Install/Upgrade
Download and extract the folder from Kustom-Kream_n7p-v1.zip to any folder of your choice
Reboot device using paper clip then quickly press and hold reset until you get black screen with usb plugged in
When windows wants driver give it the respective folder for your os (32bit or 64bit) from Drivers folder
Run RK29update.exe if status bar on bottom reads Found RKAndroid rock usb you are good but if it shows
No Found RKAndroid rock usb repeat steps 2-3
Leave the default selected items if you are doing fresh install or just select System if it is upgrade
If this is your first time installing you are required to tick the Loader option otherwise ignore this step if you are upgrading
If you are doing fresh install click EraseIDB after it finishes then click Run otherwise JUST do Run
if you are upgrading
If all went well your Next7P will reboot into custom rom
WARNING: Installing this will remove all your data & apps if you select more than System!!!
Factory Restore
Download and extract the folder from n7p_rescue_kit.zip
Reboot device using paper clip then quickly press and hold reset until you get black screen with usb plugged in
When windows wants driver give it the respective folder for your os (32bit or 64bit) from Drivers folder
Run RKBatchTool.exe if square number 1 is green on bottom you are good but if it shows as grey repeat steps 2-3
Click Restore
WARNING: Restoring factory default will remove all your data & apps!!!

What is your serial number series? I've only tested it on the yf1011 series and many say the 1011 roms work on 1211.

Hi.... just using plain Winrar... nothing special.... weird.... going to download again....
Besides.... I found my NP7 is serial YF08.... geezzz.... I dunno if try or not... I dont know the diferences with YF10.... What do you think ? Too risky to try ?

Well downloaded "n7p_rescue_kit.zip" again.... not ""RKBatchTool.exe"" in the file... opens fine, no CRC errors... Wich folder contains that file ? Maybe I overlooked...

1011 and on got different wifi/touch key hardware it seems.

Also it has a stock rom linked if you want to go pure stock.

Hmm no serial # found any where. Bought this tablet at a pawnshop yesterday.
All works fine except wifi. Am sure it's the rom. Went back to factory firmware and it worked fine again...
Looking at manufacturers site serial # should have been on the back bottom, some sort of green small sticker, but it is missing. Any way to find out? I don't have box either...

Since wifi don't work id say it's at least a 0911 model since the 1011 and up did change wifi. The serial number is based on manufacturing date (eg my 1011 is from october 2011) and in theroy can be fuond from the build number line on stock. What does the "Build Number" line in devices about screen show for yours?

Well Wifi could probably be fixed it was able to figure out what the wifi module is but the driver arch between gb and ics MAY be diff so that would be major obstacle and beyond me but perhaps someone could port it.

Glad i could help you get past the hell of GB... once you go ICS you don't go back. It may not be the most perfect ics implementation but at least it works.

Yep a qwerk of the ics stock rom it is based on sadly... some apps that should work wont install. I just install on phone then backup using ES File Explorer then install via file manager.
I was looking at faking nexus s to bypass the issue tho.
Edit: Tried messing with build.prop and all i got was changed ui when i faked acer a100 no app support differences.

I know people just love those "me too" posts, but here's another. I can confirm that CWM is not recognizing the Volume keys on my device. It will recognize the Power button, but of course all that does is reboot the device since "reboot system now" is the initial choice. Just the the record the Volume keys do work when the device is booted, so I know it's not a physical key issue.
Holding down Vol- during poweron does boot the device into recovery.
There is a version Clockworkmod in the craptastic default 1Mobile Appstore, but it does not seem to work the method outline in this post.

For those that have problems with CWM recovery not recognizing the up and down volume keys, try using an external USB keyboard and use the volume up and down from the keyboard. It should work for you as it did for me.

If it has 512 mb then you will probably want the 7_11 ROM. You may be good to try the latest one for that which is d2012. Adb does a backup of the current ROM and transfers it to the PC you are using so you have a restore image. I posted a lot in there when I did my daughters but haven't heard from OP since.

