hope you get the kernel source soon I've just got the One S and I'm selling my desire S so thanks guys. Anyone else making the same move with me any time soon?
Good bye mate I personally wanted a One S, but the one in India has an S3 chip and I wanted the S4. Plus, it's much costlier than I expected, so I'll stick to the Desire S. Enjoy your new phone
Another one bites the dust!
See you around! Enjoy your new device! don't forget to pop into the OFF TOPIC thread and let us know how you are getting on and what you make of your new device.
Jelly .. :3 .. See you around mate!
I'll see you around guys. Cheers for the send off! I may keep glancing back at this forum to try and help a few guys if they have issues

Good bye :)

Hey guys I just wanted to tell you guys that I'm leaving this forum as in I bought HTC desire x which seems to be way better then pico. Traded of my Pico and bought this one and I'm really happy that I made this decision.
It was a really good pleasure talking, discussing different things bettween you all guys, wonderful experience and ill miss it.
I always go for HTC because of sense and sense 4 on Pico was the worst, not blaming the Rom, sense 4 itself on desire c is crap, my device was runing sense 4 and recently I got an update to JB and to my suprise all the lags have gone+it looks so nice in a bigger display. Desire x forums even have full sense JB roms. Still ill root it and flash then as soon as possible.
I appreciate all the effort made my all the members of this forums for correcting me, spreading the right word, etc. Many users have been great and helpful likewise many were stupid and dumb as hell, no offence, they were noobs haha and still fun hanging out here.
@Apex-Predator I waitied for you're Rom so long and at last I couldn't resist and bought a new better device
Good bye guys! It was really fun here and I learnt many things from you all, thanks !!

Will there come any custom ROMS?

Hello,
I wanted to ask, if the would be come any custom ROMs, especially Viper? Are there any plannings by the devs?
I hope I may ask such a question.
Such questions are not really appropriate. I don't know if Viper - even though they resumed development on the U11 will come to the U12+ as well. Only time will sure. But I guess LeeDrOiD is a candidate if it comes together rich HTC Sense based ROMs. Let's see what time brings.
Regarding AOSP there are some treble ROMs in the project treble section on this forum. I guess one might already be able to boot one or another, but they will lack support for such features as Edge Sense.
Lastly we got to let the device arrive and see how things are going to unfold. Be patient and you shall see.

Leedroid already said he was intending to develop for the u12+. He has a fund going to get the phone (I think he just met his goal) and I recommend you contribute just so we can reward him for his hard work. This is definitely a ROM we should all want!
Check out his work and donate at http://www.leedroid.co.uk/

Free htc u11 to a dev for testing purposes

This post is really for a Dev who contributes to this great forum. I am very grateful for the time/money involved providing free tutorials, apps, etc that improves my phone immensely. For that reason I wanted to give back in a meaningful way. Now I have the chance. Recently I purchased a HTC u11 that I do not want. My heart is attached to m9- so I bought another. The u11 is free to anyone that needs it for the good of the community. It is brand new, unlocked, gsm phone with charger and headphone. I just need to know where to send it?

Thanks for being the first to inquire about the phone. Honestly I was wondering if I might need to keep it for the lack of interest. I responded to your question via private message.
thank you!
And my advise is you must post this somewhere else, because:
Any active developer here already has a U11, so they probably dont want 1 more.
Any other developer (dont have U11) would never come here in this sub-forum.
That's why .

Hi, I know the development of the Venom ROM has been slow lately and one of the reasons is the current Viper ROM dev does not have a U11 anymore available for testing, he would be glad to continue development if he had a device he could test on it himself before releasing unfinished development to the community you can contact him directly if you want hi username is @mikalovtch, please consider talk to him if you haven't decided yet to who send the device. thanks in advance!! Also as another option you could become a tester for him with the device yourself if you want to do that.

I second that. As a former Team Venom Beta member I am still happily using Viper on my U11 and I am not intending to give up that phone anytime soon. However, should HTC get their act together and really release a "Working" and hopefully "bugfree" Android 9 ROM, we will need our developer to port the current Viper over to the new Android 9 base. So, I suppose Jean has talked to our developer already (I'm not in touch anymore) and if he really signaled a "yes" to yet another port, I would be more than happy to know he has a phone to work on. Thank you for providing this excellent opportunity.
I was lucky enough to receive a device from a like minded person back in the HTC M8 days, for my firmware testing stuff (which always had a high bricking risk attached to it) and I can only say, such donations enable a ton of work being done here. That is really quite something. Thank you.
