To watch normal rips of dvds I'm using mobo player but I can't seem to get it to play full screen I always have the task bar menu at the bottom any help would be great
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
I think the honeycomb task bar (if that is what you mean) is always shown. Hopefully in some future update they'll allow the transparency to be set, or even dismiss it completely (unless the screen is pressed or suchlike)

It's cool how the stock movie player kinda hides the task bar with just seeing faint dots were the navigation buttons were.
Maybe app developers just need to update their software to support this Honeycomb feature?
Good point - I havn't tried the stock movie player, but know what you mean as I've seen it on the YouTube app.
It does that even with games, and without having physical buttons, something has to be static to allow you to go back or home.
There's so much room for error there, causing you to have to do hard reboot if the program froze.
Just like in a PC OS, there's always the taskbar or start bar, there has to be a static menu bar somewhere.
Im using CM Flare ICS 4.0.4 Android with a custom rom S'Flare. I've found a problem on the custom roms of my phone CM Flare, the popup windows like when i click Brightness, Sound, Holding Power button etc, the background of the popup window is the wallpaper that i apply unlike on the stock rom the background is the current app that im using or my current activity. Anyone can fixed my problem. I'd like to change the background of my popup boxes into my current activity the a blur effect. Anyone who can help me? Thanks.
i use stitcher and spotify alot, and withe very other android phone I can play/pause from the lockscreen, as theres a notification banner for it.
this phone doesn't have one. I have to unlock the phone, swipe down, and then get into the app from the notification shade.
Any way to access open apps from the lockscreen?
So far, you can't do nothing, EMUI is like that

I use Spotify on my Honor 8 and it shows me album art, along with play/pause/forward/back buttons on the lock screen for the currently playing song...
Not sure why you're not seeing the same. Are you using something other than the default "Magazine"-style lock screen that the phones uses by default?
You can use the software to unlock the way, but requires root privileges

When using stitcher for podcasts, i must unlock the phone first before I can swipe down and access podcast controls.
Hi ,
There is an issue i cannot solve on my phone.
I have Spotify installed and running on my device, so far so good.
But even if this music app is not running (also in the background) at all, this "media output device" notification is
being shown ALL THE TIME ! It even shows uo everytime i restart my phone.
As i already said, it has nothing to do with Spotify, as i disabled that notification anyway.
Anyone knows how to get rid of this ?
Kind regards,
Valy
I am facing the same issue. Any solution..?
I have picked up a similar issue when using samsung music or vlc. When I stop listening to music it's there...swipe away, after a while it's back...oncy after the 2nd or 3rd swipe it stays away until the next time I listen to music. I have a bixby routine that opens vlc when I connect my buds pro and reverses it, so technically it must close the app and it works, but notifications doesn't go away
Did anyone ever solve this?
I have found that Spotify really doesn't like to actually close/quit unless I kill it from the Apps menu. I even went so far as to program a Tasker task to call the Spotify info screen in the Apps menu (where the Force Stop button is) and then actually "push" the Force Stop button, accept the prompt, and return to home. It was surprisingly complex to do, might be easier to do with Bixby (haven't dived into Bixby much just yet, been using Tasker since 2012 and habits are hard to break ), but so far it's the only way I've found to definitively kill Spotify, and in turn, that notification.
On stock Android, there is an "Media" sub menu in the "Sounds & Vibrations" settings that allows you to "Hide player when the media session has ended". Samsung for whatever reason decided to remove it, however, you can bring it up again with Nova Launcher.
Steps in Nova Launcher:
1) Add new "Nova Launcher->Activity" widget to the homescreen
2) Refer to screenshot 1. Go to the "Settings" dropdown and pick the option circled.
3) Click on the widget once it's created, you should see the hidden "Media" sub menu, refer to screenshot 2.
4) Uncheck "Pin Media Player".
Done, the Spotify notification will disappear after you swipe Spotify away in the Recents menu. Note, this doesn't fix the problem with Samsung Music thou as swiping away Samsung Music doesn't technically close it. You'll have to find another music player if you want it to behave the same as Spotify.
I fixed it using the Nova Launcher method. Thanks!

Settings - Notifications. Tap more. If Spotify is not in the most recent, tap Most Recent, select All and then scroll down until you find Spotify abs toggle it off. You can toggle any other app notifications off too.

This worked! I had the same problem! I installed Nova Launcher in hopes of solving the 'media output' floater always coming back. But for other Samsung S22 Ultra owners, I found the items looked somewhat different. The "media_controls_title" was instead just titled 'Media.' After I found it, it opened and contained the same buttons listed above. Thank you!

Try the Ncleaner app from the play store. You may uninstall it after your done
Found a way of doing this via Tasker. Create and run this task (only once) to disable the hidden setting.

As a reference, for me, in Nova Settings i had to do the following (i have the interface a little bit different):
Add new "Nova Launcher->Activity" widget to the homescreen
Select "Settings" (it has 368 subitems for me)
find "Media" (it shows ".Settings$MediaControlsSettingsActivity" under it)
After that use the shortcut as advice FrydaeXIII said (points 3 and 4 from hist post)
