Mods / Tweaks to add to my toolkits - HTC Sensation

Anybody know any good tweaks or mods for toolkits that I can add? Give me suggestions and links would be awesome!
So far I was told to add:
- Beats Audio Hack
Anything else you guys find or know of, I'll add to my list!

I say give a try at dolby sound its quite better then beats every rom has it and its just adding too much bass when not needed ..
Dolby offers more clear and louder sound

I want to add these mods to my other toolkits. My Amaze doesn't have Beats Audio with it. None of our ROMs do. That was a suggestion I was given. lol

You can also add the 4EXT Recovery. And you could add te ability to flash kernels with the toolkit.

Oh sorry I had not noticed that may bad. But I do have another idea. Just out of curiosity are you referring to the boot into recovery option. Cause I was thinking more along the lines of flashing kernels, splash screens, and boot animations via fastboot but with a one click style.

I can add commands to flash splash screen and boot animations. It's possible. I want mods / tweaks like debloaters, improve speed, hack to make the device have a new feature. Whatever the case may be lol.

I tried that and it doesn't work
It is already in leedroid's rom. Where u turn off the screen and shuts off with the animation.

I think what people are looking for is either a zip or a how to for this. Some of us don't really need/want to flash an entirely new rom.

[Q] suggestions on getting less heat from phone

im on ARHD 3.6.2 ,
after couple of minutes of playing games but phone is super hot i mean i cant even touch the bottom part of the phone (where the home button etc is at)
anyway i know there are some solutions or think there are solutions ,
i would like to know which one you think is the best?
solutions that i think will help:
1. run the patch to down clock to 1.2 - in mike's first post
2. run the thermal patch on faux kernel's thread
3. change my kernel to bricked kernel
also i got anker battery if its important.
if you have other suggestions it will be really good to hear them out.
I ran the thermal patch and it has worked pretty well for me. I haven't had my phone get as hot as you were describing earlier however, it was uncomfortable to hold even through my case.

Sorry about the delay, it took me a little while to find it again.
Download link below.

Happy flashing!
Edit: Don't forget to clear your cache partition and your dalvik caches. And remember ALWAYS back-up prior to flashing, just incase.

The faux kernels and patch is based on HTC source code for the above patch. The patch you want to use for CM7 can be found at the link below.

you guys might want to download faux clock apk to help with the manual set up of the kernel specs.
just a suggestion. always helps to know exactly what your working with and be in control. its a little more detailed than say oc daemon.
side note: remember to try and uninstall if you have issues in the future trying to flash new kernels.
i will give a try to the thermal patch..
but i dont holds to much hope for it to work...
unless it some miracle patch
my phone getting really hot.. its really weird what is the reason
Would this patch work on the stock kernel?

What setup do you have? Currently I'm running Android Revolution HD 4.1.3 with faux kernel 0.2.2 beta 2 and I am getting no heat problems like I was when I was running 0.2.1 final. I also have amaze camera, modified bootanimations, EQS, APM, custom battery icon, and the 4G symbols added on. Only thing I did was switch my kernel. The patch helped with the 0.2.1 final faux kernel some but not as much as I would have liked so I switched kernels. I would recommend giving this kernel a try. Link below

No need to cool it down.
If it gets that hot, there is a problem with either sw or hw, it's not normal. So instead of healing symptoms you should look for a cause.
i cant think of any cause,
as my phone worked great before i rooted it and installed ARHD
after i got mike's Rom each time (no matter which version) i ran a game (most likely angry birds) for more then 10 min the phone start to get really really hot.
so.. any ideas? its must be a rom issue which need to be fixed but i got no clue what to do next

Mike's ROM over clocks the CPU and that can result in generating a lot of excess heat. Use the Daemon to put the CPU back to the wake max setting of 1188000.

Recovery

What is the best recovery? I know most rooms use revolutionary but what are the peeks of the other ones and why not stick with clock work? I tried figuring it out but don't know.
Sent from my MIUI.us Sensation 4G using XDA App
devs are using more 4ext cause it gives you options to install engines and what not
4EXT has a great UI and is really easy to use.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA App
I've been a clockwork fan for a while, but it took all of 12 seconds to make me happy that I switched to 4EXT. It's REALLY easy to use.
It also shows battery % and the time in recovery. If something is taking a while that can be really handy to know that your battery is running down before you start a flash process. It's no fun is the battery dies in the middle.

What are engines? And what is this 4ext touch thing I hear about? Can you use the touch screen in the recovery? That would be great.
Btw thanks to everyone who replied. I was considering switching but wasn't sure if I should.

I think engines as in the Sony Bravia one? So basically Devs can give you the option while flashing, to select many options and add-ons, for example I just flashed InsertCoin 4.4.1 and halfway through it asked if I wanted to have a 1.5ghz overclock or add BeatsAudio. And Yes, it is touch screen making it a lot easier, as you can imagine!

4 ext recovery is great! The devs have done serious work
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
Thank you to everyone, you guys helped alot. I was skeptical at first but Im gonna give 4ext a try.
4EXT is the best, I use the 4EXT Touch!
4EXT is compatible with clockworkmod, btw. You can restore any backups using 4EXT that were made with clockworkmod, and roms that work with clockworkmod will work with 4EXT. 4EXT is actually based upon the clockworkmod code base.

If you decide to use bootmanager to dual boot ROMs, can you use a nand backup.zip file? I dont see why not, but just wanna be sure.

PROBLEM>SOLUTION touch problems on JB

Hi, first sorry to create a new thread in development section but I would be sure every one who's facing this problem can find this solution.
On JB Sense roms (viper & revelation & aosp) some users have touch problem when scrolling or when open notification bar etc
After a lot of researches I tried this:
I changed the LCD DENSITY from 240 to 250 and rebooted. AND WHAT? NO more lagging and problem with touch responsivness !!!
- Tried on viper 3.1.2 just after full wipe and installing the rom, you can try on any JB rom which give you this issue.
- I came back to 240 and the problem was back so I'm sure the problem come from LCD density even if I have no idea AT ALL of why it's related but maybe devs can give some lights.
- You can find LCD density changer on playstore or in viper rom in tweaks.
Hope this has helped.
That is going to make things larger on the screen right?
Its a bummer for me as I always change dpi to 213, I got used to it and now 240 is too big for me lol.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z715e using xda premium
And changing to 213 has solved the issue for you? I changed to 250 but not tested with others dpi, so anyone can confirm with other dpi if it works or not. Thanks
You can change density in build.prop:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
Changing density simulate different screen size.

It's a re-calibration tool which I uploaded myself, that's in my mediafire account. It wipes /data and calibrates the touchscreen.
Well, I didn't try, I recommended for you. I don't currently feel annoyed of my phone; it sometimes bothers though.
