Here we go. HoloApps has picked up the CM9 Music Player for development and it's starting out quite well, except that some errors which I had encountered in CM9's Apollo is still there. Not to disappoint Gingerbread users and below, the app's running on ICS at the moment. More clearer Details on the App here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604504

Yesterday I installed the CM9 ROM linked at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437358 and also the APPS package linked there. It all looks pretty good - the cameras work (this is Android 4.0.3) BUT when I went to play music, the Google Player could not play any tracks (.ogg or .mp3)... My only success was with MoboPlayer - it would play tracks... (Tunewiki also failed as did an older version of Google Music)
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tom
This problem seems to be resolved with the 1/12/12 build. Thanks!
Tom
Hi I'm just wondering if there is a fix for a problem I'm having, when I play music it stutters the sound I've tried different music players to resolve the problem with no luck. Any advice would be great

I'm having the same problem. But only with AOKP roms, started after build 39. And I dont have the issue with CM9 or Sense 3.6 or 4 based ROMs, but i really love the toggle switches in the AOKP notification widget
did u full wipe before upgrading rom? because AOKP is known to have audio routing issues and it is fixed in some version (sorry, i did not keep up with the updates)
hope it helps =)

I've run into this problem as well, and yes I do a "format everything but SD card" prior to installing each ROM.
I noticed it first in the AOKP-based ROM EyeCandy 3.0. Whatever the dev memnoc did between that and the final 3.1 release fixed it, as a clean install of 3.1 removes the audio issues.
I'm still having the issue with the AOKP-m6 based ROM Supreme Blue

I've tried a bunch of rumored fixes:
installed awesome beats - audio still skips, but it now skips in high fidelity lol
installed DSP manager - did absolutely nothing, save provide me with an equalizer for the skipping audio
installed poweramp - this fixed the audio, however it was ONLY fixed when playing media through poweramp. Slacker, Pandora, TuneIn, Dood's Music, etc. all STILL had skipping audio issues.
My guess is that one of the default system audio libs isn't behaving nicely. Poweramp I would guess circumvents this with by using its own lib?
I'm on Slimbean and for some reason my music app won't find the music on my phone. Just like how the gallery won't find the pictures on the phone. Since quick pic solves THAT problem, I thought play music might solve solves new problem, but it didn't. So does anyone know if there's a way to edit the framework somewhere to tell either app where to look for music?

Give Poweramp a shot. works for me fine with slim. I store my music on my sdcard also.

My apologies if it's been asked, I've Google and searched forums with no luck. Currently running Liquid Smooth 2.2 on my d2vzw, but I've noticed this on pretty much every rom I've flashed since flashing aosp type roms. Anyway, while playing music through my phone, using any type of music playing app (Google play music, player pro and even the new Now Playing beta) while the music is playing in the background, whenever I open an app or close an app or type/text or etc... The music skips briefly. While just a minor nuisance, it is a nuisance still. Any ideas?

This happens to me too! Only on Liquid Smooth.
Never happened on any mastamoon CM builds. I havent run TW in forever, so no idea how that works.
I've tried a bunch of different governor settings with KT kernel. Also get's all skippy with Imos kernel.
Anyone have ideas?
I was using the app flawlessly on a JB rom (Slimbean for YP-G70) and now, in my KK rom (Beanstalk for YP-G70), the app crashes upon trying to scan for media. Due to its use of its own media scanner, the app is useless with this error. I love it and just want my music playing right again. I own the full version. Any ideas on what I can do? I would post in the thread for Beanstalk but unfortunately I am still locked out of the dev section.
