PROBLEM>SOLUTION touch problems on JB - HTC Sensation

Hi, first sorry to create a new thread in development section but I would be sure every one who's facing this problem can find this solution.
On JB Sense roms (viper & revelation & aosp) some users have touch problem when scrolling or when open notification bar etc
After a lot of researches I tried this:
I changed the LCD DENSITY from 240 to 250 and rebooted. AND WHAT? NO more lagging and problem with touch responsivness !!!
- Tried on viper 3.1.2 just after full wipe and installing the rom, you can try on any JB rom which give you this issue.
- I came back to 240 and the problem was back so I'm sure the problem come from LCD density even if I have no idea AT ALL of why it's related but maybe devs can give some lights.
- You can find LCD density changer on playstore or in viper rom in tweaks.
Hope this has helped.

That is going to make things larger on the screen right?
Its a bummer for me as I always change dpi to 213, I got used to it and now 240 is too big for me lol.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z715e using xda premium

And changing to 213 has solved the issue for you? I changed to 250 but not tested with others dpi, so anyone can confirm with other dpi if it works or not. Thanks

You can change density in build.prop:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
Changing density simulate different screen size.

This fix doesnt work for me, i have still touch problems on any jellybean rom

Guys, try this out:

But caution, it wipes your data! Put it in root of your sd card and boot into bootloader. Then delete it after the process.

It's a re-calibration tool which I uploaded myself, that's in my mediafire account. It wipes /data and calibrates the touchscreen.
Well, I didn't try, I recommended for you. I don't currently feel annoyed of my phone; it sometimes bothers though.

Need files for my Sensation

Hello everyone,

I need, if it's possible a Backup from a Sensation z710e persson to install all correct files and settings (kernel, ROM, Radio, etc.), like a copy of the persson phone, to see if i solve my problem..
Is this possible? Is there anyone who can help me?

ICS testing

Hello,
I just got a mail from HTC Elevate saying:
Who here wants an ICE CREAM SANDWICH? We do! Hopefully you do, too. We're happy to announce the first round of software previews in HTC elevate and you are in the first group of folks who will be able to participate!
To get this rolling, we'll need you to tell us some information about your device. Once we have this info, assuming it's all 100% accurate, we'll be able to push ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) straight to you via HTC's software distribution server- like magic!
To get started, head into the ACTIVITY now.
Cheers!

[Q] ICS Wireless stuff issue !

It seems like all my phones are having problems this month.
Anyways, Sensation XE got updated to ICS in India a few days ago and i downloaded the update after which this WiFi and other wireless issues started.
My phones WiFi shows disconnected when i turn it on and when i turn it ON it says connecting and then gets OFF on its own. I tried forget network and the connected again but still the issue. Also my WiFi-Hotspot doesn't work....it reads 'turning on'...stays for a long time and then 'off'. Same thing is there with the Bluetooth. I re-booted, still nothing.
My phone is not rooted, S-ON and stock ROM....so i have pretty much no idea what to do. Tried reaching HTC via e-mail but no reply. So i turned to the best people in the job :highfive:
P.S. I dint have any problem with the phone when i was using Gingerbread.

Umm...my phone is S-ON and not rooted, that means I can't flash right ? Or did I not understand you properly ?....I'm sorry if I didn't.
But I downloaded ICS as an OTA update from HTC.

I finally got a reply from HTC...they asked me to go to their service centre.
Hope I don't get a "we will have to install a new motherboard" because that's what my girlfriend was told when her phone only needed a factory reset for a minor problem. At time when I didn't use xda.

WiFi problem

I was asked by a friend to s-off, flash Rom etc for him. I have already done two phones that went fine. This one would not s-off with wire trick. I tried over and over again. In the end I gave up and returned it to him with the orginal settings.
Now the there is a WiFi error, it won't turn on. The only thing that I did to his phone was:-
Dev unlock bootloader
Temp root
Tried to s-off (did not work)
Un temp root
Re lock bootloader
Any ideas on the WiFi?

I am having the same issue... What is the output of your logcat? Mine is saying Failed to Load Driver!
I have tried every combination of rom, kernel and even reverted to stock (as if it had rolled out the factory) and still nothing. I ahve even extracted bcmdhd driver and the bcm4239 driver from working kernels and still nothing... at my wits end. Was working perfectly right up until I updated my Rom nightly
CM10 Kang (Bruce)
Hope this help..use 4ext recovery to install Roms...berfore that...u need to have smartflash...

S-OFF and CWM, you shouldn't need smartflash unless you are S-ON

reflash stock boot.img...do the unlock of boot-loader first though ..then flash boot.img of the stock (controlbear will backup boot.img when you tried to do SOFF ..check there ) ...then relock again
When you say look in controlbear exactly where do I look and how do I flash it?

My sensation had a hardware failure. The only thing that was wrong was wifi stopped working. Hope thats not your issue, it is a known issue with sensation though. Maybe check your back cover make sure it makes contact in all the spots its supposed to, you could have a bent contact, maybe see if wifi works with a different back cover.

It's not that. It's pretty much since I messed about with it. Can't understand why s-off wouldn't work. Anyway like I said I gave up and in temp rooted and left it as it was but the WiFi has an error now. There was one strange thing when trying to s-off. When I set it back to stock it would recognize the sd card, formatting only worked doing it through 4ext and even then I had to partition it first. Maybe thus info may help you find me a fix.

What is your LogCat saying? I'm having the same problem...It's clearly not a hardware fault as my logcat is saying Failed to load Driver! when switching on WiFi. I have tried every kernel, but most just end up causing boot loops.
On Bruces Kang CM10.

I added the bcm4329 driver to my AOSP Sultan kernel's current release. My kernel's thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035897