Ah sounds good. We got this for our daughter to abuse as she was after our nexus 7's. Cheapest tablet we could find. Screen is already cracked from being dropped but still works and it was in a case lol. Wish I could find good childproof bumpers for this.

Yeah op stopped with these a while back. I only have the 512 version that I'm hosting in the other forum. Doubt it will work in a newer model though.

Working Viber for Huawei Ascend Y300

Recently I bought this phone in India and was very sad to see that latest viber version doesn't work properly on its stock JB firmware. There was incoming sound but no outgoing voice. I reported the bug to Viber Customer support just to get a sorry reply from them showing inability to provide any suppprt for this handset.
Well, not the end of road here for me as I started testing all historical versions of this app until I found ine that is completely working with all features of viber.
Posting it here for anyone facing this problem.

I know this version is without so many bell and whistles. But, for a phone with less ram, it suits the purpose as the latest APKs are heavy and laggy on my phone with so many other apps.
However, a new WORKING version is always welcome which is not yet available.

Hi ammujee,
i tested more Versions and i found out that Version 2.3.2.61 works too. This Version is more stable for me with better Soundquality on my Y300 and it has some stickers....yay !

So i tested around a little more and found out how and where the Stickers are saved in the apk (along with the matching .xml files). So i used 7zip to copy the new Sticker files from the lastest Viber to the 2.3.2.61 Version. Sadly i have no clue how to Sign the .apk as it needs signing.
So here is the modified 2.3.2.61 Viber with all the latest Stickers BUT without signing: http://d-h.st/dBR
Maybe someone from XDA could help me out how to sign the thing...i tested some tools (zipsigner) but it seems not to work....im using Windows 7 64 Bit.

Thanks for adding 2.3.2.61. It is a bit "heavier" but still runs better than the new Version 3. And the Y300 isn't so weak with its Dualcore and 512MB RAM.
Oh and i got the the Modified Version with all the Stickers signed (second link fixed edited). Now you can install the mod it but it doesn't sync to the Viber network...damn. Must be because of the signature/key.
I wonder how the guys that make the Skype mods do it...maybe someone of them could help out. Maybe there is a way to sign it with the Viber signature/key.

On the Huawei Y300 Site there is a update for the device:

I confirm that this update is no better in terms of viber compatibility. Still testing overall performance. Back to older viber.

it seems that the issue is with the phone and not with viber.
I have the same problem with viber and mobilevoip.

Impossible! Its been tested and confirmed working by hundreds of users. Both versions from the OP work fine. Remove any current version and try re-installing.

I am using HiSuite to install it. It gets it in the list of applications to install and then when i go to the phone it says disconnected.

Good News -- New Firmware Fixes this!!

The new middle east firmware B182 (Can be installed on all except o2 roms which needs IMEI hack) fixes this viber and microphone issue.
Steps:
1. Download this firmware

2. unzip and move the update to 'dload' folder on your sd card
3. Reboot with both vol+ and vol- button pressed.
4. Let it update to B182 firmware
5. Go to system update app and check online update
6. It will show up B190 available for update.
7. Update it and you are good to go.

I bought mine from cpw from 02 and i suspect that it has on 02 rom on it.
How do i hack the imei then?

How to Connect Sony DriveLink (MirrorLink) With GS4

Intro
This is a tutorial for how to use Sony's car system(s) to their maximum potential. I cant guarantee this works with every model, however, because I only have the XAV601BT (seen in picture above). Before you do this, you need to make sure the latest firmware is installed. For a guide on that CLICK HERE.(NOTE: This link is for the XAV601BT. If you have a different device, go HERE, enter your model number on the bottom left, and click "Update to the Latest Firmware")
Step 1: Enable "Unknown Sources"
From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > More tab > Security.
Tap Unknown Sources.
A check mark is displayed to indicate it is active.
This is to make your phone allow the instillation of the modded DriveLink.
Step 2: Download the Mod
On your phone, go to the following link (I will post mirrors at the bottom):

