Infinity rom stuck on galaxy boot - Verizon Droid Charge

I had the infinity Tom installed from before the fp1 update. I tried loading the newest infinity rom from 3-20 and phone got stuck on galaxy boot animation . I Odin my phone back to edp then let it take the factory update then Odin cwm and used cwm mounted system cleared data and installed infinity rom boot phone and get stuck on galaxy. I tried waiting about 10min pulled battery and still stuck. I tried the whole process over and same outcome. Am I missing something? Thanks

I'm assuming you are RFS since you odin'd back to stock and took the OTA?
Also I don't know if it matters, but Infinity hasn't been updated to the latest OTA. You could try out Eclipse 2.0 or Tweaked 2.0, which are already updated to FP1.

it does matter. u cant run ep4 roms on an fp1 kernel. like he said, tweaked 2.0 or eclipse 2.0 r the only custim roms u can run at the moment. if u want infinity u need to go back to ep4 and dont update.

Problems moving to Humble 1.35

Hey guys, I just came from Humble 2.2. I decided to switch back to Humble 1.35 Froyo because of its better battery life & kernel (plus voodoo!). As you know, 2.2 includes the EP1F update. So, I followed danalo's instructions for how to downgrade to ED1 and upgrade to EE4 again. Then, I flashed Humble 1.35 with Odin3 v1.7. It passed, but when I try to boot, it just hangs at the Samsung logo (with no sexy robot voice)...please answer ASAP, I'm getting really nervous
If you have problems with a flash you could always just try reflashing. I've never bootlooped my phone so I can't help you through experience but a lot of the time a simple reflash fixes these problems.
I have boot looped my old evo. It was fixed each time by clearing the caches/factory reset and reflashing the rom.

Can't get into CWR, and I've already tried reflashing.
Well, I got it working back on this stock Odin package http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116867 and when I reflashed 1.35 it did the same thing. Redownloading Humble now, see if that fixes anything.
Edit: Okay, I'm definitely not going insane. It's doing the same thing. What gives?
if its converting to EXT4 it can take up to 5-8 minutes..especially if you cleared cache and dalvik..even if there is no voice I would wait at least that long before you panic.........
I don't think the 1.35 Odin package flashes absolutely everything required to run, as if you're expected to be rooted, cwm etc already before flashing. So i propose flashing the 3rd Odin package in the link above, and then flashing to 1.35. Don't have any time to test this, will do it in the morning

same here. I had to flash 1.2 though odin, which gives you everything (root, kernel & rom) and then install 1.35 zip from cwm.

+1. This is what you have to do. I had to do the exact same thing last night.
make sure you are using odin 1.7 or higher to flash also
I had that happen once when I flashed a friend's Charge and flashing this package over top fixed it.

I am running de-bloated EP1W on droid charge, and i was wondering if i can install CWM recovery onto the phone with this 2.3.4
cause i tried earlier today, and i thought i bricked my phone, but after 1 hour of trying, i was able to install fresh copy of ep1w.
i tried to install CWM with odin 1.82

there shouldn't be a problem with that... put the CWM file in PDA, keep battery in and uncheck the 'auto reboot' and flash away but keep in mind it'll be one time use since there's no custom kernel

ya when i finished the flash, i got into a bootloop on the SAMSUNG logo.

imoseyon has a custom kernel with ext4 autoconversion and init.d scripting support posted over at rootzwiki. It doesn't have a lot of tweaking since we still don't have source, but I can verify that those two things definitely work.

yes, it bootlooped right after flashing CWM onto EP1W. and after it bootlooped, i tried flashing a fresh EP1W with Odin 1.82, and it didnt want to do it. I was finally able to flash EP1W with Odin 1.85.
2 questions,
1. is there a stock recovery available to flash if i run into this problem again?
2. off topic- is there a Samsung Media Hub APK available for the de-bloated version of EP1W.

Media Hub for Fascinate from the Market has always worked in the past. I can't verify it for sure on EP1W and imoseyon 1.0.5 since my phone isn't on me, but it definitely worked on EP1Q.
Personally, I used Odin v1.83 to load EP1W and then I flashed the imunts CWM 08-17-11 version after that with no problems at all.
However, here is what I did:
After entering Download Mode on the phone, and before starting the flash, I put the battery back into the phone!
Also, I unchecked those two options (auto reboot and reset time)
When both Odin and the phone showed that flashing was completed, I removed the USB and then removed the battery.
I fully loaded EP1W using this method, then I booted up the phone and let it fully boot.
I shutdown the phone and put it back into Download Mode and did the CWM separately. I did not try to flash the EP1W and CWM at the same time.
ya, i didnt try flashing at the same time either, it was days apart, first EP1W, then CWM.
i already had EP1Q, but apparently when i flashed over from EP1Q to EP1W, my CMW was gone, thats why i wanted to flash it onto my phone again.

Boot Loop & System Update

Hi guys,
Kind of a Noob here,
2 days ago i recieved a message on my phone that i have a system update...i know i can't update because i'm rooted. But i keep getting this message over and over again.
I am also running Gummycharged 2.0 and would like to update to 2.1 but i keep getting stuck on the samsung logo.
I have flashed CWM recovery 4008-did the 3 wipes-and reinstalled gc2.0 and then 2.1 but still bootloop.
-Droid Charge
-Gummycharged 2.0
-kernel i have the orange text with the bananna logo...4.008 or something
Any ideas on what i can do with this "System Update" and this "Boot Loop"?
I have searched, read, and tried many things but no luck.
I have re-installed Gummycharged 2.0 about 14 times already and used Odin a few times.
-Any input/help would be great
Thanks in Advance
Have you tried ODINing EE4 with the PIT file?
Have you tried factory reset?
My phone kept shuting off at the screen with the gummy logo and the dots until I did the factory reset.
Because your are using Gummycharged, you will keep getting the OTA System update but will not be able to update the firmware. Ive tried it and researched it for hours until i found out we, Gummycharged users, cant download the update. It sucks because I switched roms for a while and tried it and it seems pretty nice. But I restored back to GummyCharged 2.1 . I will just wait a while and keep up with the threads to see who will make the next best, themed, rommed, rooted, etc. with the new update.
I think Danilo is his name who made an [ALL IN ONE] Rom with the update with an option to have the phone deoxed and debloated or not. BUT, it wasn't theme the way I wanted it to be like my Gummy charged is so thats why I switched back
If you don't care about themes then go and get that ALL IN ONE file. Let me know if you can't find it.
I am on gummy never have I. Gotten a notification on gummy or humble

