How To Uninstall Cynogenmod 7 - General Questions and Answers

How I can uninstall CynogenMod 7 from my Samsung Galaxy Ace?

No anyone to help me?

On any device, you "uninstall" a ROM by wiping the phone and then flashing another ROM. Wipes and flashes are done in recovery.

Use OdIN, and flash stock firmware

Wipe & flash another ROM.

And where I can download Firmware with original Touchwiz for my Galaxy Ace with BASEBAND:S5830XWKP8 Thanks

Wipe/flash another from. Try another custom rom. what fun is rooting if you just go back to stock

And it must have the same baseband as my phone?

or it's not important?

Flashing stock roms for Samsung phones are different. Unless u only download the rom itself then u just flash the file u downloaded. Usually there is another file that is for flashing the modem.

Help!

Hi,
I needed to remove clockworkmod and reinstall standard fw on my S5670 (UK) to sell it.
I reflashed using FW from samfirmware (S5670XWKQ2) and now it won't boot properly it just goes into a loop.
1) Is that the correct firmware?
2) I did it using Odin and the "One Package" setting is that correct.
3) How do I get out of this mess?
Would really appreciate someone more knowledgeables help!!
Thanks guys

No problem. There's no way unless you flash a custom ROM that's as closed to stock as possible.

^ agreed! flash a custom stock rom in recovery such as beans or synergy...thats as close as you will get to stock without using odin.
Took me awhile to figure this out.
And what I found out is you have to flash one of the stock roms before the kernel or it won't work. You have to be unlocked of course. Flash any Rom in cwm then after it installs and your still in recovery flash the stock kernel. Here's a link to the kernel

[Q] GT-I9003L update

Hi all! I'm trying to update my Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9003L). It's rooted.I get an OTA update but when I try to apply it, it says "Kernel verify fail. Update fail"
My current firmware version is 2.3.6, my baseband is I9003LUBKPD, my kernel version is is 2.6.35.7-CL765780 [email protected] #1 and my compilation number is GINGERBREAD.UBKPE
I think the problem has to do with the phone being rooted. I unrooted it using the clockwork mod recovery menu, but it didn't work either.
Is there anything I could do?
Thanks!!!
Its giving that error because u r rooted.
Rooting changes your kernel.
And even after unrooting ur device from recovery the kernel remains the same.

So, does it mean I'm out of luck?
No.
U may flash stock rom.
And later from settings u may update ur phone.

Is there a way to just restore the recovery kernel without flashing the whole rom?

(I tried to find the answer before asking but I haven't been able to) Do I need to flash the full stock rom? Or is there a way to just restore the stock recovery kernel? I'm asking because when I rooted I just flashed the PDA file to the phone, but I'm still using the stock rom.
And... is there any guide or tutorial to do this?
-Removed for Personal Information-
I have one way to help.
Keep the stock fw file on sdcard and then by using mobileOdin, select kernel and choose the rom file.
And dont forget to uncheck the rooting options at bottom.
But be sure you have a backed up ur current rom.
As i m not sure if it will definitely work or not.

just flash the entire stock firmware if you want to get OTA

Are you using CWM or ROM Manager? If the answer is CWM, did you use ROM Manager or NVflash?
Also, have you tried a different ROM, or just the same one?

Basically what the first reply was, but wanted to add in so you know,
If you used ROM Manager to do basically anything, you need to NVFlash CWM and than always use CWM to flash anything. ROM Manager does whats called a fake flash of CWM.
And than yes, which ROM(s)?

well i tried flashing stock and it works but when i rebooted after the LG boot Screen the screen is all black and the backlight just keeps flashing on and off... any suggestions?
Search the G2x development forum for Batch Cleanup Tool. Run that, then flash a stock ROM. Boot that ROM once, then try a custom ROM.

Which stock ROM are you installing? Have you tried downloading it again, to make sure it's not a bad download?
Also which CWM are you using? if you're using touch, rev ert back to an older version
