Hello guys... First of all I have Galaxy S2 i9100, with CF root and MIUI 2.3.30 latest update... It is based on ICS 4.0.3...
I happend to have a problem with my noise reducion... When I have my case/bumper on, callers voice echoes in his phone, but in mine is all fine...
It solves the problem if I turn NR off in settings when i call someone, but it wont stay there...
I read some articles here that I have to find a line (system file and so on) with something like xxx.xxx.audio=1... Then change =1 to =0 and it should permanentely disable Noise reduction... But in that build.prop seems to not have line like it...
Can someone please help me... Getting desperate that people dont hear me or hear themselves twice...
Thanks a lot!!
Can you try to reflash the rom ? , and wipe your battery and dalvik cache as well as do a format system . By formatting , i mean like DO NOT CLICK ON THE ONE THAT ERASES THE FILE ON YOUR SD CARD . Use the one that says Factory Reset/wipe data and wipe cache partition before flashing the rom . If you didn't do all of those , it might result in what happened to yours . I do not have this problem because I did it my style .

I did al that before flashing...
I will probably have to reflash it again
But I noticed a lot off topics regarding that problem... So if someone would find the value where to change =1 to =0 I would be very delighted...
Also when in Settings i Open Phone status... it crashes and returns to home menu... I can not acces IMEI nuber, signal strength,... etc...
No one??

Hi , i rooted my phone (after much tries , finally using Super One Click) , then i unrooted it. Now for some reason , my phone hangs whenever i turn on Wi Fi.
It wasnt happening when i bought the phone (Just a week ago)
I need help on how to restore it to complete factory sealed settings.
I'm in India(if that creates a difference in firmware).
Thanks !
You can factory reset but this will loose all your data/ contacts/images/sms/apps you installed from the market so take backup via kies if you need that data.
Settings > privacy> factory data reset
Hope you get it all new after reset, let us know.
Thanks for the suggestion , but i did a factory reset(many times over) , but it still hangs at the WiFi scanning networks . Also , the phone's performance seems to have degraded VERY MUCh.
:'(
if you want to hard reset your phone then go to the dialer and type the following code *2767*3855#
before this first make a backup of your phone by kies and do it at your own risk
Just did a hard reset , phone is rebooting..
EDIT : Rebooted Phone , tried to turn on Wi-Fi , again stuck...
How can i restore it to completely factory settings , like when i bought it ?
Check your wifi settings
hardware problem with the antenna may be the problem for which u have to go to samsung.
The phone's kinda slow as well...
How do i check if it's the antenna ? i mean , is there any way ?
And no way to fall back to Sealed settings ?
When you did hard reset did all the installed apps returned to default setings?
after market apps were removed?
Did you instaled any app from the market to manage the wifi network?
I dont know any other way as yet best is to take it to samsung workshop as its under warranty.
To the best of my knowledge , yes the apps went back to their default state after the hard reset..I couldnt figure out how it was any different from the "Wipe Cache/Factory Reset" in the aNDROID recovery.
The problem actually started when i wanted to connect to an ad hoc network which i made on my laptop and android cant see it by default.
So , i replaced the wpa_supplicant by a custom file.
Wifi hanged for the first time.
Then somehow i copied back the default wpa_supplicant file but the problem is still on. I used adb to push as far as i remember.
Maybe i should try putting the default wpa_supplicant file back but im pretty sure that i've already done that.
I copied the instructions from emoiz.com,ad hoc networking and the comments said that it was working , but i got screwed...
Taking to samsung would be the easiest route unless you have other reasons not to do so, they should be able to sort this out.
Took it to the service station , the "Sir" who was supposed to handle software couldnt even do a factory reset thru android recovery , he said it cant be done thru software...I thought otherwise...
so dont they have the hardware reset, how else do they solve your problem, tell them you have got a new handset which is not working to connect to wifi.
Call the samsung helpline & register a service complain get the complaint number, even I am having some issue with the camera setting, will post a new thread to confirm then take it to the service center.
friggin Holi came in between...Will have to wait till wednesday(23 March) , but i guess ill wait till then ...Will give other options a go whille im at it though.
well , i maybe onto something...please i need to know from someone with a GT i9003 that what are the contents of the /data/wifi directory.

even IF I am an I9000 user not i9003 , it should still work to flash with odin I guess. If you know the Phone , Pda and CSC of your phone , search your rom on xda or samfirmware.com and download it , put the files in odin , put phone in download mode (Volume down + Big Home Button and then Power at the same time ) , plug usb to phone and computer , close other apps , hit start and wait to finish ( don't touch phone until it restarts ) . If you brick your phone , don't blame me , I just made a sugestion .