If I flash to stock EE4...and do the update, then can i re-root and have my phone updated?

Upgrade to FP1 question (any issues with this method?)

Inherited a Droid Charge running GummyCharged 2.1 from my housemate.
I want to switch to Eclipse 2.0. I know in order to run FP1 builds, you need to run stock kernel if you want wifi. Except, I also noticed that the PBJ kernel recently fixed the wifi issue.
I'm under the impression you're told to revert to stock, run OTA update, then flash your FP1 ROM so you have the latest stock kernel.
Or is there more to it than the kernel?
I'd rather skip the revert/flash/etc/etc, I updated to the latest CWM, made a backup, factory restored, wiped cache/dalvik, flashed ROM, flashed kernel, rebooted, everything seems fine (wifi working no issues). But... that doesn't mean that it is.
EDIT: Yeah, my baseband in About Phone shows i510.06 V.EE4 SCH-I510.EE1, which is what it was before. Can I get just the baseband?
Thanks!
By the way, I don't care about carrier signal at all, this phone got wet and no longer accepts SIM cards. The other functions still work, so I'm using it on wifi and I'm trying to re-purpose the device to be a portable offline GPS for hiking. But I did read that FP1 gets better GPS locks, which is part of why I want to run it.
U cant get the fp1 upgrade on a cstom rom. U have to go back to stock n get the ota upgrade. I suggest usin titanium to back up ur stuff then flash what u want. Stock fp1 or pjb 5/24 r both good, but u gta get back to factory first.

Actually, I figured "what you do do well" and I decided to follow the suggested directions. I used ODIN, restored to stock EP4... and couldn't get past the main screen. Can't read SIM cards, so can't get past the activate screen. I then flashed back an FP1 rom, the latest PBJ kernel, and [attempted] to use the EP4 to FP1 patch, which hung and failed.
It looks like if I want to get my baseband to FP1, I'll have to jump through hoops (maybe flashing a stock EP4 pre-rooted ROM from ODIN? maybe?) Regardless, since the CDMA antenna in this thing is useless anyway, I'm just gonna skip it.
Thank you for your reply!
Well, now that you have borked your phone a bit, go and download the EP4 ODIN package and flash it (in ODIN or SamsungPST). Might not be a bad idea to flash the PIT while you're at it. You'll probably have to flash CWM, and then PBJ from within CWM (stock kernel overwrites it) Then go and try flashing your ROM of choice again (cough *tweaked* cough), either in ODIN (with the respective package) or CWM. (again with the proper package).

thanks kvswim, that's pretty much exactly what I did yesterday. I'm even running Tweaked 2.1
It's too bad, I really prefer the theme of Eclipse, but I just couldn't handle the lack of TSM Parts.

Help! boot loop

ok so i rooted a few weeks ago and downloaded the usual apps. super user titanium back up and clock work mod. tried to flash a rom with clock work mod and got the e:signature verification failure message. found a post for a kernal that made clock work mod actually work so i tried to flash a rom. zSimplyAOKPV5_Dark to be exact. now it sticks on boot screen. i have searched for hours and cannot find a way to fix my problem. its my first rooted android and first attempted rom flash and i botched it right off the rip. please help?
Depending on what you did beforehand, you have some options.
If you have backed everything up previously, just flash back to stock with one of the one-click stock roms in the Development section (they're in a sticky).
If you haven't backed everything up, try holding V+/V-/power until it reboots. If it doesn't take you to recovery, you can try to flash a kernel (most likely one that would match the version of android/rom you were running prior to this flash) and see if it lets you into recovery. You'll have to flash it with either Odin or Heimdall, after rebooting into download mode (power off, hold V+/V-, insert USB).
If that doesn't work, though, the stock flashing would probably be your best and/or only bet.
it wont allow me into recovery though i can get to download mode by pulling the battery and pressing just the volume +- and plugging in the usb. i was trying to flash an ics slim rom. thanks for your very speedy response.
i have now tried to flash a stock rom however it is not working from there even with the stock kernal. now it is hanging on the at&t screen.
ok i got it. seems the kernal i flashed to help cwd work properly was the culprit. now i dont know how im going to flash this ics rom im looking at without it.

Flash corn kernel if you have stock gingerbread
Sent from my SGH-I897
The utility in my signature can help you flash the Corn Kernel so that you will have CWM.
I have corn kernal and odin 3 on the computer at home. Ill do that tonight. Any suggestions on a good stable rom for a noob? Preferably ics. I hated posting for fear of being flamed as a noob. My wife keeps making fun of me for it so I kinda have to get it done. I want to fix hers also. Its a great little phone it just seem a bit buggy to me. Very laggy. Thanks for all the help.

Maybe start with a KK4 based rom such as Legend and then move up to ICS after that. I only say that because there is a bug in ICS that could render your internal SD unusable. It's rare, but when it happens you will not be happy.
Still unable to get corn kernal to flash. I've tried a few of your guys fixes but I'm gonna have to get some other updates to my computer first.
