I came across some info today and just want share with you guys!
http://www.addictivetips.com/window...comprehensive-android-ios-manager-yet-review/
this looks promising but i see resemblance to the functions of KIES with the only difference that you can migrate data to iOS (which i would never do). Anyway its free so worth a try.
Opinion
So what do you think of it after you try? I really appreciate its feature.Above all, it is free so worth try.
Talk about this
Guys, free to talk about this, I want to know your opinions. Thanks!

Hi, I am looking to develop windows mobile apps for my HTC HD2 and I was wondering if there is a free online course or some places that I can learn everything I need to know to start developing ASAP, I hope to become good at this and I will be posting on the forums frequently but can someone help me out? It would be greatly appreciated if you could give me some links.

ASAP? you could also begin with Visual Basic. thats Easy to learn and quite powerful.
hey yo techburrow i am really new to smartphones and apps. i got my hd2 less than a month ago...but i feel the same way...it feels like it's really underground to learn and teach this stuff. i wish i new someone to teach me some of it...but i have learned more on this topic at this site in a week than anywhere else. it is truly wonderful. have you tried wikipedia for more info? i wish this site had a "xda term dictionary". i'm having trouble just figuring out what words mean...but maybe they do and i haven't found it yet. good luck...your first app should be for people llike you who want to know how to build there own apps and don't know how. "myappbuilder" or something...peace.

P.S. Don't expect to learn all this stuff overnight, it's a long hard slog to become any good at it. Even then you'll still find room for improvement.
Good luck and don't give up.

Hi Everyone,
We just completed our android version of iKamasutra. This is the original app from 2008 that is designed to to inspire couples to try out new positions. As you can tell by the name we originally developed it for iPhone, but are now really making an effort to make it even better for Android.
To reach this goal, we greatly appreciate all types of feedback, from if the name is stupid to have on Android market to new feature requests.
You can find more info about the app at lovekamasutra.com/android and there is also a Lite version that is free to try out. So please let us know what you think!
Where are the differences between lite and paid version?
Sent from my GT-I9000
10,33mb is quite a lot for an application, isnt it? A bit too much for me, so i guess i am restricted to doing the missionary position for the rest of my life....
Sent from my x32 using the licking write method....man I am thirsty now!
Hi, the difference is that the free app has ads and 25 positions to try it out. The full one currently has 106 and will expand.
The size of 10mb could be hefty but we got plenty of custom graphics with audio so it's really hard to make it much smaller. The full app is currently 17mb and we aim to never go past 20mb. Can it become a problem?
For people who cant write the apps back to sd it might be a problem i guess... but maybe i am the only one...

Ok, what size would be good if you can't put it on a sd card?
One marketing suggestion would be to change the name. It really irks me when apps have "i" on android.

It really 'irks' me when people make these comments rather than about the app. The name is FINE, stop relating it to Apple.
Nice one, not one for me but i'm sure many will try it
Downloaded the free app and ended up paying for the paid version. It's only a buck after all. Sure looks like I'm going to have to start flexing and hitting the gym more for some of these positions!!
Alright, any more feedback regarding the interface, interaction, or performance is still very welcome! or well, any other comments to you would like to share with us
Thanks!
Not bad, not bad at all. Nice design. Like a funny "tried" button. It is really useful.
Here is the app I have but would like something better.
zombiesaresexy.com/Zombie_Android_App/App_1/zombiesaresexy.apk
So I started a site called zombiesaresexy.com and have wanted an app for it from day one.
The site is built on Wordpress and I just want a simple app that pulls in the RSS feeds and allows people to read the full post from the app.
I have tried App Inventor for Android but have no luck making heads or tails of it.
If anyone would want to help out (make it and share with me how its done) or just has a good framework for something like this that would be great.
Really, I have seen a lot of people wanting there own App this just pulls in the RSS from there site so I am amazed there is not a framework so people can just plug and play.
But any help would be great!
Thanks!
Ok, is there anyone that would build on for money?
I don't mind paying for it and would nit mind having adds in the app so your could make money that way to.
Send me a pm if you want the job and give me a price.
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
There's already tons of apps that can do this, try one of these.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/buzzbox-news-rss-google-reader/com.buzzbox.mob.android.news
http://www.appbrain.com/app/pulse-news-reader/com.alphonso.pulse
Yeah but I am wanting this app to hand out on my site.
How much you willing to pay?
I dont know the time it would take to do this app.
But if its not to hard I will pay $50
If it is something that will take a lot of time and work We can work on the price.
Also to help me keep the cost down I am willing to have the google ads on it. in hopes that who ever makes the app can make a few bucks that way.
Id be glad to help you for free, XDA isn't about paying for service, its about sharing knowledge and helping users
That would be really cool!!
If you check out the .apk I have linked to, I am ok with it being simple as that.
The only things I rally care about is that it has an icon, the app I have now just uses a slandered android icon
And it reading the full post from the app and linking to the post if they want to comment.
There are a few parts to the site.
Main post
stories
video
questions
But all get pulled in with the rss feed
http://zombiesaresexy.com/feed/
So I am not sure if it is just as easy as pulling in the feeds?
Also, I hope to get this on the Android market but it is just something I want to hand out to readers.

