classic look

Hi everyone
I have my HD2 and i have to say it is superb.
I have looked everywhere and i cannot see any mods to give the HD2 a classic look on the homescreen. i.e remove the program shorcuts from beneath the clock and enable the old program tab along the bottom.
The large screen is so superb and it is a bit too busy and hides the magnificence of a great wallpaper.
also it would be nice if everyone put in one thread all the personalisation mods that work for them from the HD as well as new ones.
I have tried several of them that used to work on my cooked HD roms but now do not on my HD2.
Thinks like tranparent clocks and i would love to have a transparent top taskbar leaving just the icons floating and bottom bar where the menu and phone shorcuts are with out having to install complete theme chager which tweak too many things.
If anyone can help that would be great

go to settings click menu click more than there is a option home screen
there u can ad your classic stuf and dissable htc sence or enable new WM 6.5 home screen. i hope u can find it

I think he's asking for a more TouchFLO look, rather than a Sense UI.
I think you're gonna have to wait a while mate. A lot of the customisations that we thought of as normal on the HD simply aren't available yet on the HD2.
I was the same - my HD was modded like mad, but the HD2 is more like it was out of the box. It took a while, but I'm now very used to the Sense UI, and would feel lost without the functionality that I've gained from that extra clutter.
Have a look at the Sense tweaks and mods thread. That has some good stuff in it, but not as much as you're looking for, yet.

However JohnC your are exactly right. It is the classic touch flo look that i am looking for. i would love to have the option to remove the program shorcuts from the homescreen and have the program tab back along the bottom and practically everthing transparent on the home screen.
Maybe htc could give us the option of the classic touchflo look or the htc sense look. in the next rom update. in the mean time all tweaks would be welcome

I have two problems that stop me getting what I want which I ran on my TyTn II perfectly well. HTC in their infinite wisdom have removed the SMS entries from messaging and thus from the messaging today screen plugin. Secondly as they have also removed the task bar options I cannot set either get it in the top right hand corner of the screen or set the X button to close apps rather than just minimise them. Any ideas how I can re-enable these please?
I am more than happy to disable the cluttered SenseUI nonsense. Having SenseUI as an option is one thing, having it forced on you as a result of not being able to do things in the standard interface because HTC have removed them is another. The whole point of Windows Mobile is it's customisability and HTC have managed to break this!

Sense 3.0 Lock-screen

I ran across this on the g2x themes page here on xda, it is the sense 3.0 lock screen and it worked on my tab running Jupiter. This is not my work just letting people know, one is a paid version and other a free version, download "Agile Lock" from the market and enjoy.

Yes, I suddenly also found a guy nickname don2012 who compiled a bunch of stuff together to mimic the HTC Sense into Galaxy S2 --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652355
I tried in, agile lock works 100% I think, my own security lock doesn't come back right after agile lock, but it comes with a big delay, or when you install new apps (funny). Anyway, this agile lock works 10% in terms of potrait landscape autorotate and sizes auto stretch all OK. Dragging icons / functions i.e. camera into it also works 100%.
Sense clock was not as beautiful as fancy widget, it couldn't auto stretch properly.
Sense Launcher works, auto rotate etc, but the HTC 3 main button size is out of shape. Haven't found the right settings to correct them, if it's even possible?
I put the bootanimation into but it didn't show, it showed the old one instead, may be because I renamed the old Obootanimation.zip, may be I should delete it.
Didn't try beats audio and others.

A Few AddOns for IC 3.4.1 ?

Hello my dear Friends,
I have the IC 3.4.1 Mods with the newest Bricked Kernel. I want to have just a couple of more improvments, can you help me out?
1. Is there an smooth, transparent app drawer with Pages for IC 3.4.1 ?
2. I cant set a full wallpaper, even if its in the sensation resolution, i can only choose a small cut out of the picture.
3. I have problems with the GSM reception, what Radio should I install for a german network?
4. Maybe a CRT animation for IC?

OK, about the first two questions, You could flash the Thyparancy Theme found in the themes section which will give you that transparent app drawer like you wanted, right now there isnt too many sense 3.5 themes but that will change.
Second, Yeah it is a bit annoying but it seems that HTC has removed the wallpaper scrolling part, but not from where you select the wallpaper. I found the best way around this was to use photoshop or any editing program and add extra canvas on the sides, which allowed me to put a thin image as my background. Hope that made sense..
I don't know about radios, but there is a thread about radios in the Android Development part for the sensation.. maybe try there

I really like some default DS wallpapers from sense 2.1 stock Rom, anyone can show me that where i can find them?

[Q] Help needed with HTC Sensation

Hi guys
I was wondering if any one could enlighten me with a problem im having with my HTC sensation Z710e, android v4.0.3, HTC sence v3.6.
I'm new to android so have no idea whats, what.
Theres no wigets or apps shortcuts in the personalize section.
when i hold my finger on the home screen, i go to Personalize screen, then i tap Widget and the next windows blank same goes for the Add App Shortcut screen theres nothing there except the title and most buttons have no function except the home button.
Am i missing something here, why is there no icons in these screens.
i have tried installing nice widget packs ect but still no widgets show up.
can any one tell me what im doing wrong here!!!.

Your're in the right section.
I'm not using Sense 3.6 so it's a bit hard for me to visualise the steps you've done.
You seem to be doing the right steps. Have you tried rebooting the phone?

seems that you're expieriencing some troubles, welle i never had such issue but there are thing you have to do before flashing new roms.
when you flash a new rom, perform a superwipe before.then flash rom.
some mods can brake things in your rom so be carefull of what you flash.
and when you flash a mod or kernel ,i advice you to perform a wipe cache and dalvick before.
i run Elegancia rom sense 3.6, delicious rom, no issues, fast smooth and stable. and i always use eleganca themes mods and skins, this way i never had issue ,no broken things.

looks like some data got screwed up...
one thing you can try is ...go to settings->apps->all apps->ht sense->clear data
this might restore your widgets and all (but UI goes default)
or if this option is not at all available..then flash the same rom again..with just wiping cache + dalvik (this way you'll lose the mods..but rest of data stays intact)

I bought this phone as a manufactuers tested unit and it was upgraded by them to icecream as far as i know!
Not really happy about flashing the rom as I bricked my spv m5000 when i chose wrong rom version that i had previously download but didnt check. dum a** or what
i think its still under warranty so ill refrain from that at the moment, but thanks.

I might give your idea of (clear data) a try, but when UI goes default what does that change exactly, does that just change whats on the Home screen and will it delete shortcuts created as well and what eles!.
