Hello all. Trying to figure out why my battery left app says its 100% accurate but on my lock screen it will say 75% left there, and 56% left on the app. Are there any free or paid apps that are more accurate yet not giant Widgets?

I'm about to test out a 1700mah battery is bought. I wanted to see if there is a good accurate battery/phone usage app so I don't have to guess about how many text, calls, and how long I web browser or played games for? I really need one asap cuz I'm about to unplug for my first full battery cycle.

Battery left. Install it, use your phone like you normally would until it dies. Repeat, and it will have a fairly accurate estimate of the amount of time left until your phone dies.
This is especially useful of you use set CPU profiles.

Battery Monitor Wdiget. Developed by someone here at XDA (Sorry I cannot remember who. I'm terrible with names) It's pretty powerful yet doesn't draw a significant amount of power.

Just downloaded this and am loving it! Gives tons of current and past details of your battery. Definately worth a download.

Whats a good battery App to see which programs use the most power for an unrooted phone?
Settings>about phone>battery usage.

It's not very accurate at all. Supposedly the displays Samsung uses are power sippers (according to them anyway), and I have apps that stay on in the background for no apparent reason that never show up on the list.

I personally like Battery Monitor Widget. It's free, so if you don't like it, you can uninstall it.
So I looked at my battery usage today and I was on 21 hours with the Handcent App using 48% of the battery. I don't remember the stock App using that much. Any ideas as to why that's doing that?

I'm just gonna guess that it's a bug since most of the time it says 98% of the battery was used by "display" and that's clearly not accurate. If Handcent is putting a significant drain on your battery life I'd recommend uninstalling and using GO SMS Pro, I tried it and won't go back to Handcent. It looks cleaner and boots up faster(about 2-3x faster), give it a try!
I think I figured it out. If you use the widget it drains the battery. I just changed it to the shortcut to the app and now I'm on a day with only four percent usage.

That's a bummer, the widget was my favorite part about the app :[ I guess the notification bar will have to do.

Get an app called App Quarantine
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ramdroid.appquarantine
You can select it as a widget and it will only unfreeze and launch Maps when you use the widget. You can then close Maps and re freeze it with the widget. Location stuff still works fine using google location services, you won't notice a difference in any other apps.

I'm confused or the problem here. Your unplugged for 5.5 his already. Your battery appears to be around 75% still. Also, all those apps are only 55% of your drain. Which means your screen is the other 45% which I'd guess is around an hour screen time. So you're on pace for 22 hours up time with 4-5 hours screen time..... That's solid battery life! Something is always going to be number one on your wake lock list.

Even still 150+ wakeups in 5 hours is a bit ridiculous. Even with location reporting. With it off maps shouldn't be waking the phone at all

Settings / battery. THe page before the graph you posted - which apps are listed there, and what are the %? (That said, you use the phone a lot - there is a lot of screen on/ awake time on your graph. Turn the screen brightness down maybe?)

I am also getting the issue. I'm on 6-7, 24.3.7, rooted, and if I use it intensely it will go down to 14% before 3:30 PM. I'm surprised, as the issue never happened when I got the phone new.
If your screen is 42%, you're just using it a lot. The Mini has a small battery. Maybe you can try setting brightness down, but it looks like this is drain because you use it rather than a runaway app or process.
That said, Google Play services and Google services have been running high on my usage list lately. There's not much you can do about that, except maybe turn off background sync, which sort of negates the reason I bought a smartphone in the first place.
Battery Doctor
Guys, I have been using Battery Doctor for few days, I have noticed positive effect on battery life. Maybe someone is interested to try..