If you want to hire a developer to do it, you're probably looking at $1000 or more in the end. $50 doesn't really cut it.
Yeah I got a few quotes and the range was from $700 to $900.
Not really the money I want to spend just for having fun on a site so I thought I would ask here.
If I dont get any where with it I am ok with that and will looking it to making an app on my own latter down the road when I have time to learn what it takes.
But as you can see someone has offered to make me app. So I am happy with that and even tho he said he did not want money for it I will donate something thing.

Really I will pay if someone will make this! I can get it on the market I just need the app made.
Hoping to keep it low and because of that I know it will not look the best. I just want some thing that works.
Thanks
Have you PM'd Captainkrtek? He's a good guy, I'm sure he just forgot to get back to you.. give it a shot.

I am willing to help too.
I have been working on an rss reader. Do you still need it?
Greetings,
I've just published my first app on the market. So I'm trying to get a little exposure
NumberFun is a brain excercise using basic math equations. Here is a link to my blog which has a screen shot and instructions in the app's introduction post.
http://jrdevapps.blogspot.com
It's on the market for $0.99
Back in mid development stage, I posted a question about how to get debugging to work with the ViewSonic GTablet I bought using Eclipse for development. Got a lot of good tips and help, but unfortunately never was able to debug on it.
But alas, I did get the app developed and test on several devices. Works great!
Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any takers
Thanks very much in advance.
I think that your first app should be free...
Hmmmm...
That wasn't quite the response I was looking for.
But thanks for giving me a peek anyway.
You may be right, but I couldn't see putting this out there for free with the amount of time I put into it. There was quite a learning curve (unfamiliar development environment, SDK, never had a device before this, etc).
I agree, you would probably expect a first app to be something quite simple and under the above conditions, maybe not put together very well. But, if I do say so myself, I think I did an excellent job for a first try. At least no testing has had any force closings ...and I've tested the h... out of it.
Anyway, I appreciate the input.
I agree, at least for a time being. Since it is your first app you are most likely looking for feedback on what you did well, what not so well, and what to change so your next app is infinitely better right out of the box. You are more likely to get that feedback if your app is accessible. I'm not saying this because I want your app free, just trying to be helpful
Ok...I AM new to this, and maybe I should have considered that. I'm afraid I can't undo it now.
But don't let the fact of it being my first one scare you away. It really does work well.
Thanks for the advice.
Maybe you can publish a "lite" version with lesser features so that your users can get a feel of the game. I believe it might also lead to more people buying the paid version. Just a suggestion
Sent from my GT-I5801 using XDA App
You may be on to something. But, that would at the very least be a challenge to find a way to take functionality out of it.
Let me think on it
OK...It's now free on the market
I've listened to the replies about making the first app a free one. Also, Further testing with other people have given me ideas on better functionality. Consequently, I've put in several improvements and just published the free version (NumberFun Lite).
The original NumberFun has been upgraded with those improvements PLUS more!
So feel free to give it a try. If you like it, please give some feedback on the Android Market.
Thanks to all for your replies.
Has anyone tried this??
I'm just wondering if anyone from this forum has given the game a try.
I appreciated the responses I got when I first started this thread. Bitter tasting advice was given out as I was not prepared to modify the app for a free version.
But, I heeded what was being said and came out with a free version as well as a better paid version.
So now they're out there. Yes there have been 50 to 100 downloads of the free version...but I'm not getting ANY feedback besides one comment from a co-worker
I'm only asking that if you have tried NumberFun Lite, to please leave some feedback (either here or on the Android Market). And If you haven't...Why not
Not a bad game, but better graphics and sound effects would be nice
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I thinks that I will try it in my HTC desire.
Thanks for your great work.
Hey enragedpaza,
Thank you for checking it out. The feedback is priceless!
Yes, better graphics is one area I'm now exploring. I've never used OpenGl before and I'm purging through tutorials on this.
Again...your input is greatly appreciated.

very tanx much!!!!!:good::good:
Hello all,
I am not really any kind of coder or developer myself. However, I am looking for someone who is -- maybe someone new to the game, to help me with an app I'd like to have on my phone (HTC Thunderbolt).
It's basically a time-card app, pretty simple. There are numerous of these out there, but I'd like to have one specifically geared towards my industry. There are already a couple that exist for the iPhone, but none that I can find for Android. Below are examples of what I'm talking about:
http://www.crewtimecard.com/
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wrap-time-time-card-for-film/id335510869?mt=8
I'd like to make a better one, and one for Android. Really, it would be just for my personal use, but I'm sure many others would be interested as well. Perhaps if someone out there is a developer as a hobby, looking for more practice, etc., this might suit that person. I'd love to talk about collaborating on such a project.
Thanks!
Not to be rude, but I'd be surprised if anyone bites on your offer. Developing and testing apps properly takes a significant amount of time and dedication, and the examples you gave indicate that the app you're looking for could be quite complicated. Unless you come across a developer that happens to need the same thing, or that you are willing to pay, you may be SOL.
Of course, this sounds like the perfect opportunity to learn how to program! There are plenty of great websites out there that will walk you through the entire process form scratch. Good Luck!

Not really.
These 2 site can help you from scratch.

Sounds like you might need to learn several languages to accomplish your goal. Not sure of one particular one to meet your goal.