Maybe a registry failure?
Clear all the caches on applications that fail.
Make a factory reset(will lose data) - only way to correct some corrupted data.
Are Your battery levels/temperatures ok?

yup all is normal
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been posted before, I have had a look but cant find the solution!
I have a HTC Desire HD that I have rooted using the AAHK, this has worked fine.
Next, I have searched around for a rom to use and found the Cibernodo Mod2Bravo V7.1 (English version) . . . I have put the zip file on to my SD card . . . restarted in recovery mode, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe Dalvik cache, wipe battery stats, install zip from SD card, chosen the Cibernodo file and gone through the installation process . . . .
I have done all of this several times, and downloaded the zip again but I constantly get the same results:
Mounting and formatted partitions
Mounting /data
Mounting /sd-ext
Formatting /system
Mounting /system
Intalling System & Data partitions
Installing Gingerbread Keyboard
Installing Zeam Launcher
Installing ES File Manager
Installing CM/GB player
Installing 3DGallery
Removing Apps NOT selected
Installing Cibernodo Bootanimation
Configuring installed files
Setting permissions of /data
Configuring System Files
assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img","boot")
Yes, I am a noob, and no, I dont know much about this but I have followed everything to the letter as far as I can see ... is there something glaringly obvious that I am doing wrong?
To top it off, each time I complete this process a message pops up telling me:
Congratulations...
Cibernodo Mod2Bravo has been installed correctly on your phone
Click Finish, and restart your phone.
Thanks
Installation State: 1792
So is the 'assert failed' the issue here, and if so, how do I fix it?
Sorry to go into so much detail but I just want to see where I have gone wrong ... many thanks in advance!
[EDIT]
when my phone reboots it goes back to where I started from, i.e. the downgraded version of android from after rooting . . .
I will also try downloading and installing a previous version, V6.1z ...
Same issue with that version, so Im pulling hair out lol!
This has now gone from bad to worse ... I ran the aahk again as super user and busy box disappeared, thinking I would start from fresh again . . . there was a pause in the process and now my phone is stuck on the white HTC screen . . . anyone able to shed any light on this at all?
I've managed to speak to someone and apparenly I am not bricked and can run a ruu ... when I re-run the aahk it wont start as the error message comes up ... the phone is plugged in, the drivers are installed but I am guessing the USB debugging has been disabled . . . so does anyone know how to enable this from the aahk main screen with regards to the fact I can't boot into android?
Looks like there are lots of reasons for this... and it's a can of worms. Also, the Desire HD is one handset that my network has never sold direct, so I have seen one in eighteen months. I'm less familiar with it than I'd like... Just checking the thread and you're using the Desire HD, yes?
This thread degenerated a little and I think you've tried the chatroom too, but there are some useful pointers here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646178
And also here:

Good luck. Keep us posted.
Thank you for that, I have got to the point where I don't know what to look for anymore lol! I will have a read through those ...
Installed CWM 6 did some backing up and then flashed cm-10.1-20130709-UNOFFICIAL-galaxys4gmtd and gapps-jb-20130301-signed.
Did factory reset and cleared cache and dalvik cache and reset permissions.
After install all callers complain of hearing bad echo. So bad that they can't hold a conversation.
I have tried multiple different roms and all exhibit echo.
From everything I have read (A LOT), all echo probs have been fixed a while back.
Is there something I need to do or a different rom maybe etc. etc. as my phone is unusable at present?
I tried blowing different radio files but I can only presume that they weren't the right ones as I had no signal/connection at all. Blowing cm-10.1-20130709-UNOFFICIAL-galaxys4gmtd again sorted the lack of radio. But I still have bad echo.
Cheers, Duncan
Sorted
I believe I have it sorted.
I noticed when going through settings that the IMEI was set to 00000000
I did a google and found that it's to do with files not having been copied back into /efs which i had backed up to my pc before installing the new ROM.
As I started work on putting the IMEI back in place I noticed a folder deep in /efs called "acoustic" and looking very much like audio settings for calls.
I pushed the files back with adb from my backup and then changed ownership to radio and rebooted.
Voila .... IMEI now back in place and echo pretty much gone, very quiet echo much like a normal cell call.
need ur help guys
iam using t959w .. i used to have ginger 2.2

sorry for my bad english
Hi, first of all, an apology for my writing in English.
I have a problem with my phone, was working with wrtp and with the original rom, suddenly turned off and rebooted, entered and only appeared for a moment the phone signal and blinked.
The problem was that I wanted to reinstall the original firmware of the phone, but when I wipe the phone it comes out "flash_image /dev/block/plattform/soc.0/by-name/metadata / dev / zero process ended with error: 255 "
Also when I wipe the directory / data, restart the phone and I go to see the partition, I appear in 0 and in f2fs format, I have wanted to go to ext4 or similar but it will not let me. When I install the original rom it does not enter and it is cycled and the message of deleting appears, I install wrtp again and it leaves that it can not format the partition / data
I really appreciate your help:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: here pics my phone //goo.gl / photos / cYTJBovF2HEK8mBW7
