Timescape ported to Infuse? - Samsung Infuse 4G

I've noticed that there are people trying to port Timescape over to the Captivate or the SGSII, but no one has asked about the Infuse. I have an Xperia X10, loved timescape, but of course the X10 didn't have enough RAM to support it well enough, either that or I just didn't know what i was doing like i thought i did. I would really love it if someone could help me get Timescape ported to the Infuse.

Never heard of timescape...looked it up on youube...i did not like the look of it all, but that could just be cause im not use to it...could be one of those things that you dont think youd like but after trying it you love it
As for why no one has wanted it ported...could be because like me they did not know what it was, or they dont want it

LG Optimus Home Launcher

Hey all. I was poking around in some of the other forums and came across this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769138
This launcher looks pretty cool to be honest. Not sure if others would be interested in it or not. It seems to have a few bugs and might even require 2.1 OS but im about to give it a try on my X10.
The features are cool, most especially being able to organize the app drawer. I previously owned an LG EVE and although the phone itself sucked with Android 1.5 the LG native features were pretty decent. Ill let everyone know if it works on our phones or not. One other X10 owner seemed unable to install it so its up in the air.
*edit*
So the Home selector apk will install but its useless as the Home apk itself will not. My guess is that its for Eclair and above as the Optimus Z runs on Eclair. Seeing as the 2.1 update is due this month im assuming no one is interested in trying to get it to work on 1.6. Maybe its not even possible...I dunno.
Yup, i tried it to. Was a no go. Guess we have to wait till we have atleast 2.1 . When is that happening by the way? Hear spain anounced it for end of September.

MIUI?

I'm no dev but how possible is a port for the S?
Youd probably have to ask the porters of the english version if they have this phone and plan on pushing it to it.

Does anyone have MIUI experience? Do we know if a MIUI port is in the works? Like MANY more, I am willing to donate for this MASTERPIECE
I am so jealous of my Wife's MyTouch 4G right now! The MIUI Rom just straight poops all over the Nexus S right about now. :-(

I have no idea. I'm not really a fan of Iphone, I mean MIUI
not trying to hate on MIUI but why buy a nice phone with stock gingerbread if you are going to completely destroy the major reason anyone would get the phone.?
There is a difference between flashing CM7 and MIUI iono just doesnt make sense to me
haha^ your completely right bro
I wasn't going to say anything, but please explain how the MIUI rom "poops" all over the Nexus S? Why do you have a Nexus S?
As an ex MIUI user on the N1 (Launcher pro though - ewwww iPhone UI ) - I'd love to see it on the NS. I'd still buy another NS without a second thought though - amazing phone.
Sorry... I guess I dint word it right. I meant it is amazing as far as the customizations go A lot of cool features on it I would like to see my NS!
As Far as "pooping" all over the Nexus I am only stating this as her Snapdragon is clocked @ 1.8!
Which we will see soon!

The MIUI 12.24 is on my NS now.
Been using MIUI (on my N1 for 2 months).
Have you tried junkdrugglers MIUI theme for ADW launcher on the market? It seems to do decent justice.

I would like to play with MIUI also
use chrome to translate http://www.miui.com/thread-18522-1-1.html?extra=page=1
in the i9000 it said miui will support both nexus
Yes MIUI is definitely going to support NS as it is the official Google phone like N1. It's just a matter of time.
Was there REALLY a need or use for this thread? I mean, seriously!? It doesn't contribute anything...at all. I hate to be a **** but it surely twists my balls when I see a thread like this. Just wait and see, I'm sure an MIUI ROM will come sooner or later. It's just a matter of time. Have a nice evening .
This Is just a wish... A desire..
Threads like this lead to show the interest of a particular ROM or Theme. Without voicing your opinion how can you be heard? That's what makes a community, the openness to share and congregate.

I'm all for people voicing their opinions. However, this thread does not involve voicing any opinion. It is, more or less, an attempt to get someone to port MIUI to the Nexus S. I don't think it, in any way, involves "Themes" or "Apps." Just sayin'! I hope someone does port it just so threads like this cease to exist . That's all from me.

[Q] Xperia X10? please help.

hello every one,
i am a noob to android and am planning to get an android fone in a few days time.
played around a lot with my nokia 5800, flashing a lot of times and finally decided to do all that in something new.
so i thought to get an xperia x10. is it worth the buy?...coz i am a person who loves to change lots of thing in a phone.(..and i dont know basic differences in th android versions...)..so is xperia my kinda fone?...or is it better to go for a safer samsung galaxy s..(i like the looks of xperia way more than the samsung)..
hope to find good guides...
thnx..
help is much appreciated...
If ur looking for top of the line android, then go with the Galaxy S with out doubt... But if u want something less on the pocket and if ur OK with 2.1 then X10 is alao not a bad choice. I would personally want u to have a look at HTC Desire too. Amazing fone with almost same cost as X10.