Step 3: Install
Now, from the Home screen, tap Apps > Downloads > DriveLink.apk.
You should see this:
Scroll to the bottom, and hit Install.
Note: This app does not cost money. The reason it says that is because it has the ability to answer and make phone calls/texts.
Step 4: Connect to USB
Finally, you need to open MirrorLink on your system. Connect your phone (use your charger cable), and the DriveLink application should instantly start.
Note: You will still get an error on the system when you plug your phone in saying the phone isn't compatible, but you can just ignore it.
Conclusion
I really hope this could help! I spent a while troubleshooting this problem, and luckily found a working link by AuRoN89. It managed to save me money on an additional navigation system. If you have any questions or concerns about this, I will try my best to help. I didn't make this modded version, so I can't answer any questions about what was changed. This guide was simply made as a resource for other people who couldn't find any information on this.

The application will launch but when I connect the usb cable I just get the device not supported message.

On my S4 its working fine but today the kitkat release has been available and i cant update my phone because of that.

SGS4 DriveLink with Pioneer AppRadio3
Recently installed a Pioneer AppRadio3 head unit. Had DriveLink working perfectly until AT&T pushed the KitKat update OTA. Now DriveLink won't open. I want my old ROM back.

Please i need it too for kit kat. Anybody know the way?

Only with 4.3 firmware and modified apk... Since 4.4.2 update it stopped working =/

Any more news? I have installed custom lollipop (on the internet it saids mirrorlink is supported in lollipop) but can't find it en if I install drive link I got the same error (drive link is stopped working).

Bump. I was unfortunate to be stuck with an ATT s4 that had the 4.4.2 update preinstalled (**** you ATT)... and I bought a used sony XAV-601BT thinking this would work... nope.

I have a note 4 with mirror link, and a XAV-601BT, is there no hope for me? I did the firmware update on the head unit, but nothing. Phone just kind of ***** out saying its in mirror link, and head unit keeps saying reconnect phone.

I added a button "Delete File " in the case when downloading some files you have problems, you can delete the corrupted files directly from the tool instead of going to look for it manually.
If you have any problems during installation then first try to update the Microsoft Net freamwork to latest version:

HOW TO INSTALL
Download .zip file;
Right click on zip and go in file properties;
Set "Unblock", then click on "Apply" and "OK" (If you don't see it continue the installation guide). Guide picture:
Extract all its contents into a folder;
Click on setup.exe;
Click on "Install";
Waiting for the end of the process;
Enjoy your tool
UPDATE
There will be no need to re-download the new tool, but just look for new updates directly from the tool.
In all cases I'll update the link in this thread and report it when there are new updates with its changelog.

For now, the bootloader can't be unlocked, so there are no root possibility

Devs from the axon 7 root it whit out unlocking the bootloader so !

Dev use OEM unlock command to unlock bootloader. This doesn't work on Nokia6.

Is Burmese supported by Morelocale Pro? Also, so you know if this will work on the US phones sold by Amazon?

Are you able to make a firmware backup or does that take more access than what you were able to do here?

I made a system backup but it is not complete because we have not root access.

Ah, ok. I wasn't sure if you needed root access just for a full firmware backup or not.

Yes root access is needed to make a full firmware backup

Keeping an eye on this thread in hopes of someone being able to unlock the bootloader and ROOT Just got my Amazon Nokia 6 and I too am impressed by the build quality. Not as fast as my current NEXUS 6 - but fast enough for what I need. Might keep or return the phone for a Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra (white).

Are you able to get the Amazon one in the 64GB of space and 4GB of RAM? I couldn't find it. That's the only reason I didn't go that route.
Apparently you can root it with Infinity Box Chinese Miracle 2.

No the Amazon / Unlocked models sold through Amazon are only the 32GB / 3GB RAM North American models. I'm not familiar with the Infinity Box (had to Google it) and the capabilities. Is that the only way it can be rooted right now?

That's all I can find. And you cannot use the software without purchasing a dongle and the dongle needs to include the Chinese Miracle 2 addon. That's so crazy. I thought software dongles were done in the 90s.
