Unable to send MMS with the leaked Froyo UCJI6. The image shows up as a slide and then fails to send.
I previously used market access, but reverted back to AT&T APN settings, and have verified that the APS settings are correct, but still unable to send MMS'. Is anyone else having this issue and has anyone found a fix. Thanks

Where do you check MMS settings?
This sucks; you'd never know you were not receiving MMS until someone asks if you received it. Also, you'd never know until you try and send an MMS.
I can send MMS just fine running Cog 2.2. Haven't received one lately so I can't comment on that end. I'm also using Handcent so it could be something with the stock MMS.
Just set message center to +13123149810 its blank for some reason fixed it for me.

Mine was already set to that.
If I go into APN settings, the username and password are blank and you can't edit them...so my guess is that its something related to that.
When i try to send a MMS, I get "error in server response".

Thats what fixed it for me anyways. I dont know why but it was blank for me then that worked.

very weird... but now, all is fine.
went to check the APN settings under settings, network
then wen to check the message center settings
then, asked a friend to send me an mms, replied with an mms...
all seems to work now. weird.
Try sending the word "Test" to 151 & see if att replies. Thats what att told me to do then that worked mut other messages failed then they asked for my IME # then they told me to set message center to +13123149810 & turn the phone off & remove the battery for at least 30 secs. (I think they might have done something too) Then it just started working when I turned it back on. (I never mentioned 2.2 or gave them any indication that the phone wasn't stock)

The Message Center address is for SMS only and has no impact on MMS. It is only needed for outgoing (mobile originated) text messages.
I was able to get MMS working by creating a new APN using the following settings. After I set it up, I selected the new APN and rebooted.

Had this happen to me too...weird about the slide show play thing...did find that if sending to local # the 1 was not required (none of my contacts on Google or in Outlook include the 1). When I tried it with the 1 for non-local #'s it went through fine.
Called AT&T tech and they fixed mine. Now working. Able to send and receive.

I'm able to send an mms if i share from the gallery, but not if i attach directly from the messaging app.
Hi,
I'm on valhala final(2.3.6) with KJ1 modem and when I try to send MMs it says something like:" currently unable to send your message.it will be sent once the service will be available".
I don't have a data connection because it costs a lot in here.(i.e I can only access internet with wifi)
any ideas?

Have you tried using a different modem to see if it helps? A factory data reset may help, too. Make sure you have a backup of things you want to keep, though, as the factory reset will wipe your contacts, apps, memos, messages, etc.
Look in the general section. The fix in there will probably help you. It is for Vahalla Black. But should work.

I read the Vahalla Final thread - for you - and did not see anybody post issues with mms. If you are on the Vahalla Black people had issues with the previous version that Raver fixed in his newest version.

Go to Settings
Click Wireless and network

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. a couple of things:
1)I'm not on t-mobile , actually I'm from Israel and we don't have t-mobile in here.
2)I talkeded with my carrier(Orange) tech support and they did 2 things:
- We set an APN together with the right settings for me.
- She told me that I need to have those APN enabled in their system which is currently disabled,so she enabled them in their systems.
I'm now waiting for the new settings to take place.
I'll keep you updated

Awesome. We both learned something here.
Happy New Year!
Sending mms, or multimedia messages, does require a data connection. SMS, or plain text messages, does not. If you have no network connection at all and just wifi the text will not send as they are sent over the network and not intended to be sent by wifi.
Data and calls are the only forms of transmission that goes wifi.

Neither APNs work for me in LA (an LTE market).
Supposedly the problem is in the radio. AT&T's is locked and won't let you switch.

Steps say :
13) Press Reset to default, wait, be patient and let the time and date update.
This resets the newly added APN and all I am left with is the stock pta APN.
BTW this is on Skyrocket.
What I am missing?
I hope this help throttled users. Since the wap.cingular APN bypass doesn't work anymore I use the visual voicemail APN to avoid being throttled. Create a new access point network and use acds.voicemail for APN, select internet+mms for APN type, and save. This gives me 2-3Mbps speed, good enough to stream radio and it doesn't trigger data counter.

Not sure why it's not working on others but it's working for me. You need to have visual voicemail activated with your LTE data plan. This apn is unlimited, meaning your data usage will always stay at 0. Data speed is between 2-3 Mbps. Btw if you're in an LTE area sometimes this apn won't work. Everytime I go to NYC or sometimes at Queens, my data is on/off with this apn, no big deal coz I just use the 'pta' APN.

I don't use visual voice mail, is it necessary that I do to make this work? If so, how does one "activate" it? Do I have to make a phone call to ATT or is it something I can do on my phone? Also, do you disable packet data before you switch the APN to the voicemail one and then reenable it? Of course all of this might not matter, I do live in San Francisco/LTE area...still willing to give it a shot though
Man they are gonna notice this thread and by tomorrow the apn will not work. Please remove this thread to avoid the few of us who have found that this works from getting disconnected just like the rest of the apn fixes.

Open AT&T visual voicemail app and let it setup your vvm. Once everything is done, create this apn and save. This apn only works if you're using the AT&T visual voicemail app. Like what other have said, this apn sometimes don't work if you're in an LTE area. My friend just bought a Galaxy Note and he's using this apn with no problem.
Is visual voicemail a feature that I need to add to my monthly plan? Free or $$$? I opened up the app and it says I need to dial voice mail to set it up, all I get when I go to voicemail is it prompts me for my password and then goes to the normal mailbox options

No, visual voicemail is free. It is included with your LTE data plan. When you open the app it will dial your voicemail and ask you for your password. Once you enter your password, either end call or press *. After that it will go back to the visual voicemail app again.

APN: tfdata
Port: 80
MMSC:http://mms-tf.net
MMS 66.209.11.33
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: PAP
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
This works but every now and then it will stop working.. a reboot of the phone and recconection to LTE fixes it every time, so I believe it has more to do with LTE connectivity, then the actual APN settings.
I am using the same APN for the most part but I have only been able to send pics through Hangouts. I tried Textra and GoSMS and neither will send. I used the same settings on my nexus 4 with straight talk and all mms apps worked.