Opinions, please! Droid vs Droid 2

Until a couple days ago, I had a rooted O.G. Droid running Cyanogenmod 7 and I LOVED it. But it fell into a bowl of water, so that's that.
Now I have the option to either use insurance to replace the Droid with a refurbished (*ugh*) Droid for about $100, or use my upgrade and get a Droid 2 for $150 (Droid 2 being, for some reason, the only phone currently available from Verizon with a physical keyboard).
My problem is, my wife has a Droid 2 and I hate, hate, oh my god I HATE Blur. I personally think it basically breaks Android with its lousy design.
Now, this could be fixed with a custom ROM (maybe even just a new launcher?), but I have been researching and I can't tell what the deal is with Droid 2 Roms. I'm gathering there is a locked bootloader, but roms are available. I'm not clear what that means, exactly. Like, in what way does a locked bootloader affect the ability to flash roms, etc.
I'm having a hard time making a decision, here. I'm not thrilled about a Droid 2, but it's only $50 more than a refurbished Droid. That said, maybe I should spend $100 on a refurbished Droid now and save my upgrade for a phone I actually want? But if Blur can be removed from the D2 fairly easily, maybe it's fine.
Please, anyone with Droid/Droid 2 experience, share your opinions. Thanks all!
Really? No one wants to help me out here? I didn't think it was a dumb question, but alright. I suppose I'll go for the D2 and hope for the best.
Go for the D2, not a bad phone keyboard is waaayyyyy better. I'm sure you could root and customize it too your liking. I would go for touch only but if you prefer the keyboard might as well go faster.
I owned a D2 but ended up getting an incredible because of the bootloader issue. I also detest blur and flashed roms/themes to hide it basically. As far as smartphone functionality, its a fine phone but I wanted to be able to totally customize my phone (radios, kernels, roms, etc). There is a small amount of development but its just really up to you as far as how much control you want to have over your phone. Definitely no cyanogen on the D2

Thanks for the replies, guys! I think I'm going to go with the D2 and do my best to nullify Blur, per k_nivesout suggestion, until another upgrade comes my way.
I like customizing and installing Roms, kernels and whatnot, but I suppose as long as I can tone Blur down, I'll be happy enough with the D2 for a year or so. Really, I just wish VZW would release a vanilla Android phone already. Annoying!
Thanks again for sharing your opinions. The fact Verizon customers like myself need even to contemplate passing up an upgrade just to avoid Blur should make VZW think twice about the value of Blur.
I had the org droid as well and it was an ok phone but as far as the d2 being the only phone with a physical keyboard that is untrue. The droid pro has a physical keyboard that kicks butt it is far and away better that the d2 imo the screen is smaller and not great however and there is no cm7 either but i threw launcher pro on it to hide blur mostly and I really like the phone for the most part. You should be able to get it for $50 CPO thats what I did and im not sorry. I think it is a great phone for some people. BUT there is zero xda support for this phone you can root it tho you will still be on froyo (coming from cm7 meh its fine). anyhow I like this phone and would love to hear that its doesnt die completly obscure. DO NOT get the d2
driod 2 all the way bro!
I had to make a decision tonight, so I went with the D2. I think if I root and replace the launcher, it will resolve most of my major issues. Though I'm going to miss Gingerbread on the O.G.
Yamjoker, you're right I forgot about the pro. I checked it out, but I guess I dismissed it due to the small screen. I have to say the keyboard is delicious on the Pro but yeah, I prefer a larger screen.
Thanks for sharing, everyone.
You can still do some fun stuff with the d2, I would recommend liberty rom, its really quite good for not being a "custom" rom. I also ran the gingerbread leaks for a little bit and its not too bad if you use a different launcher (I liked ADW w/ minimalist theme). Unfortunately the d2 section here is pretty dead, definitely check out www.droidforums.com for the latest. Good luck!

Just wanted to post a quick update. The Droid 2 with Liberty 2.0.1 suits me just fine. Even stepping back from Gingerbread, I'm quite happy. I can see now where the locked bootstrap is more restrictive, but I've found the trade off of customization vs sheer power over my Droid 1 is a fair one for now.
Btw @ k_nivesout, I think you meant to point me to droidforums.net (rather than .com). It's a great resource so thanks for that.
That's right, its .net! Sorry, I was typing from my phone and spaced that out. Glad liberty on the d2 is working well for you, don't get me wrong, I love CM7 on my incredible but I was pretty pleased (visually at least) with my previous liberty 1.5/adw ex setup.

[Q] Request

Hey fellas I started my love 4 android honestly back when the evo had came out I ran with that for about 2-3 year b4 I upgraded R.I.P EVO any way my request Is maybe one of these great devs on xda can make a port of sense 4.0 for our beloved Gs3 I love stock android I like touchwiz but I would love to just see something else like sense well please let me know if that's possible and if anyone will take on the challenge I will deff buy u a nice case of beer!
Coming from a Dinc (never made it to Sense 4.0), give TW a chance. Consider some of the things built into TW that you will lose before giving up on it.

It was tried on the International Version and they gave up.
there are themes/widgets that can help you get the look and feel of sense i think
Oo don't me wrong fellas i mean touch wiz is nice especially this " Clean ROM 3.0" I'm running but there's something about sense I like and to be honest I just like having choice and like to show off to all my friends cuz the all got iPhone

You can get the Launcher from Widget Locker and the Clock from Beautiful Widgets. You can get the wallpaper and can port the sound files. Only thing you can't fake are the Sense widgets.
